Couldn't agree more with your statement "Traffic Lights of Life won't GREEN all at once", one just need to start at some point in pursuing things which they enjoy. What's stopping us is a million $ question 😎. Cheers all the way and much appreciate the insights of the journey, which we are working towards ourselves and just waiting for the amber light to give the right indication😂.

Cool setup you have on your car. Really nice areas you are travelling in. What a cool girl you are taking on such adventures and talking about your discoveries and some philosophical notes as well.
After seeing a few of those videos you have made i am impressed with your ability to share your journey and it is entertaining and relaxing most of the time except when there is danger lurking. But seeing what you are capable of sort of I also see that you are fully aware of this.
Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing such an inspirational story and adventure 👍

"The traffic lights are never all green..." Ive been sitting waiting to leave for near 6 months now. Vehicle ready. Leaving March next year with no plans other than meander Tasmania and hike the Overland Track, my first overnight hike. Its little gems like your quote above that are sooo encouraging.
How many kms on the cruiser now?
Suggestion - When you next clamber underneath, might be worth checking the auto selector hasn't moved, or mud and stones stopping it locking into park. Just preventative brainstorming.
Plus - love you still have your 'Kings' chair. Just shows you dont need the best of everything but rather, make the best of everything. Keep them coming, awesome vids👍 🤗 From Oz

Believe it or not keeping your old cruiser running is leaving less of a carbon footprint than buying a new or electric vehicle. I helped do engineering and design for a particular electric vehicle manufacturer in California years ago. Could talk for hours regarding this subject.
I could walk you through how a motor vehicles carbon footprint is calculated, Id say you'd be rather surprised.
Since doing that work Ive minimalized my footprint, own very little, not even a home now.
The goal is just to vanish full time in my Truck, travel as much as I can and see as before my time is up for you never know when your number is up !!

Also I was very VERY fortunate to be able to spend a good amount of time with an Environmental Professor/Scientist who was an advisor to the U.N Board on "Global Economic Sustainability", Note the word "Economic", they leave that word out today regarding "Sustainability". These globalists are placating to the younger generation to keep the Corporations profits flowing.
That being said we still need to respect our Planet, our Mother the nurturer who gives us all we have.
      Keep it simple !

That not true in all cases. The "lifetime carbon footprint" of a new hybrid or pure electric can be lower than your current vehicle as long as the electricity is produced in a low carbon method such as hydro, nuclear, solar, or wind. ie. Operating a Tesla in British Columbia (hydro electric) would be much more green than a Tesla in Seattle (coal powered electricity). A Tesla operating in Seattle would currently yield a higher carbon footprint than a fuel efficient internal combustion engine vehicle or hybrid.

    • @LawrenceTheKiwiBryant
      @LawrenceTheKiwiBryant 2 года назад

@@Chris07131 So you want to debate with someone who has worked and built Prototype electric vehicles for major motoring manufacturers, Ok!!
You take a brand new Tesla Model S and say an E Series Mercedes and own them for the average lifetime of a vehicle (15 years in North Amerca) the Tesla Model S only has a Carbo footprint of 10-12 % less that the E Series Merc.
You literally have absolutely zero clue of how toxic it is to produce the Battery Cell. Also spent time with the engineers of A123 Battery Systems, they're now bankrupt.
Let alone the fact that the battery cell can not be recycled for reuse, majority of the lithium ion can only be recycled for dust!!
You do realize that to correctly calculate a carbon footprint you have to take recycling into the equation!!
And hydro is not carbon proof either based on the footprint of the lake that usually was once trees.
And don't get me started on Wind or Solar, You've been feed lies son!!!
Nuclear is about the cleanest form of energy production available, I agree 100% on that 👍🏻 however because of past accidents with Nuke plants folk are paranoid about Nuke Plants which is a shame.
Just for a drill a few years ago Mugu Naval Station got a U.S Nuke power Aircraft Carrier in to power up Ventura County (900 thousand folk) and it worked fine!
Anyway just to prove the absolute insanity of this subject the Key Building Block to EVERYTHING in the Universe is carbon right Lol

You leave the house a little later than usual on one specific day and come to find out you avoided an accident or something of that nature...... As you travel you see it's time to rest relax and sleep in nature cause if things try to grow now winter will kill it...... So like i said nothing is accidental..... I like how you are trying to set up a heads up for a foreshadow of future events lol.... Ms. Lady you are good at what you do but please be safe and careful out there please take better care of yourself and sometimes fear is not a bad thing even tho your trying to build your confidence in yourself i get it but fear teaches you how to think on your feet but also respect what you fear..... For example i don't like heights but yet I've been in a plane and had window seats I've been on rooftops I've been in high rise buildings i cherish the view i look more outwards instead of looking directly down and this is how i have my moment of strength while facing my fear..... Now I worry you faint not good, take care, please.
Now as to the fault yep maybe the sluggish start in the morning was an indication of trouble on the way, but more than likely just the water splashed up and due to the temperature drop had caused it to freeze stopping the gearbox linkage from being able to fully engage, so just be aware even the engine gearbox and exhaust are not creating enough heat when you are stationary with the engine idling is a likely reason. Yep being a mechanic I tend to think in advance, so yep my dog and myself would be the ideal travel partners a mechanic on tap a warm body for heat and a dog for extra warmth on those cold cold nights, ahh that reminds me of a cartoon I saw of an old Scottish castle guest room, the housekeeper informed the guest she had put an extra dog on the bed as it was going to be a lot colder tonight lol.

are you diabetic, I am, my blood sugar averages between 250-300, sometimes when I exert too much energy or when I get up from kneeling or squatting my brain gets real foggy & I have to find a place to sit down or I'll pass out, it really sucks., I hope you're feeling better.
