You obviously confused this with the 1st movement. The 3rd movement is played at this tempo. There are some classical pianists who reacted to this video and said that every note is correct and that she didn't make a mistake.
You may need to explain what a "Movement" is to this girl? Just Say'n.
@@randallhaney7909 Personally, I think that her cover of "For the Love of God" by Steve Vai is her best performance. It is highly recommended, especially because you can see how much emotion Tina S. can play with.
@@SlimNesbitt I was referring to Mz. (RayActions) The content creator for this RUclips channel needing Clarification On What a Movement is in classical musical terms.
She said she couldn't recognize the music as (Moonlight Sonata) when you I and most people know it was not only played correctly but flawlessly.
So that lead me to believe this creator didn't know the the difference between 3rd movement from the 1st...
As for emotion and Tina S. ?
It doesn't get more emotional than this..
Just Look at her.
total concentration.
No flash cloths;
Seated;
Flat black back drop;
Guitar has a blond neck for contrast to her hand.
No exaggerated facial expressions;
No huge & cool amp. stack showing;
It's all about correctly executing the music for her,
Not look at me I'm so cool..
Just the music .. Her smile at the end says it all.
That says a lot about out music hero's vs. true talent.
Just Say'n. says a lot about our music hero's vs. true talent.
Sorry for he long diatribe.
@@randallhaney7909she never said Tina made a mistake.
@@shspurs1342 And did I say she had ?
I don't think so.
In fact I didn't thing the word "Mistake" is anywhere in my comment?
I used Flawless to express accolades and to express the level precession that Tina S. executed plating this piece of music.
It's just the third movement. She's playing over a backing track, which Dr Viossy created. It's not cut. It's in real time.
She was 17 when she recorded this. After that, she was off the grid for several years, apparently while in college. Now she's in the band Spin Twice.
Damn she could have made it big but what a waste putting that time in college.
Hard to believe our culture is at this point where college is nothing but a money pit.
@@HalkerVeil Right? went to college for a degree and......isn't using that degree most likely in any way. 😂
@@HalkerVeilShe’s French. So, if she went to a public university, it wouldn’t cost much. Even if she went for a PhD, it’s only going to cost a few hundred euros per year. Private university is a whole different story. But, public uni in Europe is way cheaper since it’s subsidized by tax revenue.
And depending on what she got her degree in, it may still be useful, even if she decides to be a career musician. Or if her music career fails, it could still act as a fall-back.
Sadly, here in the US, it’s often a waste of money. I make more with a GED and never having set foot in a college classroom than most of my college graduate friends. I have family members with masters degrees who can’t find a job in their field because they either don’t have the openings they qualify for, or they’re “over-qualified” for positions they can find.
You don’t recognise it? The third movement of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata is iconic! Tina nails it.
1. It is not cut. 2. It is not sped up. 3. If you do not recognize it, it is because you don't know the 3rd Movement of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata
... That's what I wanted to write here .... She is saying "from the beginning" that she loves this piece of music but after a few mn she did'nt recognize the music !!! Lol, Lol, Lol ... What a shame, what a pity !!!
The moonlight sonata has 3 movements :
First is Adagio Sostenuto, relatively slow, around 65 BPM, and is the most famous.
The second movement is Allegretto. Around 100 BPM.
And the last and third movement, covered by Tina here, is: Presto Agitato. Around 175 BPM.
And Tina even sped it up.
No cuts, one take, not sped up. Yeah. She's freaking Rainman.
Sped-up and edited videos wouldn’t bring you 1.3 million subscribers. She's just that talented, even though she was only a teen when this video was filmed.
As this is a note-for-note transposition of Beethoven's original, if you were expecting a particular section you must have mistaken it for another movement or piece.
The backing track is from the original guitarist who transpose it for guitar : Dr Viossy
Tina S videos are never edited, except one time for "Through the Fire and Flames" where you have time to time the point of view of a cam put on the headstock, which is a wink to Herman Li who often put a cam on headstock on his videos. (But she had a lot of bad commentary from trolls about this, people saying it's cheating etc...)
I guess that the section she is referring to is the 1st movement, which is the best known piece of it.
She evidently confused this with the first movement.
