I was under the impression that a gear and teeth for that gear would require a mathematical equation so if the outside circumference changes, the gear teeth change also.
They do You need a ton of formulas to make a gear You can't just make one like it is shown in the video If you do when you make it in real life it will be either totally unusable or just very harm itself in all the different ways making it practically unusable
How you find a dimensions of the radius and all stuff .. Can you please tell me which module of gear you make ?? Can you make a video on a different modules or maybe tell us how we change the nodules..
Depends where are you going to work, Catia is more popular on aeronautic industry (because the software was designed originally to be exclusive for Boeing) and in german companies (but is slowly being replaced by Siemens NX), Solidworks is more popular in other branches of engineering. In my opinion and since Catia and Solidworks are made by the same company (the reason why Dassault System bought the Solidworks Company is because Dassault found Solidworks being some similar to Catia, so we can say Solidworks is "Catia light") i recommend you to learn Catia V5 first, because is harder, someone who learns Catia will use Solidworks without problems with only seeing it 1 minute, that effect is not the same if you learn Solidworks first and then you go to Catia.
All other videos I've seen did assembly, but that didn't give me the results I wanted. This is the best by far for my situation. Thanks!

This design doesn’t take into account pitch diameter, the design of the gear (involute) etc :/
This tutorial could have been 3 steps shorter.... Use Revolve, save yourself and others time!!
