I'm okay with XLE, so much safety features, 8 way power driver seat, sunroof, power adjustable height lift gate, Smart key push button start, dual Automatic climate control, heated steering wheel. Good enough for city very fuel efficient. Powerful with 203 horsepower and an 8 speed automatic transmission. The best in the segment. The best selling sub compact SUV in the world.
I bought a 2020 Rav-4 XLE AWD and I love it!! Very similar to this model but it has the leather wrapped steering wheel and multi terrain select. Heated front seats but not leather. (That was the next trim level up and about $7,000 more) it does very well in the snow and I've been averaging 30 mpg. I've had it for seven months now. I paid $31,000 for it.
Yeah, that's one thing that's a downer about the XLE trim nowadays. With my '16 Camry XLE, I have leather, so now it's crazy to see that XLE now has downgraded to cloth and that in order to get leather (or now synthetic leather/SofTex as Toyota calls it), you need to go XLE Premium or higher. I'm actually getting one of these relatively soon but in the XLE Premium trim and hopefully in this same red/Ruby Flare Pearl color. Aside from the weather package that I've seen all of the ones that come to my state's dealers come shipped with (so heated seats (as well as heated + ventilated seats if you go Limited), heated steering wheel, and other things like the rain-sensing and deicing wipers), I'm also going to try to find one that at least has the upgraded audio system of which Toyota simply calls Audio Plus to get not only a bigger 8" touchscreen but also HD radio (which the standard 7" unit does not have) and the 11 speaker JBL setup.
I've driven this and I am a huge fan. My only gripe is the fuel capacity... My Nissan Altima has an 18 gallon tank. I can go almost 600 highway miles on a tank. Only about 350-400 in the Rav4.
I love the exterior design! Honda CRV has competition now. Not a huge fan of the infotainment screen and they need to add Android Auto. Overall, I'd say Toyota is on its way to a big seller with a few future tweeks.

Ok so last week I bought the 2019 Rav 4 XLE same color as this one and overall we like it. I do have a few things I don’t like about it. First of all the AC knobs look just like radio knobs on most other cars. The touchscreen is cheesy and sticks up above the dash rather than being built into the dash. Again we really like how it handles and looks I wish I had the money for the better model with power everything like the 2008 we traded in.
Informative review! Test drove one engine rev too high maybe I was in sport mode. Interior door handle too far forward takes two attempts to close the door from the inside. Over priced so we have to wait for the fictional discount and low apr. looks great. Very nice ride, but I would need to get the top trim, or the Adventure. Would probably wait a year of two then get a Certified, gently used top trim or Adventure trim. I've been reviewing alot of these crossovers and always come back to the Rav.

its a good car i gave a test drive, but it doesn't have Android Auto, no power seat for passenger side. You need to add convenience package to get power seat to driver seat, heated seats and power tail gate in XLE
The first thing I would do with mine would be to visit a body shop and have then paint those black areas on and in front of the hatch. And let me be the first to suggest that Toyota drop the black plastic around the wheel wells as well as along the bottom. It gives the car a cheap, chitzy look. Honda greatly improved the looks of the Element when they took off all that plastic cladding.
Can someone in-the-know tell me what other interior fabric colors are available on XLE, specifically on the Blueprint color? Is there a nice grey/charcoal color perhaps?
