I used this thing for about a year non-stop on a flip house. You could not stress it. This thing was a tank. Also -> thank you for pointing out those depth guides. I never bothered to fuss with it since I needed it ASAP for the flip house. Oh my gosh that's a great feature!
Appreciate the feedback Jack 👊
I just bought this last week. It is my new favorite tool! Before buying this, I would have said the FLEX one hand reciprocating saw is my favorite tool and before that I would have said the FLEX inline circular saw is my favorite tool. 6 months ago, I owned zero FLEX tools. Today, I own 7. Love them all!
I got the MAKITA anti vibration multi tool, it was huge at first but I love the tool now because you could work all day with it and you barely feel any vibration from the tool
Someone let me test that took out last year shortly after I bought the m18 fuel model, I was amazed at the upgrade in vibration levels and sound levels.
I can't wait for Makita to release an XGT version.
loved the video and answered all my questions about the tool. Thank you for posting it. I check everyday for your all your new Flex videos no joke.
That's awesome Bill. Going to have a lot more on the way 👊
Just bought one earlier today and used it for about 3 hours, MUCH less vibration than I expected from my old corded one. This things got some power too.
Really appreciate the feedback studio 👊
Old colored one? Damn that sounds racist! Lol
I bought a DeWalt oscillating tool about a year ago because the blade changeout method was a simple spring loaded lever, not an annoying hex wrench method of changing blades. What a PITA! The DeWalt was a major step-up. This Flex is next level. DeWalt will become backup, Rockwell backup to backup, Festool step up!
Those diablo blades serious
It’s. Got. A. Freaking. Fence. Being a Milwaukee fan boy, I’m trying not to get excited about the flex, but DO YOU KNOW HOW COOL THAT IS?!?! I just did some drywall repair this weekend and that would’ve saved me some extra mud. 😂 I’m a woodworker not a drywall guy, so don’t judge me lol.
🤣🤣🤣👊 Griffin
That depth guide is slick. I can see that bring useful. Like you said, the price is a definite downside the regular blades are expensive enough.
That's the one issue with the blades Rob 👊👊👊
Nice one! Thanks.
I love that tool !!!!
If I did not have the Fein 500 multi master and the Fein 300 12Volt, I would absolutely buy the Flex. If you look at the Flex design, it must be contracted through Fein. Because it is a copy of the current production Fein 500. Just as a side note. Current production Fein now uses Bosch Pro Core batteries 🔋.
Love the video. Thank you much !!!!
Does the Fein have LEDs? I need LEDs :)
(I have the Kobalt oscillating tool which is made by the same people who make Flex. Low vibration but not StarLock)
I attest to it! It is really the best one! The very best multitool
I Love that tool ❤
Yall have a great weekend brother. Those Diablo starlock 👌. Oh….that flex….. well…… it was pretty FN Nassss Like🪓🔥🪓🔥
Mine just arrived today from Acme. I agree on the Nas Like rating! Battery charger is definitely faster too.
Awesomeness 👊
I have the corded Fein, and the blades constantly moved and the vibration is unbearable. I now use the Milwaukee M18, but the vibration is unbearable. This is something I definitely must look into. Thanks, Clint.
The M12 fuel is much nicer than the M18.
Less vibration and just as much power.
@@yorselrus1996 👍
He probably didn’t have the Fuel version. That version vibrates much less than the regular M18 version.
Clint sure loves the vibration settings.....
👊👊👊
Damn it Clint! I'm in the DeWalt platform and I'm seriously thinking of switching to the flex! Great vid, thanks!
I did and couldn’t be happier
We just up there protecting ya my friend!!
Txvet 👊👊👊
I don't own this model, but what I have encountered with the cordless versions, more silent, not heavy on battery life and less vibration on one's hands, as for starlock well it is expensive, but the blades are more robust. Starlock was introduced to resolve the ability for multitools that can house them for longer and stronger / heavier blades without damaging the connection points on multitools. As for the quick change I don't regard it as a advantage over a hex key system, because when I use these I take my time regarding correct fitting of the blade. I have had one non Starlock blade fail, don't underestimate the velocity at what these blades can travel. So you are not going to see stronger models because a blade fail with flying part of a blade. This Flex model is impressive with it's depth guides.
I have the DeWalt Multi-tool and I've had it for years. I love it and wouldn't change. The Flex looks good, but to change battery platforms would be ridiculous for me at this point.
Are they shipping these with the stacked lithium? All the Lowe’s around me are showing the kits with 2.5ah standard battery.
Cool Clint reminds me of the Makita one that came out last year
Watch out for that Gnome brother
@@ToolReviewZone lol 🤭Clint
Not sure about other makes, but my dewalt oscilator came with a similar depth stop/guide. Plus i do prefer the trigger actuated design of the dewalt as well. I havent used the flex, but i have used mikwaukees version with the swith activated deaign and i dont really like it.
