@@beautybyydomteaches yeah.. I don’t mind paying at all. It was $97 but the info was not detailed enough and didn’t not take me on a beginning to end journey.
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for… 1) Did you apply the T18 and Dev 10 only on the bleached part or the entire wig? 2) How long did you leave on the toner? 3)Did you use a purple/blue shampoo afterwards? Thank you 🙏🏼
I’m glad you found it 🥰! Toner was applied to the entire head as the developer was 15 & wouldn’t lift the rest of the hair only tone the light bits. Toner I usually leave on anywhere from 10-15 minutes but I watch it to see when it’s begins to look slightly purple & that’s when I rinse. The toner does the job a blue shampoo would do but permanently so there was no need to follow up with it . The main thing with this unit is getting the hair lifted high enough, if you’ve done that you should have a pretty icy ashy blonde 🥰
Love this video! If I want to achieve the same color on 613 bundles that I plan to sew into a wig is there a way I can achieve this color with just toner and developer? Would I still use the t18 with 10 developer?
You can use a warmer toner &/or don’t lift the hair as high . I used a purple based toner so it going to cancel out majority of the warm yellow tones .
@@beautybyydomteachesthank you. What brand would you recommend, I’m from the UK and I haven’t seen much variety in our shops. Also is it fine to use 30 VOL on the raw 1B hair ? X
@@mydei12345for lifting the hair to blonde if the hair is raw there is no reason to use higher than a 20 vol anything more just causes unwanted stress on the hair
So when using a 10 vol developer for the toner it doesn’t change the natural black color to brown? That’s the issue I was having but I think I used 30 v developer & the base turned brown but I wanted to keep the darker base with bright highlights??
Yes exactly! The thing with developer is the higher the number the faster it will process & the higher it can lift. For toners usually I don’t go over a 20 vol anything over that also can cause unnecessary damage if left on for too long or if anything make the hair dry.
I have a question!! When you’re washing the hair and using the wells t18 toner, are you using the wella 10 developer when you wash the hair as well at the same time? I’m a bit confused and want to get this right lol. Help! Help! Great tutorial! This is perfection.
So after I remove the foils I rinse out the bleach & wash with a shampoo , then while the hair is wet ( I do wring it out a bit first) I mix the toner & developer & apply it to the hair, after it has sat for like 15-20 minutes I do a full wash & conditioner
Do you mean like processing it , rinsing it & applying bleach to the same area ? If so I don’t recommend that , if I want the hair to bleach lighter I do one or two things or both. Leave the mixture on for longer or up my developer level. Double bleaching is a great way to damage the hair, if I am to double bleach I don’t do it in one sitting, I would split it up & treat the hair between to maintain the integrity
Awesome tutorial! What there a specific kind of comb you used or it doesn’t matter? Also can this technique be used when doing lowlights on blonde wigs?
It was a teasing comb & I wouldn’t say it’s 100% mandatory but it def makes things easier . & yes you can do this same technique for the lowlights I would just take a little more caution when applying the colour because you need to make sure it’s fully saturated & the colour doesn’t bleed
Yes! However always think about placement when you do that so the colour lines up seamlessly. If you want certain colour patterns it may be easier to do once it’s made
30 vol I would not use when initially lifting the hair as it will definitely lift it way too fast & this could damage the hair , I would stay in the 7-20 vol range . However since you have both you can mix equal parts of the 7 & 30 to get near 20 vol (18.5 vol) . 7+30=37 /2= 18.5 .

Hi, I’m a new subscriber and just want to say WOW! I can’t believed you shared such a beautifully detailed coloring video and thoroughly explained and even take time to answer all your subscribers that’s amazing! Im actually going to follow all your socials because your character is amazing. I also graduated cosmetology school and this is amazing content that I fully could understand a grasp. I have a question I hope you could help me. I’ve asked this question in school and nobody has been able to help. I wanted to know how do you darken your base without affecting your highlights. I’m assuming it’s better to use a semi when dealing with natural hair but when coloring a wig for a client I almost always use permanent color due to the fact that they wash their wigs and I don’t want the colors to fade quickly. I’ve dyed my base jet black after highlighting my wig and it turned my highlights a slight green color. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I tried avoiding the color from running but it didn’t work. It still affected my highlight color.
Hey love thanks so much I appreciate it! For the base usually for me I like a dark brown base that blends with the hair . For wigs specifically you can always add the coloured hair after with bundles if you want a super dark base (jet black) or just do a root smudge for a deeper root area. For the green though you can cancel that out with something red based (shampoo or light toner) since it’s opposite green on the colour wheel .
Yes the higher the volume the quicker the lift but also the more damage you will have. Bleaching of any type causes damage but using a higher developer causes more stress to the strands. With this type of style you shouldn’t have to go up to 20 at the beginning but I do sometimes switch midway through so that all the hair is done at the same time if that makes sense
I don’t have a set time because it depends on how fast the hair processes it can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 1+ hrs depending on the hair & also how much it can handle
Yes I use both to create a different level . For developer if you use an equal measure of two you take the volume of both add them together then divide them by 2 you get the new volume if that makes sense
This is really beautiful. Can you do a layering and curling tutorial?

Hi , I absolutely love this . Did you apply the toner to the entire hair or only the parts that you highlighted.
The whole thing! Since the developer is low it won’t lift the other hair

Yes basically the same since it’s all blond hair , only thing is 613 is usually more porous so it may colour faster than usual.
This is perfect. Im about to do this on a topper. In the back, did you skip a track in between the teased highlights? ❤
Glad you enjoyed! & nope in between the weaved & teased I do one thin slice with just a bit of teasing no weave 🥰

Whatever works for you is fine ! So long as it gives you the lift (9 levels) & doesn’t deteriorate that hair .

I LOVE the way this hair turned out!! I know you said to do a bleach bath if you want a lighter base but what is a bleach bath?
It’s essentially mixing bleach , developer & hot water in a basin to lift the base colour of a wig quickly & evenly. I can do a video on it soon 🥰

Question? Do you mix the toner with the bleach powder? Or add it after?
No toner is an after step . Bleach powder is mixed with developer which is the cream looking liquid . Toner is also mixed with its own developer .🥰
How many sections do you part for the money piece? Do you also weave that part
I do about 1-3 depending on how much hair I put in the section. You just want it to be very thin sections so they process better
How long do you let the dye stay on to achieve the color?
I don’t have a set time because it depends on how fast the hair processes it can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 1+ hrs depending on the hair & also how much it can handle
You just have to check it to see how high it’s lifted & if you can continue to lift it without damaging the hair
