Did you see on the news all those poor people in Texas lost their food in fridge and freezer after 4 days no power? Awful, always good to have canned stockpile.

From your inspiration I just harvested 2 tomatoes I grew in my apartment window! Thank you!
Also a jump from meat to vegan is a huge jump
If you really want to cut out meat perhaps start as vegetarian rather than full on vegan, maby cut out meat 1-2 days a week and transition slowly so as not to shock your body
    Anyway just a thought
Thanks again for all your inspiration and ideas:)

Can only share my own experience, not eating animal products is not a big jump at all if one loves animals and objects to the cruelties they suffer in order to produce meat, cares about one's health and the health of the environment. The very idea of consuming dead animals is something I find beyond disgusting. Started as a Vegetarian at the age of seven, seven decades later I eat whole foods plant based where possible/affordable. And, it costs a lot less than the standard American Diet with all the processed foods full of chemicals.

I would add mushrooms and 5oz can of chicken n maybe can of peas to the knorr. That would be at least 3 meals for me!!! Or if got a little more money add a can of tiny shrimp instead of chicken

I’ve been putting dates on my food. I think this will help if the electricity goes out. Also we should not open the door. I have a small freezer and I do the same. It is a worry.

Dont let people talk you out of goin either. And because of you i did go get walmart gv teas to drink at nite when i want a hot drink instead of coffee!!!! I am a 73 yr old woman. Im gonna make that fry bread yet and peanut butter.

The most nutrient dense food on the planet is beef and beef liver. Senior women need around 1,500 calories a day, or 1,200 if desiring to lose weight. The problem with vegetable meals is inadequate daily calories and lack of fat, which is necessary for energy and nutrient value. I'm a fan of buying large fatty roasts when on sale and dicing the meat into 6-7 oz portions for freezing. I don't care for liver, so I take four grass-fed desiccated beef liver capsules once or twice a week. I also eat four eggs daily for the cholesterol. The brain is made of cholesterol, and after demonizing cholesterol for four decades, it shouldn't surprise anyone that all forms of dementias became epidemics. Egg cholesterol is necessary for brain health. Animal fat, butter and lard, are also necessary and nutrient dense for seniors.

This is the worst possible advice you could ever give to seniors - who are all at risk of cardiovascular disease simply because of their age. 70% of people over the age of 70 will develop cardiovascular disease - and the prevalence of this increases as seniors move into their 80s.
