This is awesome. I wish there was another mode where you can do several car tests so that I don’t have to run to my car. Am I just being greedy now? Lol
I use 3 different headphones ..my car and a Sonus..I'm on my third album..I wasn't impressed with this..it just changed the stereo field..I got the low end covered...its just an extra level on complication I don't need
the car test is one of the best!
Check out Beyerdynamic Virtual Studio. I don't really think it's quite as accurate as this plugin is but it has a couple of different presets and a car is one.

Camera tracking by it self is so so. Ge5 the NX blue tooth app, a pair of the Senn280Pro headphones (only $99, great specs/build AND have a EQ profile), finally enter your head & ear measurements and the experience is another level over what this ( and all the other reviews I’ve seen) shows.
That plugin is CRAZY. Might pick it up for the fact that I mix 99.9% of the time on headphones haha.
Also, random question Sean, any plans for the next mix critique? I got a new record on standby!

I think looking to the back attenuates the high end. Not sure if its the BEST thing to do but whatever.
FYI the head measurement does NOT take your hat into consideration... maybe ver 2 will have that feature ;)

I've been using this for a couple months now and really like it. But every time I launch Reaper, I have to go into the Studio 3 settings and reselect my head size (which I've saved) from the pulldown. It keeps going back to the default head size settings, even though I created a default preset with my own head size. How do I fix this? Is there something strange about the way Waves does presets?
Hey Sean, Would you recommend NX Virtual Mix Room or Waves Abbey Road Studio 3? I trying to mix and master in room that isn't conducive for either. I want to mix in headphones and came across this video. Would recommend that I get either of these plugins?
I love the concept of this, but i hate the head tracking stuff. Every time you load it up, whether you have it disabled or not, it loads a desperate piece of software for head tracking. Plus its harder on my comp, and not very serviceable in my dark environment. I wish i would totally disable it, then it would be amazing
there's an option to disable head tracking directly in the plugin, click "do not show this message again" on the warning and close the NX window 👍
@@SeanDivine does that actually stop the software from launching? cause i was pretty sure i disabled it, but even though it was disabled, it still loaded up the software in the background. Idk maybe i missed a button i was supposed to click, but i couldn't figure out how to make it stop haha

Waves doesnt recommend it, they mention posible phasing problems when used on real speakers

Sir do this plugin calibrate any headphone and give flat response like Abbey roads speaker?
Waves just added tons of new EQ curves. They're not "flat" like other apps, they use the Harman Target Curve, which takes into account what speakers sound like in their acoustic environment.
i am not under stand.. you told this is master bus last plugin ..in export time this plugin keep the master bus are remove ..after apply this plugin can i adjust eq and compress
Make adjustments prior to NX processing (while monitoring through it) and bypass the plugin before export.

I’m sorry man I can’t hear a difference on my 3 dollar pair of earphones off eBay using my phones earphone audio input.
This plugin is a total ripoff, a friend of mine has it and hates it. The turn around effect feels just like a regular pan and the three sets of monitors sound like an eq move. Over the years I got different headphones: Sennheiser HD 25-C totally neutral, Meze 99 a little bass heavy, beats by Dre very bass heavy and Audio -thechnica ATH-T44 very cheap that sounds thin and....cheap. Not to mention a couple of ear buds.
All these to compare with my Yamaha HS 80 monitors.
try it for yourself before calling it a ripoff. get the demo.
What do you think different speakers with different frequency ranges are going to do? Lol @ sounds like an eq move... well, duh!
It doesn't beat a good pair of monitor speakers in an optimized room, but if you're like me, living in a place with thin walls next door to people who hates loud music, this plugin could be very useful.
