Believe it or not the most powerful moment in this scene for me is when Daniel comes out and Johnny and Chozen are there to to stand by his side.
Yep him and Johnnys rivalry grew into a friendship

Who didn't tear up ? a very powerful moment when Daniel realised that he had Amanda and his daughter Sam to help. His friends and former enemies Johnny and Chozen plus their combined students to give him the help the support that Daniel needed after he was assaulted by Terry Silver.
From a kid being bullied in 1982 and had to learn karate to defend himself, to a martial art master respected and supported by his former rivals, his students and family in 2022. The legacy that Mr Miyagi has given to Daniel's life is touching

Walking into that room, you can just feel Mr. Miyagi’s presence and the history of Miyagi-Do. Such a powerful scene.

This is such an epic moment in the series for Daniel going into Miyagi's room was really awesome plus knowing his stuff was left just like he left it untouched a classic moment. 👏🏿

It was almost like they kinda hid this all from Ralph for a long time and decided to throw it all at him in one giant nostalgic memory. Great moment!
I don't think they hid anything. Daniel himself said "I don't GO in there". The use of tense is what gives it away; simple present. It means that in general Daniel doesn't go in that room. He has been avoiding it for years, maybe out of respect, but mainly out of fear. And at this time he doesn't feel ready to face life and the events that have unfolded. Going into that room and having Amanda tell him all we hear in this scene means one thing. Daniel is about to go to the next chapter. Remember how he would go to mr Miyagi's grave, talk to him and wish he still had him to ask for advice? Well, now Daniel is obligated to sort of become mr Miyagi. This is something that happens in life. When we don't have our parents and teachers anymore, there will be a time that we will need to become that parent or teacher. When there is no path in front of us, we make our own.
I have watch this over 10 times because when Daniel walks into Mr. Miyagi's room with his theme music playing from the original movie was really touching, thank you writers for sharing that special moment with the fans of the show well done!👏🏿👏🏿

This would’ve been a great time for Julie to turn up. She’d tell Daniel what Miyagi told her about fighting. “Fighting not good but if must fight…win”. Those motivating words then brings back the moment Miyagi told him “must not give into fear”.

Not as if, he actually can. Sometimes you can see, hear or feel things that others cannot, because you know the way to perceive them.

When they did this scene...I could here all 3 karate kid movies but all the advice ..like I can hear him saying Daniel san..this not tournament...this for real. Or Daniel San...you stay focus...you must not fear...Daniel san...your best karate..still inside...now time let out
That moment was so epic it made me share tears the first time I saw that movie Mr. Miyagi still believed in Daniel even though Daniel didn't believe in himself at that moment and then Danielson beats Mike Barnes to becomes a two time All Valley Karate tournament champion.
@@tamaku2903 because Barnes kept countering Daniel's moves and he couldn't hurt Barnes..so Barnes tore him up outside and inside. And I love they honor Mr Miyagi by having Daniel beat silver with out a hit on em at the end.
In the year I saw the original Karate Kid in cinemas I lost my brother to a motorcycle accident and my parents split up, I wished I had a mr Miyagi in my life. Something about the way Daniel enters into Miyagi's room and hearing the classic music rushed me back to that year and those memories. I won't lie, I was sobbing like I havn't in years.
Such a great scene my god these writers know and understand how important Mr Miyagi is was and all ways will be. Pity there was not a photo of Daniel and Miyagi.

I Nelly Cried My Eyes Out Before Watching This Daniel Loves Everything About mr. Miyagi and Even How The Students as Well and Chozen and Johnny They Both Put The Smile 😀 On People's Faces When Daniel Sees a Spot Light he Will Put a Win
This season is so satisfying. Miyagi-Fang reform, Robby comes back, Hawk continues to be the best Larusso ally other than Chozen, Chozen in general, Mike Barnes, Anthony gets protected by Sam, Robby and Hawk. So perfect.
Dead and gone, yet Mr Miyagi still leaves his influence on those whose lives he touched.
Fictional character or not, there is a reason that those of us who grew up with Karate Kid consider him our Sensei.
There is a Mr Miyagi for everyone. A parent, a teacher, an older sibling, you name it. And eventually we are called to become mr Miyagi for someone else.
I like how Mrs. Miyagi's photo is still there in memory, even though she died in 1944.