Tina S is an exceptionally talented and highly skilled guitarist. Her playing is reminiscent of the legendary Mozart, and if he were alive today, he would likely be inspired by Tina S’s captivating guitar performances. Tina S’s guitar playing is lightning-fast, intricate, and virtuosic. She possesses a deep understanding of music theory and technique, which allows her to push the boundaries of a “hobbyist”, guitar player. Remarkably, Tina S was already showcasing her exceptional abilities while still in high school in Spain, demonstrating her passion and dedication to the instrument at the age of 17.
She worked on the piece for 3 months and it was filmed in one take.
The thing that gets me the most is how casual she is. Half the time she isn’t even looking at the guitar. Her fingers are so fast and precise. She went viral several years ago, and it made her go silent from all the attention. She has recently returned in the band Spin Twice.
people that have heard moonlight sonata sometimes confuse this with the much more well known 1st movement, which is very different and slower. contrary to other believes and comments there is no sped up video with Tina, she really is that fast, there are many uncut videos, where you can see this, with naturally moving hair and other stuff.
Not sped up...this is the accurate speed of the 3rd movement on the piano. Pretty much note for note, at least I didn't see/hear any deviation or error! I know this piece very well and its pretty much perfect. No multiple takes...this is what 13 years of intense practice gets you...I think Tina was only 16 or 17 at this time, and was the last video she produced for many years.
Here she was 17 and 4 months in August 2016
There are some adaptations due to fundamental differences between guitar and piano. But they were kept to an absolute minimum. She did a lot of stuff that it's not really *normal* to do on guitar, because apparently it's technically possible. And she also throws in a couple of minor things that guitar can do that piano really can't (e.g., there were a couple of small bends).
@@jonadabtheunsightly pinch harmonics too. She added them in tastefully, truly an epic performance honestly.
Funny how you think it's sped up. It is on tempo. I don't know what part you were waiting for. This is the 3rd movement. You must be thinking of a different piece.
I think the portion you were looking for was probably something from the first movement. She didn't miss a note (over 7 per second apparently.) And yes, this was in one take.
Why she can play like this, it's called practice and dedication. This produces muscle memory. She got her first classical guitar when she was 6 years old. The guitar was bigger than she was, then at 13, she got her first electric guitar, and there is a documentary showing her with her first guitar all the way up to 13 playing the electric, Tina stopped posting videos after this one, and went to study, after that she formed a band, and in 2023 started posting again, now 25 and a few tattoos and bleached hair later, she still plays like a Goddess, at 15 she plays, THROUGH THE FIRE AND FLAMES and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, enjoy. 😊
It's not sped up, watch her hair and face, only her hands are moving at this speed. It's best to watch the reaction by Doug Helvering, on the Daily Doug. He's a composer and music educator, who knows Beethoven piece inside out, and he explains all the technical aspects of how Beethoven wrote it, and the instructions. This is the third movement, which is meant to be played at this frantic pace. On this reaction, there is actually a comment from Renaud Louis-Servais, Tina's guitar teacher, who filmed this. This is a cover, of Dr Viossy's arrangement of this, for electric guitar.
Like a lot of people, you were probably waiting for her to do the 1st movement, which is much slower in tempo, and the most recognizable piece of the Sonata. The 3rd movement that you see here is almost as fast in the piano.
Yeah. First movement is slow, second is even slower than that, and the third is “B *lls to the wall speed”.
Pianist Valentina Lisitsa playing the third movement "presto agitado" is what I play when I want to elevate my adrenaline. this young guitarist does a remarkable job on her instrument.
Have you noticed that she has the classic guitar pose? Guitar players usually rest the guitar on their left leg.
Godfrey, this sixteen year old got her some serious chop !!!!!
not sped up, she's just that good, proper humble too.
Tina S - Through the fire and the Flames! MUST watch!😉
She disappeared for years but she's back now with the band she's playing with
Never bet against this girl when it comes to guitar. - You already lost.
Also Kudos to Renaud Louis-Servais, french guitar hero and her guitar teacher, who appears to have recorded this for our pleasure.
And he also appears to have given guitar lessons to Dany Villareal (The Warning) among many other talents ww.
