    You are a great performer, can you share the brand of Keytar you are using?

    Great work! Just a question: Do you use realguitar5 as programmed samples in your keytar? Or do you need your computer to generate the sound? Thanks for the clarification 👍

    Man you are a keytar playing fool. I was looking at the Strat but they've got combo deals so I wanted to see if I might get acoustic as well. I have musical ideas but at my age, my fingers don't do exactly what I want on a real guitar. Thanks for making the videos.

    Jeff, you are the man! At 5:00 in the video you do something that loses me, however. You talk of the Strings mode as if it is automatic and you never mention how in the software to achieve that ability. Those watching can turn to page 27 to see how to assign String Keys as a key switch. Perhaps it is in the mentioned Chapter 2 you were going to show this.

    • @KeytarJeff
      @KeytarJeff  4 года назад

      In this instance, i'm actually not using a key switch however. Please email me through my website, and i will send you the actual patch. And yes, the next video will cover this... Thanks SOOO much for commenting on this...

    Hi Jeff! I Was wondering if there is any way to use the "smack" sound without muting all the strings of the guitar. I am trying to play "more than words" and I need the "smack sound" but keeping the notes of the bass at the same time, as the original recording. I found that using a longer release time, it can make up a little bit this full mute of the strings, but it is not realistic enough yet.
    Greetings, you are the best!!

    • @KeytarJeff
      @KeytarJeff  7 лет назад +1

      Yes, 100% just assign the smack(s) to any key(s) except the mute keys::)

    The strumming still leaves a lot to be desired, as it's grossy simplified to simple motions, when strumming is an entire playing technique on it's own that can be used for both chords and single note stuff.

      Did you even watch the video? It's possible to switch to chords and melody mode easily with keyswitches. Watch at 3:04.

      Please consider this video is all about showing the features in a most basic form.There is REALLY a lot to grasp. Just posted a performance video where i exploit one and i stress just one aspect of the new playability. You are 100% correct that strumming is an amazing technique and quite frankly a lost art.Even for most guitarists. When you have a moment, do checkout the new video. ruclips.net/video/2JeuuMR5d5c/видео.html

    Excellent video. Maybe to a more sophisticated ear than mine this sounds less than realistic, but I'd call it very impressive indeed.

    So...really wanted to try this software out..borrowed a copy and spent 6 months with it. Sorry to say its not worth it. It has "Some" decent sounds but the acoustic stuff is um...questionable to say the least. Im sticking with my Integra 7. I really wanted this thing to work to but. ...fail. (glad i could borrow a copy first at least)

    Ved ikke hvorfor at Real Guitar ikke lytter til Strummed acoustic , og arbejder videre derfra . Mangler en Strummed A. nummer 3. Nummer 4 . nummer 5 . nummer 6 osv.
    :-).

    I like the video, but I don't like the guitar sound so much. My consideration is: we are far away from the true emulation of a real strumming guitar.

    well......in my honest opinion the guitar sounds like shit , it just sounds thin and fake as heck to me . I`ve heard much better guitar vst, its a shame . Also i dont like it when guitar vst`s almost make you have to learn to play the keyboard totally differently , I have all the amber ones and the stummer in there makes you do it too although it sounds a crap load better than this ,....thumbs down from me.....great vid though

    • @IndependentImages

      I think one of the reasons it doesn't sound great is because he's using the "Fingered Nylon Strings" which is probably the worst sounding setting out of all of them. "Picked Steel Strings" sound much better, as do the other settings"

    Absurd..

      I know that this comment is 2 years old, but your comment just made me actually kinda mad.
      What else could he do? IT'S A MIDI PLUGIN. How the hell would he control a midi plugin with anything else but a midi keyboard? Do you somehow know of a way to transform a guitar's sound into MIDI?
      What the hell is wrong with people....

    Not. Good interpretation, for new person it's not helpful.
    Next time when making video say clearly note by note.
