Now I want to show some actuation. I think I am going to make 3 configurations: max spring height assembly allows, minimum height assembly allows, and midway between.

In case of me, when I make extrude cut two ends of the spring by extrude cut comand, solidworks shows an error which is "This operation requires a fully defined sketch". But in case of your example you do smoothly that. What is the problem here bro? Thanks

make sure that ur sketch is closed.. OR... go to Tools...Options..Sketch
