What a nice guy. I have no idea how some people can criticize him for anything. He gave the young guy a ride for free just to help out a fellow aviator. That is what being an aviator and a good person is all about. He explained a bit of the differences between flying a slower piston versus a faster turboprop. Thats something that most people would want to know if they were flying in an upgraded plane such as the Lancair. I think they are a lot of bitter, jealous, wanna be pilots in the world. Who have they helped out lately other than themselves. Thank you Craig for being who you are.
Was it because of the crash? I haven’t seen any criticisms in the comments?
The sound of the engine start up is my new ringtone.
Wow this is really great. Congrats on your IFR. Can't wait to see the new paint on 80991
That's Pretty cool. Pilots look out for each other. I've trying to get back to flying but something always comes and I have to put it in the back burner. Someday my friends. Am happy for all you guys and gals who fly be it for Fun or Business I am proud of ALL of you. I'll keep in touch via You Tube when you all post your videos. Keep them coming and Thanks. Enjoy the skies and fly Safe!!!!!!!
Imagine the amount of right rudder needed in that beast. Straight torque monster.
I love your channel! I also liked the part about pilots taking care of pilots. I am a low time single engine air (who hasn't flown in a long time) pilot. My dad, who used to strap me in the back seat of his T-34A as a child, used to say the same thing. In aviation, it's not what you know that makes it fun, it's who you know. He would also point out that at any airshow, with 1000's of people attending, you never see trash on the ground. The general aviation community is of a different breed. Keep up the great "work"! I love your channel and hope to get back in the air soon.
Wow - what an exciting ride to get you to the "reunion". It is really great of the flying fraternity to help one another out like that. And in such style!. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
what a awesome flight. I am glad that you posted this video. It almost makes you feel like being there in the right seat.
It reminds me of when I was a young pilot and the nice guys that helped me discover the love of flying
Super enjoyed this video, what a sweet flight! Thank you, Josh and Craig!
What a cool ride. Pretty awesome of him to take you there. I've always wanted a Lancair...maybe when I grow up.
"Just 5 knots above my cruise speed" HAHA
That Lancair Evo is a Mean Machine!!! Enjoy your videos MrAviation101....keep em coming!
Great video thanks dude. That turboprop is a beast. Very cool of your friend to fly you. Aviatin brotherhood right there.
Get some gear in; I'm diggin' it.
I want this plane so bad. Beautiful.
What a proud. Loved the intro of the aircraft and of the PIC prospective.
beautifull video of cessna skyhawk
Congratulations to all videos
awesome
good continuation
tahnk you very much.
Green with envy. The lancair (any lancair) is my favouite plane, my dream plane. Green Green green lol
Great video as always, Craig seems like a cool dude, he is funny while he is talking his way thru everything "GirlFriend" :) Great job on the IR.
When you’re out of gas, you’re out of gas! It doesn’t matter if it is a recip or a turbine.
Thank you for posting this fab video.
Awesome one as always, super impressive plane!
Hah He has a CD player! that proves its home built!
All that open space on the panel makes me sad 😉
I liked his "talk-thru's" on everything he was doing.
What a nice plane...also liked the engine sound!
I'm always happy when I get the notification that a new MrAviation101 video is up! :)
Also: Many congrats on your IR!! ;)
Excellent video! Aircraft is beautiful!
Damn, that start up noise.... makes me feel butterflies in my stomach :D. The Lancair is an epic machine indeed! Thanks for sharing :)
I want this
Love the Garret 331. It's the "most efficient engine to convert JetA to noise" Speed and powerful too!!
that is such a sweet ride! She's got some power holy crap!
So cool man! Love it! Can't wait to see N80991!
i read the private pilot blueprint and omg am i impressed. im 15 and really looking forward into avaition and aslo for a career. this book is detailed and got me what i needed. but there is only one thing holding me in my way. i live in the UK, Wales to be exact and there arent many good flying clubs around. my friend wants to move to california when hes older to become a game designer which he already has been doing. and we were talking about both going over there becuase the flying lessons are so much cheaper. also love the videos, been a sub here from the start and enjoyed every minute of them. keep up the good work. and have fun in the newly painted C172.
The lancair IV turboprop is a true beast, that one is nicely finished inside, just don't ever stall her. ever
Why? I'm learning to fly and hope to afford a Pipistrel Panthera someday.
THIS IS #MAGA COUNTRY probably has bad stall characteristics that make it more prone to spinning.
For a second I was like why did you say the MAGA part but then I realized it was the other guy's username XD
@@thisismagacountry1318 I believe lancairs are known to be hard to get out of a spin. There is a retired airforce guy on youtube with a lancair... 360? And basically said do not stall the aircraft, because its very difficult to recover.
I dont know specifically if that would be the case for a lancair IVP.
Great video Josh! I'm gonna get a ride with Craig too! Now I'm really excited.
I've been to Mena to get a couple of planes repainted for our company. Pretty cool watching them work. Took forever though.
Beautiful flight!
That hand behind Josh's head at 2:23 freaked me out until they acknowledged someone back there lol.
Love the videos. Can't wait to see 991
Beautiful aircraft, great video!
love that engine sound
just listen to that startup.. sounds soo good :D
thrust = Jet
Power = Turboprop
Those are two very different principles.
Nice video and cool airplane!
You don't know what you are talking about. Thanks for telling us.
That is some approach speed. Damn!
