Those 4-banger motors are super duper reliable & it would be cool to have 1 of those with the charger on it something unique & I bet it would help the performance so much, they definitely lack on power but not reliability.

Some dick head tweakers tried to cut my catalytic converters off we caught them & they just put cuts in the exhaust got it welded & fixed thank God they almost cut my transmission lines if I would have caught them, we almost caught them we walked out just as they were starting and they drove away by the time I realized what was going on.. If in the act he probably would have caught a 🔥 one if you know what I mean... People are the scum of the 🌍 be careful with your Tacoma look at RCI skid plates they have one that will cover your transmission transfer case and half of the catalytic converter & then for another $125 they make the shields that cover the other 1/2 of your cats. I guess the Tacoma & Ford F-250 are 2 of the hottest trucks to steal the converters from.. just an FYI. & on a side note they told me it could have cost between $2-4,000 & I could have been without a truck between 1-4 months due to the lack of parts availability. So 500 bucks on that plate may not sound so bad because that's probably the price of your deductible anyways 🤷🏻
Currently running the supercharger with stock pulley, big aluminum radiator, TRD high pressure radiator cap, Urd 7th injector kit which comes with bigger high flow fuel pump, Hayden transmission oil cooler, high flow cat back exhaust from magnaflow, slightly bigger supra brown top fuel injectors, 170 degree trd thermostat, and a transmission shift kit (: Also have the deck plate air box mod done. Truck runs SUPER smooth it’s quite unbelievable in my honest opinion I love it! It’s a torque monster 🥰 I get about 6-7 psi with this setup. The 7th injector kit comes with aic/timing calibrater to tune, I used the preloaded map It comes with and have never had any issues. Will be installing a urd 2.1 pulley this week to bump up the boost, maybe a meth kit 😎 P.s : I live in Las Vegas, elevation of about 2000

Honestly man it all depends on how well maintained the truck is! I’ve seen first gen tacomas with healthy engines at 300k get supercharged and handle the boost with no issues, but then again i Can only speak on first gens , don’t own much about second gens

Didn’t come off anything, was installed by Toyota on stock engine.

It’s an original TRD supercharger, Black second generation. Now sold as a “ magnuson superchargers “
