Soybean School: Planting Green into Cereal Rye

    hello I just bought a house with feild that just had soybeans harvest. There is now soybean stalks left behind. I would like to plant a pature. Could you please tell me how I should go about getting the soy bean stalks out of the ground or should I just put gass seeds down over the bean stalks?

    Please qualify where the tests have occurred - northern climates are different than southern, corn or wheat prevoous year before the cover, stuff like that ... northern climate - hard to justify a cover after corn, or even beans as there is no growth over winter and when you can get in the field it is go time to plant- not waiting 2 more weeks

      @@jrwstl02 it’s all about yield. If you increase soil health. Yield will follow

      @@BigPtace You are 100% right on soil health! A point is that some are so focused on yield outcome, they don’t see the steps to soil health as a longer term investment.