Yo cool to see someone flying out of my home town!
Thank for showing the new paint.....
Looks nice!
Oooooh check out that Pilatus at 1:00 nice can't wait till your posting videos of you flying a nice turbo prop like that
Nice Video of the Lancair flight from Texas to Arkansas.
991 looks great with the new paint..... but that Lancair gave me wood..... damn that is a sweet ride ....
thats awesome. great guy too
I want to buy a turboprop just because I love the sound they make on start up!
Again, Thank you.
Good man that Pilot..
Side control sticks....THANK YOU!
man when I saw your video I was hoping it was N38SP which flies out of my local field 5C1, still a beautiful aircraft and flight.
I love this video.
Now that was fun to watch, almost better than hearing girls do that eeeek noise when in a deliberate stall. Keep em coming Josh.
Awesome video!
Looked fun!! Nice :D
Man, that's a cool ride.
Friggin sweet airplane
Very nice airplane and flying.
A very kind fellow pilot.
That was very very cool.
Hey Josh just wait till you take a turbo-prop at night. You can see a white flame coming out of the exhaust pipes. It's very cool. I got the privilege of getting to see that in flight just a few nights ago. I the it's very peaceful as well.
How do you make a small fortune in aviation?
Start with a large one!
Start with a big fortune.
Start with a really big one, or you can spend 75% of your capital on advertisement and about 15% on the product. Then you stand half a chance
Josh Davies start with a large one🤣
Josh Davies it gets worse with race cars😳
smuggle weed
I am interested actually in turbo props. hopefully after my bachelors in commercial aviation I can afford an Extra 500. i used to fly piston xl2's and a 172 once. but i never finished my private pilot license.
Man, the gum look good !
Is that the Evolution? Pretty sweet! Air conditioner pressurized cabin is such a luxury! Cabin looks a little cozier that I thought it would.
great video!
excelent!
really enjoyed it. :)
That is a sweet sled ... for sure.
I "flew" a Lancair IV-P (350 HP turbocharged and pressurized) around the world once via Microsoft Flight Simulator. It was an absolute delight. MSFS is amazingly accurate ; I "flew" a Cessna 172 at my home airport and it was scarily lifelike, right down to the clatter of the 4-cylinder engine and the sloppy controls. So I assume the Lancair was as realistic.
I got 300 MPH at FL 230 (say 23,000 feet) on 18 gallons per hour, which is amazingly efficient. The downside is that the aircraft flies like a fighter and takes some finesse to operate.
I've always wanted to own a real IV-P --- but it's $400,00+!
I've seen some used piston ones under $200,000. Still a big chunk of cash!
What a nice guy!
can't wait to get my license! !!
Man, that is an incredible airplane. I'd take the piston version but I can't even afford that. lol
2:24 magical hand reaching from the depths of the passenger cabin 😂🤔
I had mention Ram's horn yokes vs. stick in one of your other videos. If I had to have stick, I would have to have the side mounted version, as seen in this awesome turboprop you are flying in! Actually saw an awesome RV10 4-place recently, that has the side stick option, like the one seen in this video or like the Cirrus a/c. Problem is...the RV10 is a low wing, lol!:) One of the main reasons I lve to fly, is the footage at 5:17 thru 5:23!
That was fun!
I myself had the distinct honor of joining Craig in the seat of honor from KGTU to KERV and back. I would describe, using all of my abilities as an English major, writer, and aviation passionate, his plane as :"Orgasmic" :-D
Very Cool!
AWESOME COMMUNITY SUPPORT!
Lets have more of Craig in your videos. Very lively guy.
That turbo engine sound during start up though
I have built and racers cars my whole life and all I want is my own kit plane now🤩
Heeeey!!!!! make more videos of that plane really nice plane i see.
I fly Aquila A210/211 also have winglets hahahha :)
That landing was quite speedy indeed...
my wife's cuz from Ocala FL has a 'wing leveler' which he said did about the same as an autopilot.
Gr8 video! Really love the Lancer. But I want to see 80991s paint! Really bad!
Show confidence with body language. Presentation is everything.
Thank you for sharing! We are currently developing a Twin, Ducted Fan, Hybrid High-Wing GA Aircraft. We decided high-wing, because of the superior view that high wings provide to our all important Passengers. The design has the wings set back far enough for better view from base to final. Also included are two exterior mounted cameras for increased visibility to the PIC. Our ducted fan design will provide a more quiet experience, with minimal cabin vibration. We are expecting to reduce the fuel burn from an average twin by up to 50% or better. Picture a GA A/C the size of a C-182. Keep up the great work!
AEROMAGNUM TV
You sound like you’re describing an electric radio controlled airplane
What engine were you planning to power that EDF with?
Unless you meant turbofan engines? And the engines under the wings
Interesting concept, how far along are you now? I see your comment is from a while back!

Pilatus PC-12 NG?
sweet!
You should fly to Olney, Tx and check out Air Tractor! They have an awesome facility and love to do tours! If you go you should stop by Starks Aviation and check out his gyrocopters, and tell Bob I say hi!
nice video !!!
That thing sounds like an F-16 firing up!
Lol yup
That noise-cancellation is amazing, but it would have been nice to hear the actual ambient noise in the cabin.
She's a rocketship!
Your driving in instead oh floating in!!
Hey Josh!
It would be so cool if you could capture your arrival from a ground camera when you're arriving in other types! 🛩
