I still remember that fateful day. We were about to go to Mamaghar. When we went to the bus stop, there were lots of police and army personnel with guns and small tanks. One of the army men came to us and said, "The King has died. Buses aren't running today, so no use in waiting. Please go home". When we came home and turned on the television, all we could see was a picture of Shri Pashupatinath and sad music/sankha was playing in the background. My father, who was stationed at Saptari District as a Police officer at that time, called us the next day and told us that he had shaved his head as a mark of mourning for the demise of the head of the state.
I never believe that the then Crown Prince Dipendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev killed his whole family. Rest in Peace King of All Nepalese Heart❤️Jai Nepal🇳🇵

Just wanted to add a part: As far and as accurate as my studies suggest, the security was the biggest concern for the wounded royal members. They (The palace army who were taking wounded royal members to hospital) did not know who had shot them, so they did not want to play the risk by taking them to the nearest hospital where security was not strong enough and where the hitmen could arrive again anytime. So the Nepal army-guarded Chaauni Hospital was chosen. Personally, I verdict that the royal members should have been taken to the nearest hospital. I have been studying this assassination for more than 6 years now, and this has gone to a great depth now.

@@skyfall1235 The news about king's death was even published on newspaper but not in a straight way. The US had a base camp in Bhaktapur for the massacre plot where 2 dipendras, not just masks, were prepared. And of course, there were constraints to what Dr. Upendra could do.

Im so interesting in our former great king birendra.Recently i visited Narayan hiti Darbar and when i saw especially Shreesadan i was totally melt by seeing the sadan.
I came to know that our great king birendra was a great king in history.
Till then im big fan of him and respect him and his Family. However,i literally cried when i saw the Incident place and imagined how our King and his family sufferd at that time.
His living style was so simple which shows how he was a king with great heart and not a matrialstic King.
Many people says good bout him and still Studying bout him.

One conspiracy theory that our principal told about royal massacre was " Before some months of this massacre prince parash went to a bar with his friends for enjoyment and he drank a lot of alcohol there. He was drunk and climb on the stage where a lady dancer was dancing and prince parash hug that lady in the bar.
After the program driver of parash told him that prince parash did wrong he shouldn't hug a stranger like that.....after the driver said that to prince the driver was killed ( don't know who killed )
After prince parash return the palace all royal member knew about the incident at bar and royal family gather in a room to discuss about the incident at bar.......
At that discussion prince dipendra scold parash and made him angry....
    After that prince parash replied dipendra " खुब हुनेवाला राजा भएर कराको होलास हेरौंला म पनि कसरी राजा बन्दो रछस्"
And after some months the royal massacre happened....

Regarding billiard hall: I went in Narayan hitti almost a decade back, they demolished everything linked with massacre and destructed the gardens. And there were signs 🪧 on sticks saying that queens body was found here, nirajan’s body was found here.
It’s sad 😞 and breaks my heart to even think about this.
In our lifetime, we have seen only Birendra’s family as royals… they were all nice…. Not sure if all monarchs before Birendra were same way. Never had that feeling for gayendra when he became king.

I dont know if Dipendra killed it or not but clearly when the massacre happened there were many helicopters riding back and forth from the palace. Also many helpers and guards were found missing and is said it was there body which was been transferred .
Also I remember very clearly that anybody blaming paras or would try to tell the truth were kidnapped and killed or many people i know were put in jail because they blamed Gyanendra .
Btw “GARDEN OF DREAMS” which was a palace took 6 years to renovate and maintain the park before it was opened for public. And the gardener who is still working there confirmed that inside the park was unmaintained forest and while they were trying to renovate the place, they found lots of human skeletons buried under the ground. It is sad how power and money can make people do such sinful things . This has been going on for ages .

Thinking about it used to make me very sad. But if we look at the history there are numerous cases like this. The assasination of John F.K, murder of Robert F.K and mysterious accident of Princess Diana.
One of the another heartbreaking massacre is the execution of Russian Imperial Romanov family (Nicholas II of Russia in 1918 AD. I think that would be interesting for people.

Dipendra's whole family was killed. Yes. But nothing happened to the whole family of Paras. Why did Dipendra leave Paras instead of telling me to leave him? And why did he kill his mother and brother? There are many questions. But Paras has a hand in this Rajdarwar murder case. If not, why is their whole family hiding until today?

Interesting: As per my father, he was in engineering platoon of Nepal Army and back then American Army was in Nepal for the construction of Hospital at Bhaktapur area. The following day after the royal massacre Americans were gone before the sun rise without even finishing the construction. My father also told that they were happy and delighted and said their task is fulfilled before their departure. My father only knew about the massacre after the news was flash in Radio Nepal. Is this a coincidence?????

One interesting conspiracy theory is that:
Gyanendra became king in 1950 to 1951 when he was child. But he was not the eldest son of king so he wont be able to become a king. As he knew the luxurious life of being king, he did Durbar hatyakanda to become a king. The strong point of this theory could be aliveness of parash Shah though he was in Durbar and the absence of gyanendra in the Durbar at the time of Hatya kanda as it is said he had gone to Pokhara.
All we can say is its a complicated massacre.

A lot of people that worked for the palace disappeared all of a sudden during this incident. Dipendra was framed, from a source I heard, there were tons of people with face mask similar to Dipendra during that time. Many of my friends' grandfathers disappeared who worked for the palace. This was preplanned by India & USA. From what I heard, King Birendra was close to Prince of Japan, & a lot of projects were about to happen with collaboration with Japan. But, India was against it, and this is what happened. India has always been jealous of Nepal & Nepal was the last Hindu nation led by a Hindu King which was not acceptable by Hindustan (India). Dipendra didn't do nothing of that I'm sure.

I always felt like it was our Indian Gov't who did this to Nepal. Unlike other countries, India never has decolonized from British rule. Till today Indians who were beaten by British to speak our langauge and celebrate our culture have the inferiority complex . Current generation has it most than anyone. It's obvious that the Gov't hated seeing someone following everything that the British hated. Till 1960s Indians intelligence used to provide information to British even after Independence. I'm sorry if my govt of that time a Colonial stooge did take part in destruction of Royal family and trying to destroy Nepal
