Yes Dawn Of War III left a lot to be desired in gameplay and visuals. Though I will admit some of the soundtrack from DOW III was great. The Ork DOW III theme was freaking sweet and certainly fitted the idea of Ork vehicles roaring across the desert. If there was anything Dawn Of War III partially got right it was the soundtrack.

I agree, the best part about it is in game the tracks are actually more 'tame' while not in combat, but as soon as you get to some guys shooting guns, the track immediately picks up so it's fast paced and gives you more of an epic feeling.

I've began to understand that this is more than a hobby or franchise; Warhammer 40,000 is a whole new mythology, filled with heroes, kings, monsters, tyrants, terrible struggles and all the archetypes of legend etched into the Human psyche. Whether it is the Emperor's symbolism of mankind's true potential or the promise of eternal warfare and chaos embodied in Horus and Abaddon, we can all see who we are and can be in the grim darkness of the far future.
Reminds me some Ultimate Apocalypse games on Soulstorm, with a pair of Reaver Titans devastating enemy lines, and your infinite waves of imperial guards and leman russ vanquishers marching to the battle with dat song.... So beautiful.

This song and it's epic tone basically says why the Space Marines, and all of the Imperium in general, dominate the galaxy. Because no matter how unforgivng their galaxy is, Humanity's ruthless drive for survival coupled with sincere faith in the Emperor and His Space Marines enable simple people to stand against the most titanic threats and come out on top.
I was trained how to clean, disassemble, reassemble, load, fire and unload a military grade assault rifle without ever reading anything. Pretty sure a bunch of fresh conscripts could become proficient in using a Lasgun within about a week provided they learn all the "litany's" mentioned in the Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer. Also the life expectancy of most conscripts in the Imperium is sometimes less than the time it takes for maintenance to become an issue. Grimdark is it not?

Because no matter how unforgivng their galaxy is, Humanity's ruthless drive for survival coupled with sincere faith in the Emperor and His Space Marines enable simple people to stand against the most titanic threats and come out on top.

I was trained how to clean, disassemble, reassemble, load, fire and unload a military grade assault rifle without ever reading anything. Pretty sure a bunch of fresh conscripts could become proficient in using a Lasgun within about a week provided they learn all the "litany's" mentioned in the Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer. Also the life expectancy of most conscripts in the Imperium is sometimes less than the time it takes for maintenance to become an issue. Grimdark is it not?
