I really like these webinars over some of the quick tips, this is like a quick 1hr quick tip. Some time talk about when you might want to have a different transducer like the Airmar's.

Thanks very much for explaining the positioning of transducers . I have an Aquabell 27 wich is planning at the rear which suits the down scanning sonar. It is a deep v at the bow and I would appreciate any comments for fitting my forward facing transducer to get the best results. Kind regards Dave

I have had my Lowrance Hook² 5 ts for two seasons. It is the triple shot with down and side scan imaging and GPS. I've had nothing but problems with it constantly losing bottom (depth) readings, just giving me " --- " then going to an actual depth or getting stuck at 2.1 or 2.9 no matter what depth of water you're in... moving it standing still. It also will very frequently, during any day of fishing, give me outrageous readings for depth like 800 feet it 1,340 feet... when I'm sitting in 8 feet of water. The software has been updated and I've done the resets to default many times as well as hard resets and nothing changes except that now I can't even get the boat batteries volt reading to show up on the screen anymore. You can reboot the unit as many times as you want and it may seem okay for a few minutes and go back to doing the same crazy things. I have contacted Lowrance a few times and they don't know what the problem is and say to send it in but I'm afraid that I won't get it back for quite a long time.do you know anything that would be making this fish finder do this as well as my five-year-old Elite 3x one is doing the same crazy thing on this 4 ft wide by 10 ft long fishing boat. I'm not sure if I would be able to navigate back to this location to find her reply answer but maybe you could answer me at email BX509@AOL.com thank you.

Again, thank you for your expertise. I'll have my HDS-9 Live 3-1 transducer in the water at the end of July 2023. I have a quick question. My unit will be installed by Bass Pro Shop in Harrisburg, PA, on a Suntracker Bass Buggy 18-DLX. The 3-1 transducer will be installed in the usually spot on the back of the left toon on the bracket that protects the live well pump. That position is significantly above the bottom of the left toon. Is that going to be susceptible to turbulence causing onscreen issues? Also, is the live well pump going to cause interference onscreen because the transducer in located on its protective bracket that is welded to the toon? Thank you for any and all help!
    Kind Regards,
    William R. Culver Jr.

Please send us a message via FB with pictures of the transducer location so that we can have a better look and give you advise for the above. We're sure the people in Bass Pro Shop will know how to deal with your set-up.

40:25 why does the unit occasionally show big black or white rectangles? Looks pretty clunky for a high end unit.

You can select B260. Depending on the resistance of the temp sensor, you can choose 5k or 10k. If you choose 5k and the temperature is way off then select 10k.
