Yes
yes and no. you don't get paid for time in school and on the job learning/ training is really just doing the little shit till you slowly can do what the journeymen do by watching them

You obviously don’t pay attention to the whole point of the video. Welders are part of the same international as steamfitters, sprinklerfitters, plumbers and hvac techs. That’s how there similar. Pay attention.

@@fitter5423 I know this comment is old but does a apprentice learn all of these trades or specialize in one. For example of I join the apprentriceship to become a plumber, will I be sent to work as a welder, HVAC tech, or pipefitter? Or can you choose which path you want.
In the United States you will join a trade specific union, sprinklerfitter, plumber, and steamfitters. I’m Canada apparently you can get a red seal in multiple trades. I’m not sure how that works being the fact that I live in the US. But long of a the short is that you will specialize in one.
@@fitter5423 What confused me is every ua apptenticeship as always shows welding and pipefitting as they are talking about plumbers and vice versa. I wasn't sure if everybody did everything. I myself want to become a plumber once I leave the military and wanted to make sure the union is the way to go. Thanks for the info man.