The story, as I heard it, was that Ludwig had a very pretty student, to whom he took a liking. He wrote the first movement for her, to be a piece of great beauty, but one that she, still something of a beginner, could play (with some tutoring, of course). As she got a bit better, he wrote a shorter, but slightly more complicated, 2nd movement, which he thought she should be able to master.
Then she got married, Beethoven got pissed (possibly in both the British and the American slang senses). He then wrote the 3rd movement whilst thinking something like "Bitch never gonna be able to do this one."
I'm old and my memory isn't great, but that's (mostly) how I heard it.
The "iconic" piece of the Moonlight Sonata is the first movement. This is just the third movement, where Ludwig decided to go nuts with arpeggios.
Welcome to the world of Tina S. Praised by people like Steve Vai and Dragonforce. She has been playing guitar since she was 7. Think she practiced this particular piece for 2 months.
That’s one take . 35 of metal guitar playing guy 🤘
I think you're confused. It's not a song, it's multiple movements, you're presumably thinking of the first movement.
This is the 3rd movement. Beethoven wrote “ presto agitato” it ment to be explosive. There you have this shy teenager who is so confident that it confuses people. She only looks at the guitar neck only when she has to and she adds mad slides to make even more difficult. This shy girl is has turn into an unstoppable tornado. You are witnessing a miracle. A butterfly can turn into a dragon
just wait until she discovers Paganini ! big love to all people :)
There are numerous allegations that this video is sped up. These are not true. She is actually playing at normal speed. Watch her hair, and you will see that it is moving at natural speed.
At least he reacts to the one who did the interpretation, which is Dr Viossy, lol
Oooo a vintage Tina S cover.
She's an adult now and has a band, they're pretty interesting.
Great reaction!
Can confirm. Her new band is called Spin Twice.
@@tarinindell8217yup
As I understand it, this is one take. No cuts and not sped up. Her fingers are just flying back and forth on her guitar. I've probably watched this a hundred times or more.
As a lover a classical music and metal ( they are the same just in a different centuries)... this is absolutely the 3rd movement...she is a BEAST on guitar...not sped up....this is how fast she can actually play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never expected someone to react to this but glad you did
You are forgiven for your "cut" bit.
All is well that ends well.
There are sixteen known covers recorded between ages thirteen and seventeen, this one being the last of that set. She started classical guitar training at the age of six. There is an additional video giving a snippet into her progress up to the age of around twelve when she switched to electric guitar.
Tina Setkic was born 7 April 1999.
After the recording in 2017 she went off the grid to study at university. She re-entered the music scene last year as a member of the band Spin Twice. However, she, again, disappeared being harrased by "bullies"...
Of the sixteen covers, do yourself the favour by visiting the following Tina S covers (getting progressively more difficult as you go down the list).
1. Arpeggios from hell - original by Ingwie Malmsteen;
2. "The Loner" - Gary Moore;
3. "Through the Fire and Flames - DragonForce (featuring Herman Li);
4. "Altitudes" - Jason Becker;
5. "For the Love of God" - Steve Vai.
Therafter check out some others, Pink Floyd, Van Haylen...
Tina received, in essence, praise from Li, Backer and Vai, themselves master guitarists.
Enjoy the world's best - TINA SETKIC.
This girl is awesome! BRAVO! 🎉😃🎉
The backing is simply there to help her with the presto timing. She is not helped by any other backing. She is simply a prodigy virtuoso.
No cuts no mistakes note by note and she is 17 years old in this vidieo. Dissapeared after that until this year,
She's now on a band called Spin Twice, they have good songs, you should check them out!
RUclips is a miracle of sorts. Tina S put out a significant fraction of the most superb guitar performances of this millennium, while still a teenager. No cuts, no edits, no trickery. Talent and long, hard work. Tina got over 1M subscribers. Rayactions spent several minutes not recognising the piece (likely the 1st movement; under 30 seconds, excluding ads, to find it, and recognise it), then wondering aloud how the video might be faked, concluding it wasn't. Yet has almost ¼million views. That is a kind of miracle, isn't it?
Best Wishes. ☮
We are not likely compatible.
