    Okay! I love you for two reasons. I have seen these jewelry tags but thought somehow they were already bonded to the tumblers, so I thought the steel tumblers were branded that way lol SOOOO I will definitely order the tags. #2 the coaster hack! helps a lot and I will be doing this. SO much cheaper than ordering a device that helps with this problem. Thanks again

    Hi there! I just getting started into blinging tumblers and came across your videos! I’m already hooked! With the jewelry tags is it better to get the regular ones or the thin ones? Thank you so much for your awesome videos!

    • @southernblingtumblers
      @southernblingtumblers  3 года назад +2

      I get the bigger ones but will be ordering the thinner when I need to reorder. The bigger tag does stick out more but isn’t really a huge deal. If you want it more flush with your stones I would go with the thin. Thanks so much for watching ❤️

      You don’t want to epoxy your stones. It will take the sparkle right out of them. I use a rhinestone cup almost daily and it’s actually pretty easy to hold and not uncomfortable. Thanks so much for watching ❤️

    I was wondering if the rhinestones from Amazon were good for a very sparkly tumbler? I would use the Regular Crystal one. Some say Amazon stones aren’t any good, but there actually not inexpensive either.

    • @southernblingtumblers

      I used the ones from Amazon when I first started and didn’t have an issue. However, I highly recommend Diamondfire Rhinestones. She has amazing customer service and ships super fast!

    • @southernblingtumblers
      @southernblingtumblers  2 года назад

      Yes they are glass. I prefer the glass over the resin. Resin are great to practice with because they are more cost effective. If you’re wanting to dive right in I’d get glass. They sparkle more and the quality is better.

    Question: Do you epoxy over the finished tumbler??

    • @southernblingtumblers
      @southernblingtumblers  2 года назад +1

      You don’t. If you epoxy it will take away the sparkle. If you use the correct glue or epoxy adhesive to apply your stones with then you shouldn’t have any falling off.

    • @southernblingtumblers
      @southernblingtumblers  2 года назад +1

      Yes you always want to properly prep your tumbler. If you don’t the glue won’t have anything to adhere to and over time your stones will fall off.

    Is there a difference between the two glues you mentioned? Is there a need to sand the tumbler itself prior to starting?

    • @southernblingtumblers
      @southernblingtumblers  3 года назад +4

      I would definitely sand the tumbler beforehand. The glue needs something to adhere to or over time your stones can fall off. I love both glues and they are both great for rhinestones. I use fusion tack currently because I also do real Swarovski crystals. If you are only going to do rhinestones then either glue is great for that. I hope this helped ❤️

      @@southernblingtumblers thank you so much! It definitely did help. 🥰 LOOOVE how yours came out!
      Have you ever spray painted prior to applying rhinestones? Ive noticed some do it but always wondered how the paint itself would hold up since it’s not sealed with anything like epoxy

    • @southernblingtumblers
      @southernblingtumblers  3 года назад +1

      @@peachstraw89 I’ve only done vinyl. If you would like a color underneath than you can do so and then epoxy the entire cup before you place your rhinestones. As long as you sand your epoxy before you rhinestone the process will be the same.
