Hii good information. Is there any DVR Model with WIFI connection option as my wifi router is far and i cant bring LAN cable to DVR

Hi, I am not aware of a unit that has built-in WiFi. But why don’t you a buy a WiFi bridge, plug it to a socket next to the DVR and connect it to the bridge using ethernet cable? Your WiFi bridge can connect wirelessly to your main WiFi router.

Wanted to know what types of cables you used in SMPS for power?

Our installer supplied individual 18 AWG copper cables in black and red. Ideally you should get the cable as a pair so it’s easy to route to each camera.

Why did you not go for CAT6 lan cable based IP dvr and cameras Ganesh? I was also recently surveying a similar setup from Hikvision but a lan cable based IP digital technology one, which is the newer technology than this analog one and the cost too was lesser than what you paid.

Hi Dhiraj, based on our requirement, the vendor proposed the BNC cable based system. The CAT6 based system was more expensive and since we had these 5 MP based camera, the BNC based system was more than adequate. A higher resolution based system will require better bandwidth and the CAT6 system will come in handy.

Click on Settings > Event (from left side menus) > Normal Event > Motion Detection
Disable Audible Warning under Linkage Action.
