    Slight terminology correction. The t-case is not divorced. In a divorced t-case system, there is a driveshaft between the rear of the transmission and the front of the t-case, as on the trail finder 2. No big deal, just for clarification purposes. Love your videos.

    Best kit for the dollar out there. The extra money over the Axial kit is well spent and the SSD has none of the problems or required upgrades of the Axial. Very nice chassis. Battery placement is a non issue. It is far more stable than my SCX10.2. Lots of room for interior. Shocks do not leak at all. Can't say enough about this kit.

    RC4WD Blazer body FTW!
    I just built this kit. Great chassis. I'm using the Reedy Radon as well.
    SSD stated they designed the stock location of the motor to keep the motor weight as low as possible.

      Shapeways is over hyped. Anybody can print nylon (versatile plastic) at home with a bag on their budget printer. I do. Shapeways finish quality isn't even all that. • @NaturallyRC
      @NaturallyRC Год назад

      @@scalebuildersguild Long term, sad to report that your suspicions at 11:00 were spot-on, so, well done. These axles are a problem, even on a light rig like this. The centre plastic housing collars are not robust enough to support the tubes, and before long the tubes become loose and sloppy where they plug in. The only solution is to replace the centre housings (which are thankfully not expensive). You need to replace the tubes eventually as well, whether they are plastic or even if they are metal, as the threaded holes for the m3 screws also become sloppy. I don't have enough experience with other multipart axles to know whether this is to be expected, but it sure isn't a problem with axles where the pumpkin and tubes are one unit.