I agree we can't have the real Mr Miyagi so it was awesome that they gave us his room I was just like Daniel looking around in that room it bought me back to when I was a little kid watching The Karate Kid for the first time then all the other movies that followed plus Miyagi theme music in the background made it that more special.

@@dennisardakis5857 They're both right and they're both wrong. Daniel's arrogance and obsession with living up to Mr. Miyagi has blinded him to the fact that there are merits and advantages to studying other styles. While he is right that there is more to life than just winning, he takes even this simple lesson too far (to the extent that he tells Sam that the way in which she beat Piper was 'incorrect"). Robbie is completely right in saying that different styles should be studied so as to identify what works best. However his motivation for doing so and his 'win at all costs mentality' means that he is approaching martial arts from a place of anger and hate rather than a genuine desire to learn and improve himself (unlike in earlier seasons, before what happened with Miguel). As a result, he ends up passing on some his anger and hate to Kenny, moulding him into a bully without even meaning to.

The icing on the cake would have been if they put that classic music that played during certain Mr. Miyagi scenes in the original movies

One of the most cynematic and epic scene of season 5
After seeing what Kreese went thru in prison, it would be a cool breakthrough moment if Mr. Miyagi shows up for Daniel in his dreams.
I enjoy this show and some of these tearjerker scenes(Kumiko reading Danial the last letter was full blow waterworks time) but I utterly refuse to believe that Mr. Miyagi still has that "paint the house" note all these years later and it was just laying out on his desk like that.
I like this part, because this is also a turning point in the marriage between Daniel and Amanda. In the previous seasons she was first upset with him about his vendetta towards Cobra Kai/Kreese. After realising that Kreese is a jerk she allows/tolerates Daniëls attitude towards Cobra Kai (without knowing Daniëls true motives), in the importance of Demetri (after Hawk broke his arm and Sam dealing with Tory). But this case is different because she has understanding of Daniëls side and why its personal for him. Acknowledging her full support towards Daniël after this scene, and bow towards him is a game changer in their marriage afterwards. Because you seee from that point on she gives him full support in Fighting Cobra Kai from that point in comparison to the past when Daniel fights Cobra Kai. I'm really curious how this will work out between Daniël and Amanda out in S6 when they have to face Cobra Kai again
This may not be acting by Ralph, he had to be emotional and you wonder if that is where Miyagi died.

This moment is a bit of a plot hole because Hawk and the other Cobra Kais trashed this dojo back in season 2. They stole the medal of honor, sprayed on the cars, dumped toilet paper everywhere but this room was left untouched??

I kinda wish the line was “I can’t go in there” bc the “I don’t” makes it feel like it’s outta only respect but it should’ve been from respect AND it being too hard on Daniel to step foot into Mr. Miyagi’s room but that’s just me and I feel like it would’ve put even more emotional weight for HARD CORE Karate Kid fans
Sometimes words have a deeper meaning. By using present simple tense and saying "I don't go" he means that it's a regular thing. He has been avoiding that room not only out of respect, but because he feels like he isn't ready yet to go to the next chapter of his life. Daniel had been dependant on mr Miyagi. Now, the fact he entered the room and listened to Amanda initiates a new Daniel; the teacher.

The roots are strong so the tree will survive.
Most trees, flowers or plants can survive in a petrified state if cut & kept correctly.
For example, I have four year old hydrangeas that I cut perfectly finally that still have their leaves & I don’t water them at all, I just like the way they look in a glass urn.

Don't get me wrong I really love Daniel but this show should never kept his story in the centre.Believe it or not the very first reason to falen love with this masterpiece is Johny Lawrence. I feel like there is an incredibly rich amount of possibilities for him but they make him a side character on his own show.Daniel vs Terry should be there but as a sub plot.They can even make Daniel a mentor again who will help Robby and be a father in law to Miguel eventually beat his demons and help Johny too.Please I beg to cobra kai writers you have the diamond in your hands that is Johny Lawrence. Don't waste him for our Gold Daniel Larusso.
