  • Malham Landscape Trail is a wonderful walk in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It takes in the towering cliff of Malham Cove, the impressive Gordale Scar and the delightful waterfall at Janet's Foss. Malham Cove was also a filming location for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1!

    I didn’t really understand how immense these places were until I saw people hiking along the rocks and paths. Breathtaking!

    Mary this area is just stunning and the reason I can say this is the superb way it was filmed.
    Malham cove (especially the top part) looks surreal and the music was expertly chosen to make it feel even more so.
    The rest of the journey was enchanting and beautiful, an amazingly rich place to visit.
    Wonderful choice to share with us, thanks a million. 🙏🏻🥰

    Wow! That Limestone Path was interesting! Tiny micro climates between the rocks! Cool! I hope this area is somehow *protected*. I looks like Nature's Cobblestone! I get the feeling it's not easy to walk over! I had no idea such a place existed! And just an all around amazing video! Thank you, again!

      Fascinating area for sure! No it wasn't easy to walk over - especially as I was recovering from a sprained ankle 😳 It was worth it though!

    Don't worry Mary you are doing Malham cove justice..
    it was 1957 when father brought me up to the top. (My brother was 2 yrs old)
    The camera work is spot on. The curve in the wall of gorge is so inviting. Thankyou once again
    kind regards from David marooned in the Waikato region of New Zealand. Youve fair got me "chomping at the bit," to return to my homelands😊

    One of your best films Mary, the Dales are a world of their own and you showed Malham/Gordale to great effect. The waterfall at Malham actually re-appeared a few years back, and there are a number of films of it on RUclips that are well worth a look.

    Another excellent video Mary, you certainly looked in your element there, I hope you and Derek did not slip and fall on the wet limestone pavement when it was wet as it can be very slippy when wet.

    Nice, but did you know there's a route that you can take which involves climbing up the waterfall (Gordale Scar) and across the hilltops to malham cove? Its an amazing walk and i definitely recommend it

      Yes I knew about that and it looked amazing - I was still recovering from a mild ankle injury that week though so decided to stay on the safe side!

    Another great video. I know this area well and you really did it justice. You can climb up the waterfall at Gordale and head to Malham Tarn which is a great walk. If the weather is better Janet's Foss is a popular wild swimming spot.

      @MarysOutdoorAdventures  2 года назад

      That is great to hear! Yes I would have loved to climb up Gordale Scar but I was recovering from a sprained ankle so decided against it 😂 I was tempted though - but it'll still be there another day!

    A magical time among the clints and grykes as well as the nearby environs. I wonder if Jennet was at home that day and just remains well hidden.
