Yeah, whether or not you ever decide to go back and play through the Chalice Dungeons, know that they are relevant to the overall lore for the game. So much so that there are bosses in it tied to the story certain characters. You can almost think of it like the deeper down you go, into the labyrinths, the further back through time you go. You start seeing environments that represent periods of time that have long passed.
There’s even a boss that people will argue(to this day for some reason) isn’t Lawrence despite the fact that the game files say otherwise. Lol
Now, if you want to know something really fun and interesting. Early in development, Ebrietas was named Kos and she was the final boss before it was changed. So yeah. That boss is actually Kos before it changed to the DLC version of Kos.
In fact, a ton of the bosses were moved around and swapped names to the point it’s like a game of musical chairs and kept changing up until a year of two before release.
I love this game. It’s so good.

Oh wow that's really cool!!! I love that Ebrietas was nearly the final boss. There's so much about the development I'd love to know, I need to do some research.
The Chalice dungeons are a must now I think for me ✨✨

@@LilithixPlays yeah, there’s technically two different versions of Laurence in the game that are boss fights. Most people only count the DLC version as a Laurence fight.
FromSoftware games have some of the most fascinating development of any company. They tend to create so many cool ideas/content for one game, that they end up cutting it for whatever reason, only to end up using it anyway in either DLC or a different game altogether. They never really waste good ideas.
In fact, There was so much stuff cut out of Bloodborne that some of it made it’s way into Sekiro, Dark Souls 3, and Elden Ring because those games were in development roughly around the same time as Bloodborne.

@@LovelessDogg1 I'm really hoping at the Playstation showcase this week we get a good announcement for Bloodborne or something, I've seen a lot of rumours swirling round! I like that they don't waste any ideas and the DLC is amazing!
