I've been stuck in Diamond III for months, going up and down in Divisions with no sight of pushing out. After being thoroughly annoyed, I found this video while looking for any guides or advice to improve. I swear on my life after watching this I went on a seven game win streak and broke into Champ I. 10/10 on the vid. Liked and subbed. Another issue I'm having in d3 is my own consistency lol. About every third or fourth game, I'm that bad teammate struggling to adapt to my tm8.
Damn right !!! Having the same problem .... Adapting to different playstyles seems to be the problem for me, like not just adapting to the opponents, but adapting to my own teammates.

Great job I was high in diamond and I was playing more selfishly and doing power shots. I've been low on diamond because I have been passing to teammates which isn't too reliable like you said.
No bullsh1t, no superficial informations straight to the point spitting facts stuck d3 for days right now, im warming up in 1s & ranking up in 2s, and I found most of the tips u recommand, we learn them the hard way in 1s (fake, not over comitting, learn flicks instead of ceiling shots, punish opponent overcomit) Thanks for the video +1 sub
these tips have gotten me from plat to diamond 3! One thing I still struggle with is defending in 1v1s where the opponents rarely jumps and just takes all the boost to then demo me lol.
I don't think I've seen any other video talk about the boost pads as being 3 different paths. Most just cover the first one, but never the other two. Once again another quality video!

although consistent simple is very effective, as a very mechanical d1 myself, air dribbles and sometimes just sometimes cieling shots are effective in diamond
this actually helped me hit champ, and the first solo queue of champ i found a teammate who passes and is always consistent, i’m starting to love this game
One of the most underlooked tips is utilize space that you have. If your opponent gives you space, go for a flick instead of sending the ball away. With a good flick, 99% of the time it is an easy goal. (That also means don't send the ball away for no reason, use all the space that you have).
The only thing stopping you from being one of the best RUclips’s out there is not being a super high rank, hit GC3 or higher and I bet you’ll blow up, you’re content is amazing
ya know, the crazy thing is is that I was hard stuck in gold for like 3 seasons and somehow made plat, then plat2 and then 3. I just made diamond tonight in 2s and it feels like I just skipped past plat all together. I was just doing all the things you mention in this video and was pretty much in a zone. I had to really fight to get diamond but it's just surprising that I was able to get so far NOW. Idk, just riding the high of getting to a rank I thought I would never see. Great video, I'll be back again for a reminder of what I should be going if I get hard stuck again.

4:26 I often use the diagonal pad paths, but I never really thought about them as being used more often as 2nd man... 🤔interesting observation, I'll need to check what I do in my own games.👍
I am in RL since it came into EPIC - AND THIS IS THE BEST / TRUE / Advice I saw in many videos. \ It only misses one THING ! Wall Clear - If you get better on getting onto wall and clearing ball or blocking ball you get 50% chances to score on enemy.. and a lot of balls Fly around the walls in Diamond 3 ( EU ).
So, after I watched this, I knew why I was stuck in D2. The reason I was stuck was cause I tried to be the type of player that shows off, when as Calvin said, PLAY IT SIMPLE. I have improved so much with my dribbling and strategies from this video. Like and subbed.
In summary: play with your- i mean play solo practice flicks, accurate powershots and basic aerials focus on boost plays (and just something i wanna add) practice backboard defense

The playing simple advice is great. I love seeing someone flip-uber-nograsstouching-reset-tarding while in diamond or plat. It means they cant play at all, they just have that one move 😂

I can definitely work on playing more selfish, but playing 1s is gonna kill me lol Something I'd like to add that helped me is continuing to adjust my settings, especially camera angle and sensitivity. There were a lot of moves i knew how to make, but they were too slow in game. Turned up my sensitivity and adjusted the camera and i feel like Rock Lee when he dropped his weighted ankle braces. Fyi, i made champ in 2020 but took time off due to life. Returned to the game in '21 thru early '23 and started maining dropshot. I stopped playing when they removed that mode. it helped so much with aerial accuracy and reading bounces off the walls. I returned to RL last week, adjusted my settings, and i feel like champ is achievable again.
Sound advice. I've been in diamond for two seasons now I'm almost at champion and the biggest thing I can take from this video that I say is true besides the boost you really do have to let your teammate play and you pick up the pieces. I learned a long time ago to always expect them to give up the ball. So although I'm always prepared to chase the ball back I tended to be in position more often than not. Of course that gets way more complicated when you're playing 3s. Usually when I'm playing threes I have to play the supervisor. Cuz it's always going to be one person chasing the ball. I cannot get out of platinum in 3s😢

I think they're only effective in 3s or also 2s if your teammate is in comms. It's so easy for them to go terribly wrong
