Hey Everyone, I hope you found the video informative and interesting! Let me know if you have any questions about Setsubun, living in Japan or anything else :) and thank you all for checking out the video!
"Throw us a like"😆👍🏻. Also, why didn't they take the beans out the packages before they threw them at you? It looks like that might've hurt😂. Good explanation of Setsubun. I remember going to a setsubun matsuri in a city called Nikko one year and being so excited to throw beans at the two demon mascots...along with all the children who were excited to do the same 😅.
Lol Thanks XD and the reason we didn't take them out, which I should have explained in the video, is I've heard from a number of families in my area that some people leave the beans in them so they can collect them after to eat. One of my friends said, " It would be wasteful to just throw them outside and leave them there" XD Having said that I know in most places people throw them freely. I just found it interesting that some people, at least in my Inaka area, leave them in the bag. I wanted to mention that in the video, but forgot e.e lol

Although 9 times out of ten they ussually do throw the beans individually so I guess I really should have thrown them that way 😅
