You should do more of the higher stuff like grade 7-9 questions because I do triple science and I found that some of the questions we did in class were more complicated than this but thanks :)
Just finished writing up all notes 4 physics paper 1 feels so good its all thanks to this man right here.u helped me go from getting 5 in year 8 to getting a mark off 7 in year 11 hopefully i can get 8 in acc exam
I know how to calculate those heat capacity and latent heat and specific heat capacity by watching the video once. These videos are amazing! They save my life from the exam!!!
You are literally my life saviour I am currently revising for my gcse science for next year and I didn't understand this topic in class however I now completely understand and I am now more confident at answering exam style questions on specific latent heat. Please continue to make more videos so I can revise even more and I am really looking forward to buying your revision guide do you know when it will be published? Once again thank you very much!
Sir when are u gonna make videos for biology and pls make all 9-1 specs before 2018 GCSEs exams next year thank you very much u are really helping my god bless for the help I are giving me
Hi and thanks for the comment. I'll be making the first Biology videos this week so you'll see them uploaded in the next couple of days. And all of the videos will be done by the 2018 exams.
Freesciencelessons thank you very much i can't put in to words how helpful you have been to my science education I just want to know what the difference is from the past GCSEs to the new version apart from the grade is it that there is more recall I don't know so pls could you explain it in a video thxs
My physics year 11 mock is tomorrow and the grades will be used for my centre-assessed grade, but I feel confident thanks your collection of videos, thanks sir!
hey there, i have some confusion regarding the formula of specific latent heat, it says E=m*l, and at 2:21, you named ''E'' as energy for change of state, but isn't the energy needed to change the state of matter called specific latent heat? but in formula it further say (mass*specific latent heat)
Did yall realise that he said ‘you know’ instead of ‘remember’ at the end of the video when talking about his revision questions. lmaooo, that broke my heart
Hi Sir I don't get how specific latent heat works... you said that it is the amount of thermal energy needed to change state on the substance without change in temperature. How does that work?
This might be a strange question but I was wondering wether specific heat capacity and specific latent heat were similar as the both have specific and heat in the word, thanks
Only because that is the language that the AQA exam board use in the specification. I like to very specifically follow the spec as that is what the exams are based on.
This is for the AQA spec but the specs are virtually identical now so it also applies to Edexcel, except that in the Edexcel spec, they use the letter Q for energy not E.

I am watching this for a level physics I can't believe you guys are doing this for gcse
neither can we fml
so.so.so.stressed out honestly
Is a level physics hard? Thoughts?
yeah it's pretty tough but if you enjoy it you will find a way to revise and learn everything
I’m in year 9 and doing it help pls
thank you so much. I was a mess in class. I got here and everything made sense. forever grateful
This is so much easier to understand than the text books
the night before GCSE, still saving me
congrats, you've finished the whole physics paper 1 topics!!
yesurrrrrr all of us are gonna smash it tomorrow, we got this!!!!
This guy is too modest he said that we might have to watch it more than once I only needed it once
WHY IS THIS SO MUCH EASIER, YOU’VE LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFEEE 💗

Thank you sir for your help😀😃 Respect you from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰
shout out to the struggling year 11s, you've got this !!
thank youuuu! im in y13 but I came back for a nice refresher since I forgot this stuff from GCSE
Can you make a app which has all of the videos downloaded because I have Internet access sometimes
that's gonna need lots and lots of storage
yk its peak when the vid is longer than 3 mins
haven't learnt a lot in class but your a big help !!
Thank you so much. You're always here when my terrible trainee teacher fails me.

Thank you for this video, it really helps.
you said that specific latent heat is hard and specific heat capacity is straightforward i think it is the other way around
i beg to differ..
Watching this on the way to my exam
How was it ?
Even though I’m asking 10 months later 😂👏🏻

Hi Sir I don't get how specific latent heat works... you said that it is the amount of thermal energy needed to change state on the substance without change in temperature. How does that work?
Sir, when do we need to know when to convert J to KJ? Do we only convert it when the question specifically says so? Many thanks
Normally we only convert to kJ when the value in joules is extremely large. The question should tell you what it wants.
@@Freesciencelessons Thank you so much sir! I really, truly appreciate these vids. They're so helpful and straight to the point. Thanks a lot!
Thanks G, late night revision
nothing else changes but his tie🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
what are the factors that affect specific latent heat of fusion?
This might be a strange question but I was wondering wether specific heat capacity and specific latent heat were similar as the both have specific and heat in the word, thanks
Can yo do the specific latent heat of vaporization
It's covered in the video "Specific Latent Heat".
Thanks daddy science 🔬
I pretend I do not see it ー👄ー
Quick q, when a substance changes state , it gains / loses potential energy, is the change in PE called latent heat?
Hi Sir, Why do you say vapour instead of gas?
Only because that is the language that the AQA exam board use in the specification. I like to very specifically follow the spec as that is what the exams are based on.
one day before final exam and still trying to learn
how'd the exam go?
Do we have to remember the latent heat equation?
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nice tie
how come you didn’t change the Joules into killer joules? or is that not necessary?
winging my science exam😎
do we need to learn the definitions for the exam?
yep
@@nattycarey2083 man like
here 6 months later for my mocks😭
bruh this is way easier than specific heat capacity that shit be so hard
depends.....

Top g
thank you
is there a reason why there is 0 temp change. that's the only thing i didn't get..
Yes because if the temperature changed, then we would have to consider the specific heat capacity rather than the specific latent heat.
How is it possible to change a state with no change in temperature??
Because all of the energy has gone to break the forces between the molecules, rather than increase the kinetic energy of the molecules.
Thanks shawn!
Great video!! xx
Are all your videos based on aqa
they are
THANK YOU!
hey, is this for Edexcel..if not do you do Edexcel? it would be great if u did, and please reply, it would be nice if u did
This is for the AQA spec but the specs are virtually identical now so it also applies to Edexcel, except that in the Edexcel spec, they use the letter Q for energy not E.

do we need to know the practicals for this
I would recommend learning it
