I've not seen the movie. Who stars in it? BTW if you like military urbex, why not check out my playlist which included busting into a Chinese Airforce Radar Base, and investigating an abandoned Chinese Submarine Base. The ship in question is of the yuanwang class or "Longview". They're military intelligence ships. There are 7 ships in the class. The ship there is the yuanwang 1 and last i checked that ship is in active reserve. Meaning its a good thing you didn't go on because there would mostly be a few people on board.
Yes, you are right about the classification of the ship. I've been trying to figure out how to board her for a while now. There is no way that she is in active reserve though. She's falling to pieces, and there's definitely nobody aboard. She's small but beautiful.
@@burbex like i said the last time i checked she was listed as active reserve. But then again she is pretty outdated by now. If you're still looking to board her. Check along her starbroard (right) side. There should be 1 if not two service hatches towards the stern. They'll be located about 2 meters above the waterline. They'll take you straight to the engine room
She's dry docked, but there's still a fair amount of water under her. There is a ramp around the back the get entry, but security is pretty heavy around there.
@@burbex it might be possible to gain entry from the bow. You can either climb up the anchor chain taking you to the main deck if the release tube is large enough. Worst case scenario go at night dress in black and throw a line up to catch on a railing or something and climb up. Did that a few times checking out some abandoned ferries
Should some one tell this jerk what a Battleship is! The ship that he wants to go on is a Intelligence ship or a research ship. Battleships have 16” guns not antennas. Also if the Chinese Police arrested him. To bad!
Wow, you know a lot about ships. If you wanna put some more information in the comments, I'll gladly change the title and details. Less of the "jerk" and "getting arrested" next time though please.
You yourself self also wrong as Battleships dont just have 16 inch guns rather they have some 11 inch all the way to 18.1 inch and at times possibily higher with blueprints existing for 20.1 or high caliber guns.

The location of the spy ship
Jeeeee, I'm half way into the video now and I was thinking 'Corey, dude, pay attention where you are walking' and then.... 😂
The funny thing is that Corey is quite an accomplished free runner, but he was a bit out of practise.
This looks like the ship they used for that Virus movie, I think back in the 80's.

That's a great exploration from you. I know China have many history and this is one of them. Thanks for educating us. Do stay in touch.
If you liked this video, make sure to check out my latest videos where I'm exploring abandoned navy bases in Hainan, that place was a lot of fun!

They do legal tours of this ship and also the submarine in the adjacent dry dock
Yeah, that just started this year. It was empty for at least ten years
The only Battleships that still exist have 16” guns with the exception of USS Texas at 14” guns.
Dango...yeehaw...yo
Cool
Pretty damn cool place. I love watching UrbanEx video but have never done it. Need to. I am too curious!
Why don't you come to Shanghai, and I'll show you around a few interesting places.
Burbex sounds awesome! Once China gets a little more normal, I’ll take you up on that!
That looks like a seriously good time!
You know you can come along any time Jimmy
@@burbex I'd absolutely love to. This week my wife is in Hong Kong, so perhaps we can do something on Saturday?

Oh they know... of course they know. Cheeky buggers.
They know
why not try something that's "undiscovered" besides ruins
Can you give me some suggestions?
This is not a spy ship its a tracking relay ship for chinas space program.
And what do you think is the main priority of those satellites? It’s to check what people are eating for breakfast in America.
its not a battleship its a spy and space tracking ship
Yes, you're right. I think that might even make a better title for the video. Thanks for that.
Battle ship????

Cant wait till he gets to explore a chinese prison for 10 years.
I’ll vlog every day, the food, the prisoners, the beating and the rats. It’ll be great