REALLY? That's your answer? Laugh at somebody and make fun of them over their ignorance, rather than making any attempt at EDUCATING them? You could not possibly actually BE NICE about it?
Good riddance to bad rubbish, then. See ya, you stupid bully.
'Stupid' being the operative word here, meaning YOU FULLY WELL KNOW BETTER but you did something DUMB anyway.
fun fact she is french and now is in the band spin twice
she does a great cover of Dragonforce's Through the Fire and the Flames!
It's pretty cool that she has resurfaced with a band of her own, Spin Twice. They're pretty solid!
In case you are interested , the tempo she was playing in is called "presto agitato" and is about 255 beats per minute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tina S. is playing at about 140 BPM. That's noticeably faster than any concert pianist I've heard. The metronome was invented in 1815, fourteen years after the Moonlight Sonata was published. And though Beethoven was an early adopter of the metronome, and I believe he did add metronome markings to some of his earlier pieces, he did not add metronome markings to the Moonlight Sonata. So exactly how fast the piece is played is left to the discretion of the performer. "Presto agitato" is pretty damn fast, and some people think Beethoven's metronome markings in his later piano pieces are insane, but it isn't always breakneck speed. Tina's speed, though definitely on the fast side, is not at all out of keeping for this piece, and her performance is impeccable.
About a year ago, I got into an argument with someone who insisted Tina was taking it too fast, and I checked the BPM for several famous pianists to compare with Tina's tempo. I also checked the score for metronome markings, and I checked out the construction of pianos from Beethoven's lifetime. The pianos from that period have a lighter action, allowing faster tempi without too much strain and without the sound getting muddy. They're even called by a different name--fortepianos. Steinway's innovations came in the late 1840s and 50s. So Beethoven's fast metronome markings aren't as impossible as some people think with old style fortepianos.
This was from when she was something like 15 years old.
Watch her "through the fire and flames"- cover 🎉🎉🎉
It's not a cover.. Beethoven didn't record music. He composed the music. Musicians play it
The one thing I've never understood about the Moonlight Sonata is what the second movement is doing there.
The second movement is charming, albeit a little old-fashioned. I think it's a sunny breather between the moonlight and the storm.
Not sped up. It's called talent.
She plays the third movement. The iconic piece is the beginning of the first. Too easy, and probably also too boring for her. She specialized, at this point in her playing, in learning the hardest, and most difficult, solos and songs, from some of the legendary guitarists.
Yeah. I can play that on guitar and I am still definitely a beginner.
What merit does she have? If she only knows how to make covers, even this one since the one who created this interpretation of the original melody was Dr Viossy, it is easy to play over music that someone already created and she has no merit
This sounds so much better on piano.
If you want to hear the Moon Light Piano Sonata - Arthur Rubinstein is the iconic performance .
Usually Stephen Kovacevich , Emil Gilels or Brendal are iconic players for Beethoven Piano - but for the Moon Light
Rubinstein is the way to go .
If you want to listen to Rock , then listen to Rock .
.
It's because you have no ear.
Whatever anyone says to you the Woe is gone and no one has to worry about it anymore. She abandoned her fans 8 years and disappeared. When she finally came back in Spin Twice she was nothing more than a mediocre garage band guitarist. She had the music world in her hands and she phuked it all away. I dare anyone to say differently!
💯
Any fingernails left on her fingers after that????
that's an amazing talent!
The iconic part is the first movement, which is much simpler and would not be nearly as impressive on guitar.
Tina S is brilliant. We must recognise this latter day Mozart 😅
Now that you mention it, I AM a cutie-patootie
7 years ago (she is 24-25 now), it is indeed one piece, and yes she is generational. No surprise I would assume. Better question would likely be who the heck is her teacher. I don't know.
You were probably thinking of the 1st movement. This is the 3rd.
It is not sped up at all and there are no cuts.
Music is the Art of sound where people communicate and express emotion .
Just because someone has the technical still to play a billion notes a second doesn't make it music .
Music needs to be honest .
Again if you want to listen to the Moon Light , I highly recommend listening to Rubinstein . If you want to listen to Beethoven's Late Piano Sonatas , highly recommend Brendal - many would argue Kovachevich or Emil Gilies .
If you want to listen to Rock listen to Pearl Jam on MTV
.
