My favorite but until they win title I just can't put them ahead of Green/Tatum. Joker/Murray. LaBron/AD. So IMO I got em as 4th best duo based on last few years.
But we are ranking duo, Luka was injured and Irving was a no show in the Boston games in Beantown. Plus on the D side Green/Tatum are better than Luka/Irving.

LuKai is by faaaaar the best duo, and it ain't even close. Best Passing scoring duo by stats alone look it up LuKai accounted for 105 ppg combined scoring and passing, an alien stat compared to Jokic Murray who were second with 87 points combined from assists and scoring. Advance clutch and super clutch Dallas is also 1 by aaaalooot!!! The eye test is also a pass because there is no other team with two superstars that both have the deepest bag in the league, two guys that have no limits with what they can do with the ball!!!! Brady and Mahommes on the same team if it was 🏈😮 They are #1 no question in my book!!! 💙 💙 💙 💙

I think they are so deep with great young talent. The best “under 25” team in the nba. I think the records of some of these western conference teams at the trade deadline will surprise everyone. The playoffs are different but the first 50 games I think Memphis could be 35-15. Everyone is sleeping on them.
As much as I'd like to say yes, until they win a championship I have to say no. Neither played well in Celtics finals. So here are my top 8 duos based on last 3 years. #1 Green & Tatum. #2 LaBron and AD. #3. Joker and Muray. #4. Luka and Irving. #5 Curry and Green. #6. Durant and Booker. #7. ANT and KAT. #8 Greek and Dame.#9 Fox and Sabonis. #10 Leonard and Hardin. IMO. All great great player duos.

He avg the same numbers as Brown in those Finals. Celtics had a deeper TEAM!!! Kyrie didn't hide when dropping the most points in a game of those Finals in game 3.
Tatum who plays like a 4th option had the worse shooting percentage of a finals winner. 😂

Who would be the same with triple teams coming his way in the paint while having to rely on DJJ and PJ to drain 3s. He should've avg 9 assist a games if it weren't for bricks. Kyrie's game is the midrange not the 3ball which was what the Celtics forced him to do which isn't reliable basketball to get into rhythm. Luka was also hobbled and was horrible from 3 because of it.

Kyrie being a great 3pt shooter doesn't mean that is his game at the end of the day. He attempts at most 5-7 attempts a game and most of those are from passes not him just opting for it. His game is the midrange.
Nick usually has a better list than Isaac, but this one is awful!
I think the 3rd option is as important as the duo. Since every contender has a "star duo", they can end up cancelling each other out in a playoff series. Boston had 3 different players they could cycle in as a #3 in Holiday, KP & White, and that was the huge advantage they had over the rest of the league... not their duo.
The hard part now is finding a player who is good enough to be in a duo, but is willing to take a 3rd option role & salary... That's why getting Klay at his salary was an absolute HUGE win and will probably be the best move of the entire off-season.
The star duo that matters is Isaac and Nick

Tatum and Brown as the best duo in the NBA is literally the stupidest thing I've heard on this channel. T/B - 50/14/9.....L/K - 60/14/15. Better defensive duo, but not even close offensively. when it mattered, their stats dropped to 44/13/12. Even with an injured Luka, he and Kyrie had 49/12/11.
"Boston won" is a re tarded reason for claiming 2 of their players are the best duo. Yeah, their win didn't have anything to do with White/Holiday/Horford/KP. So stupid.....

@@undiscoveredstars1002 Funny, neither of them could even slow Luka down. Tatum is good at guarding big men, but who's the last elite guard he shut down? Holiday took Irving exclusively. They never even thought about putting Brown on him. People talk about defense like it's something everyone knows it's true, when the truth is it can't be quantified and although someone like Holiday is considered an elite defender (and White), Brown and Tatum are hard working defenders who have mixed success depending on who they're guarding.
Meanwhile, offensively they aren't close.

@@bakedizzle24 The Celtics had a way deeper team and Luka was suffering from a knee injury and he still averaged 29/9/6. Tatum averaged 22/8/7, Brown only averaged 20/5/5. Even gimpy Luka is better than both of them and you can bring up defense but Luka was playing basically on 1 leg. That's fine if you want to say the Celtics had the better team, because they did, but Tatum/Brown are not better than Luka/Kyrie.

Tatum/Brown are not better than Luka/Kyrie because they won the Finals, the argument is absurd. Luka was injured and the Celtics had a deeper team, that's why the Celtics won. Luka still put up better numbers than Tatum or Brown.
