Can this type of spring compression animation be included as part of an assembly animation using the exploded type of animations?
Also; is it possible to spin a component as a part of the animation in Solidworks?
For example, animating a screw being screwed into another component.

regarding your second question about animating a screw being screwed it's possible just search for mechanical mates and you will find alot of videos explaining how to do it.

You can use belt function on Solidworks assembly

@@cad4ts No. That function doesn't animate each individual piece of track in a tank track.

Belt function is the first start to trace the path of the track so that the wheel or pulleys you use turn like a belt motion (track)
, then you use the chain pattern to insert individual track along the path.
If what I said does not work, tutorial about that is already on RUclips (not mine) . You can search it.

this piece of garbage software will not allow the creation of the second sketch !! I follow this step by step and it does not work ! I create the centerline OK .
Then I close out of that sketch and try to create ANOTHER sketch for the circle . This P.O.S. keeps forcing the second sketch into the first one .
This means the sweep command will not work because there is only one sketch even though I have done everything possible to put the circle on its own sketch !

Let me tell you
When making the circle , remember to no let it form any relation of reference with the line .
You can later make the circle centre horizontal to the line