4:58 ish .. you are one of the only reactors that picked up what I saw .. many reactors say she was bored and showed no emotion .. I always thought just the opposite .. that she is very focused and the emotions are there .. but soft and slight
If it was easy, it wouldn't have 50 million views
I wonder, do you have to call someone playing Ludwig van Beethoven a “cover?” We kinda know that, right?
Is this your big complaint in life? Go away.
Well. Actually, since Beethoven didn’t write it for guitar, it had to be transcribed. Which Dr. Viossey did years ago. She’s playing a cover of HIS transcription.
It is a cover of the transcription that Dr Viossy made years ago, he has the merit and of course, Beethoven in creating this work of art
It's too bad you don't like any of your comments, so it's impossible to know if you've read any of them. Anyway, she's just this good. A super talent.
Tina S конечно уникальная девушка, её исполнение бесподобно, но... Послушайте то же самое в исполнении Валентины Лисицы. Вы будете в шоке.
My favorite of her old covers is probably the one of Gary Moore - The Loner. It's got feeeling
She should audition for Nemophila. If anyone is qualified for Saki's part it would be this lady. The Japanese part, ahh you learn the as you live there
One take filmed by her guitar teacher with a backing track.
Spectacular performance
yeh so she was like 17 much much much than some of her earlier pieces 😂😂😂❤❤❤
Neo-Classical
Randy Rhodes is back 🎸
She has so many covers she has alot of Dream Theater as well and Gary Moore she is a prodigy she broke the internet a long time ago then she disappeared now she is back with her band Spin Twice great reaction it’s time for some Dan Vasc the best metal singer in utube he is classicaly trained as a opera singer as well Che k out he Amazing Grace like you never heard get the tissues and his Heart will go on his newest he will have you begging for more his Anazing Grace has 12 million views and he has over a million subscribers there is a reason for that love ya
With a little practice I think she could actually become quite good
Tina? Yeah, she’s coming along nicely.
You should see her cover of Dragon Force Though the Fire and Flames. This comment is from Allen
She also came back to RUclips recently with her new band called Spin Twice definitely check out 😊
No fast forward, Real time... You obviously didn't see her play DragonForce and you should ;)
Not a diss, just info and tips!
Definitely check out Tina dragon force through the fire and the flames cover at 15 years old, awesome request 😊
I'd love to hear which part you were hoping to hear her cover in this video.
Obviously it’s the beginning of the first movement. That’s what EVERYONE knows. Most aren’t even aware of the rest of the song.
@@frankiek2269 Why would Rayactions be hoping the 1st movement to be included in a cover of the 3rd movement?
@@Rob_Infinity3 She thought the whole video was the first movement. It didn’t “click”, even though it’s in the title, until she was into the video that it wasn’t. She probably didn’t know “which” movement that iconic part was in.
Not speed up or cut. I am disappointed you even said that!
Watch her hair throughout the entire performance, everything is in speed. Hair wouldn't move like that of it was too fast, it would just look fake.
She is amazing. Prodigy.
Besides if you watch her hands you know there were no cuts.
This is the greatest female guitarist in the world and ONCE AGAIN RUclips POSTS REVIEWS BY PEOPLE WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MUSIC OR BEETHOVEN why does RUclips bothers with these idiots she's a twit don't post her again she's into HAIR 🐹
16 years old back then
This is the third movement, not the first - she does not do any of that movement - there are no cuts, this is a one take performance like someone would do on a stage, and it is not sped up - there are other people who do this on RUclips
Anything classical and everything genre of music sounds better as a metal version or on the electric guitar. Its where metal got its inspiration and birthed from is classical pieces.
Slash ft Myles Kennedy n the Conspirator "anastasia"❤
1 take video. If you sing a concert you got only 1 take.
not sped up. she has been complimented but some of the greatest guitarists like jason becker steve vai herman lee
So many people don't know the full song. Kinda sad.
Bravissima Tina
I can't even play false notes that fast...
No Cuts.
That's really not bad, but we already saw and heard reactions to Vai and Townsend, so I don't know what to tell - probably, let's give youngster a chance! 😃❤⚡️
She also plays Beck’s “Altitudes”!
