- Today we are going to show you how to make Campfire French Toast! We recently took a trip camping, and one of our favorite things to do while camping is cook food over the fire! So we thought it would be fun to film an episode while camping! We decided to try making campfire french toast! It turned out pretty good!

As much of a pain in the ass it would be. I would dip each slice in the egg batter & line them up in the foil boat. That way you'd be sure each slice gets coated. Then pour any left over egg over the loaf. I also use nutmeg & vanilla along with cinnamon in my egg batter for French toast. More flavor! Great, now I want some French toast.
Really woudn't be that hard to do at all. And the best part about cooking, is you can modify it any way you want!
Donna Caron I was thinking the same thing about dipping each slice of bread in order to get a full coverage. But like Jess said it was their first time to try it. Good tips on all that you said here.👍😀

Maybe do this with Texas Toast, its thick enough to roll in the mixture and then stand up again. Also, you might try making a compote, you can do that at home and then use it for tons of things, like for toast or pies! I'm making myself hungry now, lol!

should have filled it up more with egg mixture or half way at 20 min flips it so the other mix runs down so it soaks the other half
The best part about cooking, is you can always modify it anyway you want! Once we sliced it all up together and put syrup on it, it was delicious!

I love the girls. make me miss our 2 red ones. gosh where they the funniest just like your girls. You could probably dip each piece of bread into the mixture, get one of those big skillets and just place them in there. That way you can flip them and each piece will have an even coating.
Good job though! This looks like a fun idea. I love when Greg put in more cinnamon. 😂

My favorite bread ya'll are using Wonder bread but to make the best french toast is Sara Lee Artesano. My grown kids wanted me to make french toast by hinting remember when Mom you made it for us when we were little lol. Well I couldn't find Texas toast and seen this brand that looked thick enough and it made the best french toast I have ever had. Aww Shelby wants french toast.

I was just wondering if you waz to chop up the bread first do u think it would work a little better? It looked yummy but maybe that way more of the egg would get on the bread. Love Oakley's face when she woke up.

@GothicKittyMadness They look way more healthy and better than all the hollywood minnies. Those are not the standard. Thank goodness Jess is normal weigth and looks good. Btw they go hiking a lot and work out with their dogs.