I used to use dewalt everything. I only use their table saw now. Flex is much better for what I do. I work on very demanding projects I need the power amd my tools to be a little tougher
I've been seriously considering flex to start my tool repertoire, but I'm worried about the heat. I've seen a lot of flex tool videos and when they are used consistently they overheat. What's your experience?
Ive use them down in the south everyday for a little over a year and have zero complaints. They blow dewalt out of the water. The only real downside to flex is they are limited on the amount of tools they offer but that will improve over time
I think it's just that gimmicky Turbo s*** as long as you lay off the Turbo. It'll be fine.
I haven't had any issues. That said, they have a lifetime warranty if you uy in 2023, so it's all good
can you do a tool duel, between that one vs festool or fein, cause i like to see them head to head👍👍
The highest setting has created enough smoke and char for me, the turbo doesn't seem necessary ;)
Newcomer? Flex was founded 1922, actually in Germany they are so common that every Angle Grinder is called Flex. As a Kid i didn't know that Flex Is a Brand, i thougt this Tools Name is Flex.
It’s complicated. Flex was bought by Chervon in 2013.
I think that the higher end red Flex tools are jointly designed by Flex and Chervon. But the USA gray ones look like they have nothing in common with the older red Flex tools.
I remember when you HATED flex, now I see that it's really made you smile :)
Yes, I was was not a fan at all. They are legit though 👊
@@ToolReviewZone I just want them to match the big boys when it involves numbers
If they had the SAME amount of tools like Milwaukee. Major competitor PLUS that battery technology
The Flex tools seem to be on point... but I'm so invested in the Ryobi battery platform... any chance of a percentage buy-back kind of promo? (please, make me buy your batt-rays)
dewalts the industry standard.... oh yeah?.... come at me bro. SFMF
Flex is made by Chervon, which makes Ego and Skil. The Skil PWRCore 12 and 20 multitools, like the Flex, have almost no vibration.
Devon also made by them
i like flex , but that grey black color scheme need to go ! something a bit more brighter ... more neon green! i want my tool easy to spot in low light conditions!
🤣🤣🤣
Flexing with flex put those arms away lol great review
Come on 111, I got my arms permit 🤣🤣👊
it's nice , but once you use dewalt quick change system nothing else will do
Plus the trigger is way better than a switch and you can lock it on if you don't want to hold the trigger
Was that an Am scale when changing speeds?🎸😳🎸😳
😎😎😎👊
Tell about the track saw Ridgid finally
Ridgid won't let me make the video yet
@@ToolReviewZone embargo, I thought so, thanks for the answer, we will look forward to it
Wish the multi tool blades in general weren’t so damn expensive?!? $30 something for a carbide blade?!?
You have to try fein
I'm still waiting on the ridgid track saw review lol
Yeahme too. Ridgid won't let me put
it out yet
Everyone was being a bully to Flex for being the new kid on the block. It's easy to fall for yellow and red brainwashing. Besides, it looks like you are being sponsored by them 👏👍😄
So TRZ, would you say Flex is what’s next then?
Once they get a miter and table saw, it's off to the races brother
Not sure the Makita gnome would agree. I think it’s time to patch things up with the little fella and bring him back to the channel :)
Dewalt will always win the blade change competition
Dewalt definitely designed an awesome multitool
Where are FLEX tools made?
China. They are developed and produced in China.

Clint ❤’s Wearing his tank tops so he can show he’s Flexing his muscles while using the Flex tools. My wallet doesn’t have the Flex money, it’s flat because prices keep going up, I guess it’s deflated because of inflation. Clint Keep’m coming
Hahaha, I mean... I have to Flex when using Flex 🤣🤣😎👊
Skill has same feature
Haven't used the skil
You didn't like Flex because you are not gay. At least...you were not...what is it you are really trying to tell us with al of these Flex tools, Clint?
Haha...I see one thing that every multi too maker on earth needs to adopt. Some other brand does it too, although I cannot remember who. But outside of those two, no one else does it. I have a DeWey, and DeWey doesn't do it...but it is just common sense for this particular tool.
WHY doesn't everyone mount the battery sideways on these? When you look at that tool in your hand, that is the only way it makes any SENSE to mount the battery. So, hand salute on that.
Just remove the number five and write Turbo instead. Problem solved.
I mean... I could probably do that. Label maker ordered!
Try the dewalt 12v and craftsman 20v brushless they will change your mind and they're a lot lighter
Note: Starlock isn't Flex's idea 💡
Starlock was designed by Bosch and Fein.
@@lisaferrara8120 auto correct 😅

I hate starlock, its way overpriced. Its perfect for lazy and rich people
