Hi Chris, I am just completing my 360 fast build kit that was purchased 4 years ago with most of the major fabrication completed. I purchased a Baluga modification and installed it on the fuselage. I hope you understand how much work you have ahead of you. I suggest you begin a procedure that will allow working on multiple projects in the same time period. For example, wings, control surfaces, and fuselage components. You should be working on all of these components at the same time otherwise building will take forever. In addition, prepping finish components for paint also takes a lot of time. Also, figure out exactly how your antennas, major components of your navigation system will be located and installed. You should know where it all will be located. I would also consider building the backrest of the seat assembly to be removable to make it easier to work in the area behind the seat. Install your landing gear pump behind your seat and not behind the bulkhead behind the luggage space.. I also did not install the header tank in the cockpit instead main tank was enlarged to a max capacity 40 gals. Your videos are outstanding, please continue. The major fun to me about building a complex airplane is to research how other smart builders have solved many of the very complex issues building this airplane. The Dark aero project is also using the same engine you are planning to use but non turbo. You are making the airplane a lot more complicated with this choice. Is your project an R&D project or a build project? Turbo mods on 360's have just not been successful. I would definitely spend a great deal of time researching about how you are engineering the complex issues of turbos and intercooling.

Hello : I am building a Lancair 360 Mk II kit. I have the Underwood Beluga fuselage mods, long wingtips, Zavatson landing gear doors, TK-5 shocks, etc. I am seriously considering the UL 520iS-T for my plane. Would like to share with everybody my progress. I haven't been able to rejoin the LancairTalk Forums, thought this would be the best way to stay in touch with the Lancair community.

How is the support from Lancair? I am building a Glastar and the is almost no support anymore from Glasair!

The Lancair lacks a modern and safe airfoil. The NLF 215 is not suitable! The australian horizontal stabilizer is still much to small. Reed Harry Ribletts book for airfoils!
