    Just wondering if I order blue from one vendor would that be the same from a different vendor. Like crystal ab the same from one company to another

    • @mrscappscrafts
      @mrscappscrafts  2 года назад

      It might be the same but all the vendors we order from have different suppliers overseas so there is no guarantee! I would definitely recommend buying enough of 1 color for a project at one time so you dont have to worry about matching later if you run out!

    • @mrscappscrafts
      @mrscappscrafts  4 года назад

      @@Urmyseoulmate yes, it always good to sand and prep the cups before putting anything as it gives the glue and vinyl something rough to grip on to! Non hot fix stones are best for tumblers. They have no glue on the back, you have to apply them to glue. Hotfix stones have a heat activated adhesive which is good for fabric projects

    Just started my 1st tumbler. I have some questions. How much of the gemtac should be applied? A thin line, smush it around? Also, how long will it take to dry? How do i clean off stray glue and wax on the gems? Whats the best way to clean these tumblers?

    • @mrscappscrafts
      @mrscappscrafts  3 года назад

      I apply a bit and just spread it around to get a thin layer where i am working. enough for the stone to stick but not too much where it will spill over the top of the stone and be visible. I let them dry for a few days usually just to be safe. These are handwash only and don't use any abrasive scrubbers.

    Hi there!!! Just found your channel and I’m loving all the good information I’m getting!!! I’ve been wanting to make my daughter a bling cup. I watched your video and now know where to get supplies and the glue to use. I was wondering. How long does it take for the rhinestone cups to fully dry to be able to give to her?

    • @mrscappscrafts
      @mrscappscrafts  4 года назад

      I usually try to wait 48 hours after it has dried to the touch before using

    Morgan do you place the stones directly next to each other touching or do you leave a bit of space in between? It's just hard to tell because they are so sparkly. Lol

    • @mrscappscrafts
      @mrscappscrafts  4 года назад

      I place them as close as I can so I want them touching! My preference is to have as little background cup color showing as possible so I get them as close as possible!

      @@mrscappscrafts sorry to bug you again Morgan! I have one more question, I am seeing a lot of hotfix stones as I am shopping. Does it matter to use hotfix or non hotfix? I realise I'm not applying any heat, just glue. But some of the hotfix have a better selection of colors.

    • @mrscappscrafts
      @mrscappscrafts  4 года назад

      @@jameyjones5042 You can use hotfix but the main problem with that is you are using glue and overtime the glue can eat away at the glue backing on the stones and cause them to fall off. So I personally don't do it or recommend them but I have seen people have success with them. And no worries about the questions im here to help!

    I'm new at blinging. And I'm already obsessed. I was wondering if it is ok to bling tumblers that are already matte painted? Instead of painting silver tumblers. I have a few and would love to practice on.

      Yes you can just sand them to rough up the surface and go!

    Love your videos, I find them very informative!
    When prepping cups I see so many opinions. Some say just sand, some use the slick stick primer (which I think makes your cup white), some say paint, some say epoxy. What do you recommend?
    If you do paint do you prime under and do you sand it after the paint?
    And is your process the same for acrylic and stainless?
    I’m going to try my first cup.
    TIA

    • @mrscappscrafts
      @mrscappscrafts  4 года назад +1

      Yes my process is the same for stainless, acrylic, and plastic! I sand them all. I will spray paint only if i want a different base color but it is not required for me personally. Like i just did a silver one straight onto the clear acrylic since clear and silver are close. But im working on a leopard and base coated a tan/brown so it matched the stones better which is my preference but it is not required!

      No! lol When i buy a bag it usually contains 1440 stones so i just see how many bags i used and get a rough estimate at the amount used!
