    Ever since I saw Will Prowse do this project I've been wanting to do the same. I think I will order the battery and do it. Good Video,

      It is one of those projects that you always want to do but never push the button to order. Once you have it, you start thinking about all of the possibilities and waiting for the next storm.

      Thank you. I'm really putting it through it's paces right now. It's been over 100° all week and I don't think it will cool off for a while. I've been running three air conditioners off it from around 0600 to 2000. I did add a second battery to it so when the sun is out, I can capture more of it.

      @@L2Survive sounds like a good experiment thinking about running this same system for my mushroom farm but using energy-efficient mini-splits with a good SEER rating will be also posting vids in the future as we go good to see people posting things like this self-sufficient love it great work 🙏🏻

    only if there was a way to set this up in a overland build. for the $ and power you get you cant beat it.
    it makes all the solar power generator companies look average at best. thanks for sharing. i want this set up now

      I don't see a reason why you couldn't just put this in a van/camper build and put solar on top. You just couldn't charge it as quickly but you could definitely run anything you needed as long as you have the battery capacity for longer run time

      I see people put these into RVs, campers, cargo trailers and vehicles all the time. I think mounting the solar panels would be the hardest part. You need X amount of Volts Open Circuit before the inverter will start up which equals X number of panels.

    • @L2Survive
      @L2Survive  4 месяца назад +1

      You could forget the panels and put a second, 48v alternator that connects to the inverter.

    Nice info, maybe I could operate some off grid in the Bahamas.plenty sunshine.

      For off grid, I would look at the EG4 6k inverter.

    Interesting.
    I wonder what the build cost is compared to the offerings of Anker, Ecoflow, etc.
    Aside from the fun building, of course. 😊

    How do you ground the system at home or on the road?

    • @L2Survive
      @L2Survive  4 месяца назад +1

      I'M NOT AN ELECTRICIAN. It has a neutral bond with the case. When I plug the blue input wire into the house, the ground light on the surge protector lights up. When it is not plugged into the wall, it is like any other battery bank or solar generator. I have been using it for a couple of months now in that shed and out camping. I haven't had any issues.
