Ugh, now I need to sell my Mooney….. I miss these days when kitplanes were the bleeding edge of technology. Now everyone is making back country STOL aircraft. I live in the Midwest. Nothing is close to here, so we need fast aircraft! These fast glass planes were so awesome. Maybe Dark Aero will be the new Lancair.
RED: one day Lance Neibauer sat down with me at the cafe shop in Santa Paula airport and asked me „what color should I paint the new 320?“ I said: „if you wanna hit the cover of every aviation magazine, make it RED? Lance did not like the idea due to UV and temperature concerns. I said: „the proof is the wooden RED GP4 of George Pereira. George made it on every front page!“ A few weeks later the prototype was painted RED 🥂😍🤩😎🚀

The BLUE winged 235 wirh a O290 engine is Don Goetz‘s airplane. It was the first production plane finished.
