Thank you so much!!! Im colorblind, so I was not able to see the fuse was bad!!!! Cycling the switch and listening for the sound saved me hundreds of dollars!!!
Hi Danny, if you are ever in the Orange County, CA area and want a free set of Gen 2 Rockslide Engineering Step Slider skid plates for a JL Wrangler, I have some that are taking up space in my storage unit in Anaheim.
I love the steps when they work, but I'm tired of the motors sounding so weak and the step only going half way up. I'm using a Dupont Teflon Dry lube and it seems like it never lasts long.
The Generation 3 step has improved in design. I think the weak link in the Gen 2 performance was the strut used to assist the lifting and lowering of the step. The strut has now been replaced with a spring design in the Gen 3.
@@darrenroos6408 I have the Gen 3 steps and I'm here because one side was stuck down. I was able to get it to retract after I shut the door and after a few times of resetting it finally worked. it was just clicking even with the swtich off but I think it's working properly for now.

I am glad that helped. The sound of the motor helps me trouble shoot a lot of times
This really helped me figure out my problem. It ended up being the magnet had moved. Thanks for posting this.
Saved me frustration. Thanks

Same here! I like them too, but they have progressively gotten worse always halfway up!
