    Monitors r the hardest pc component to buy lol. And most ppl look at price refresh rate resolution only. That’s a massive mistake😆 u need to know color accuracy latency the brightness & contrast levels. Gsync/freesync can ur pc even run the framerates of ur monitor.. like buying a 240hz monitor while u have a 3050 is pointless u less ur a CSGO/valorant pro. Even then u don’t NEED 240hz

    *I switched to a 32" 1440p 75Hz BenQ. The color depth, color volume, accuracy, and array is FAR superior as an IPS panel compared to OLED or TN.*
    *The colors are so dang sharp, and they pop so aggressively. I am in awe. The GAMING setting on the BenQ monitors is unmatched.*

  • @fabiandrinksmilk6205

    Also important to consider is that resolution drastically affect performance. There is also a lot more that goes into monitors. You can get a much better experience with a quality 1440p monitor than a similarly priced 4K one. I'd say that for at least single player, good HDR is much more important than the resolution, especially when it also means you can run at higher frame rates.

    You forgot about panel types and response times. Basically lower response times are better for clarity if something is moving. For panel type: va and ips are both fine, for better color and response time you can go for an oled or qd oled monitor

  • @ScrubsSwaggin
    @ScrubsSwaggin 9 месяцев назад +52

    If you want to buy a monitor for competitive gaming (CS2/GO, Valorant etc), You should buy a monitor with high refreshing rate. Minimum 144 hz recommended. Also reaction time of the monitor should be 1 ms to not experience delay. Theres 3 panels wich are VN, IPS and TN. Avoid VN panels to not experience GHOSTING (a faint trail or afterimage of moving objects on your screen). TN panels are fastest and cheapest than ISP and VN
    TN has a bit worse colors and contrast but TN Panels has fastest reaction time between VN and IPS. Your FPS Should be high as your monitor refresh rate. If you have a thousand FPS on a 144 hz monitor you will see it as 144 FPS. 24 inch monitor also recommended on esport gaming wich this is preference. This is the best monitor preferences for competitive games like CS2/GO or Valorant etc. In my opinion this short is not helpful for choosing monitors.

    • @f1xsu
      @f1xsu 9 месяцев назад +18

      its not vn, its va panel. also other panels suffer from different issues, so its like pick your poison. va has ghosting as you said, tn has shitty color accuracy, ips has bad contrast and backlight bleeding. if you dont want any of those, you will need to get an oled monitor which will cost you a pretty penny and even then, you might get screen burn in if you are not careful enough..

    I need a 32 inch because I don’t wanna feel like I’m compromising on the size because I already have dual 32 inch. This also means I need a higher resolution because you could see the individual pixels if it’s only a regular HD monitor. Also, one thing I need is a lead because I’m too used to using a lead displays cause I daily drive a iPhone 15 Pro Max, 23 M3 Max MacBook Pro 16in, Ultra Watch and a new 24 iPad Pro 13in and all of these have OLEDs. and like they say once you’ve experience OLED you don’t wanna go back so it got me in a chokehold. Like other people might say they don’t really care or they can’t tell the difference but I could tell and it’s annoying.😂

      PPI don't matter if you're going to sit far enough, there's no way you're noticing the difference between a 1440p and 4k 24 inch monitors as long as you're sitting at least 50 cm away from the screen,

    This is a great time to be in the market for a monitor... There is absolutely no need to spend more than $300 for even a top end 32 inch...for those who need it you can get a 100+hz/1ms monitor starting from like ..$100..unless u want 4k

    Well, buying a monitor to me is also looking at the future. I would want a monitor to last at least another GPU upgrade, so atleast 5 years as im not upgrading every few years. And when i upgrade i would want to use that extra power.
    Im currently considering to buy a completely new gaming pc, as my current pc is 12 years old and i upgraded the motherboard, cpu and gpu 5 years ago. At first i wanted to go for 1440p 144hz, but after running a benchmark i could aswell go for a 4k 180hz 34" ultrawide

      To those people, you really need to ask yourself if you actually want a 4K display. 4K has a great impact on performance that could've otherwise gone to a higher refresh rate 1440p display with good HDR, which has a much bigger impact than the higher resolution of 4K.

    5 things you should consider are Panel ( I go with IPS ) , Refresh rate ( at least 144hz) , Latency (1ms) , Gsync/Freesync ( nvida/ amd ), Color accurracy. (100%sRGB)
    Size and resolution is depended on what you doing
    For Competitive fps game 24 inch 1080p is standard no need to go higher ( 24inch is all fine with 2K or 4k tho )
    If you want a bigger screen like 27 inch and above then you must choose 1440p or your screen gonna look ass.
