    Thanks for going through and stating and modeling each shot you take. I just passed my 107 exam 2 weeks ago and am looking into getting into this field. The reason I am checking out these videos is to get an idea of what shots would be good when doing real estate - and you made it clear and let me know. Thanks!

    Always have extra cards in your bag so you have one incase your card is full, or you forget it, or if it fails.

    Question. How did you keep line of sight? Being inside of the vehicle should be difficult.

    I just received my 107 FAA license in the mail this past week and my commercial drone that I will be using that I am getting familiar with before promoting heavy. My last name is well known here in parts of Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina with 5 star restaurants (18 in total) since 1948 (74 years and still going strong, and a large mechanic shop where my cousin works out of that's a local pro race car driver. Cousin that's a Real Estate agent and another real estate agency that is under the family's last name.
    I am not promoting big time just yet until I feel more comfortable and videos like yours does help. I placed a 46 second advertisement video up on RUclips to send over the clickable link when ready to agents everywhere and this week coming I will have a website out as well and I have a great video editor also.I Can't wait to start moving things along but with the last name already in these professional businesses, I am also cautious on marketing to hard at one time as well. I am not sure what part of Florida you are in, however I am out of the Tampa Bay area.

      That’s awesome! I hope it all goes well. Sounds like you have plenty of interesting opportunities to experiment and get some really good shots. I’m over in West Palm Beach - I’ve been meaning to visit Tampa for a while now.

      I’ve been serious with a fishing RUclips channel for about a year and a half and just starting to get into real estate photography. Thankfully I got experience with my drone and editing because of the RUclips stuff but your videos definitely help me learn how to do photos of homes.

    Looking and listening to Your experienced advice.
    Being an amateur i photographing with a year of drone flying experience an estate agent was contacted, and she was interested. She sold 2 properties for me and sold 2 properties to me. In other words, a good contact.
    You use still pictures. My idea, not being a real photographer, was fly around the property making live recordings from which still pictures can be cut out. Every angle will be there.
    4K 60 is available. For the Mini 3 PRO a wide angle lens is available. The Mavic 3 PRO, standard cameras.
    What's Your comment to my approach?

    • @Eloc626
      @Eloc626  8 месяцев назад +1

      So it’s not a bad idea at all and can definitely be useful depending on your goals. The issues I might see with that in my line of work is that even the most clear still frame from a 4K video is only equivalent to 8.3 megapixels. Where as regular stills with my Air 2S are 20 megapixels and even up to 48 megapixels on the Air 2.
      Additionally, taking stills from a video prevents you from taking bracketed shots which you need to create an HDR image. So at the end of the day, if you don’t need a super high quality still photo and have no intention of creating an HDR, I think it’s a great idea.

    I’m new to this DJI hobby and I would like to do get my part107 license at one point. I just ordered the mini 3 fly more combo didn’t wanted to spend a lot just because if these drones get banned I rather loose $650 instead of $900 to $1300 so is the mini 3 a good drone for a startup real estate photography. TIA

    • @Eloc626
      @Eloc626  5 месяцев назад

      Hi Mario, thanks for the question. The mini 3 is a more than capable drone. You can take fantastic pictures with it for real estate photography. It was probably a good move to save yourself a few hundred dollars just in case this DJI ban does happen after all.

    We were just asked to do a 450 acre farm (Realtor and Auctioneer aren't on the same page). Any tips on something that big? Trying to figure out how to get high enough (400 ft ceiling I know) to get the best shots of the land.

    • @Eloc626
      @Eloc626  Месяц назад +1

      That is super tough. Honestly the biggest area I’ve ever done is 15 acres. Sounds like your shoot is going to have to be more of a features-focused approach. Going to be most likely impossible to capture the whole property in the same shots.
      A fun idea you could look into though is something called Drone Deploy. Lets you autonomously build 3D maps of a structure/property. You draw the outline and the drone automatically flies a path and captures straight down images every so often and stitches them together for an interactive map. They have a free 2 week trial and it’s very fun to mess around with.

    My only comment is about your final photos. You seem to be using some HDR technic. It's nice to get some details on the shadows under a strong sun, but if you go too much, it makes the photos unnatural and flat

    • @Eloc626
      @Eloc626  3 месяца назад

      Agreed. In this video I was still outsourcing my edits to other people but I’ve since started doing them myself. I’ve noticed the editors I use sometimes return a very flat or gray image

    I have not spent any time checking the resolution of the different cameras in still pictures but I recognize the figure 48M for a camera or two.
    Flying and recording don't call for the same artistic taste that the engineer in me doesn't have....
    Living almost next door to the broker I can accept doing a second flight still picturing selected angles. A demo flight recording of the block I live will be made for free to see what response I get. She's been selling numerous of apartments here.

      Thanks! I was lucky enough to find an existing real estate photography company that had an infrastructure in place and has been marketing themselves for 15 years. They have a massive network of realtors they work with and set me up with appointments. I didn’t have much success building my own network before joining this company

    • @Eloc626
      @Eloc626  7 месяцев назад

      Yes, you could actually potentially take even better photos. I use bracketed photos which the mini 4 pro can take. I have mine set to 5 and then I blend them together with an app called photomatix - I’m sure there are free ones though.

    • @UpWithMyDrone
      @UpWithMyDrone 4 месяца назад

      I did see you explain it at the end of your video, but hard to imagine. I always fly from outside my vehicle to maintain line of site and have to move around a lot.

    • @Eloc626
      @Eloc626  3 месяца назад

      There may be times where the roof of the car technically blocks my visual but all I’d need to do is step out while remaining essentially in the same exact spot. I interpret that visual line of sight rule more so that you just need to be able to see the drone at a seconds notice if you needed to
