- I was also surprised! In her rematch team and if you pick Turtwig, she got the exact same team as Dawn from the anime but evolved! Just like Red in HG/SS.

The fact that they put Dawn anime team in BD/SP if you pick Turtwig kinda remind me of Red's team in HG/SS that looks like Ash's Team especially with his Pikachu.

I like how in this game both Lucas and Dawn have much more Pokémon and actual teams. Unlike in the originals where they just had their starter, Clafairy, and Kadabra

All she needs is to say 'no need to worry' instead of 'no problem' at 7:58 and she would be perfect! Though I bet she says 'daijoubu' in the Japanese version of the game which makes me super happy. What a fun easter egg!

For anyone wondering “why the bellossom?” All of her teams have a grass/fire/water core consisting of 2 starters and 1 other mon. Bellossom is here simply for the sake of consistency, otherwise all of her teams would need an electric type (probably other Pikachu clones) to compensate for Pachirisu.

It would have been better that instead of Bellosom, it should have been Cherrim. If that happens, her team would have been a mixture of her anime and Pokemon Adventure counterpart.
Fun fact, her Infernape team has Sceptile and Ambipom. I feel like that team is a low-key reference to Ash. He had Sceptile, Infernape and at one point, he had Aipom

Ash’s Aipom was actually traded to Dawn which she evolved to Ambipom.

If you don't choose Turtwig, she has a completely different team. The anime reference only appears if you let her have Piplup.

I liked that BDSP Dawn isn’t a coordinator but a research assistant which is why her team is all fully evolved Pokemon. Which makes it super cool considering this Dawn would have Gym Badges and tried to battle with the elite 4

Since I don't have the switch and BDSP, I do have the original games, Pokemon Heartgold, my old DS, and my 3DS. With this information, I will start up a new pearl game using Dawn's team from this video. Of course, trading would be a bit complicated, but I think it would be worth trying. Wish me luck.

In order to make a grass fire water trio core, you would need a grass type as small and cute as pachirisu to still match anime canon in someway, and Bellossom fits that role perfectly, and let's be honest, for those of us who seen about the anime, it would be so like her to capture something like an oddish and evolve it all the way to Bellossom. Think of the Pokemon contests she could win with that on her team.

I just love the fact that you can challenge the NPC player character you didn't choose to a battle in the post game. That wasn't possible in the original games. I still can't believe Dawn or Lucas has a Milotic! I've been searching for one for years using the method for Diamond and Pearl and I never found one. Maybe it was due to my impatience.

I used to do that all the time when I was younger! I was make play all the Pokémon games and make my trainer on there the same as the ones in anime and from the Pokémon Adventures manga books! Catching and raising the same Pokémon they have, get them to have the same moves and I would get the same ribbons from the Pokémon contests on Pokémon Ruby for the same Pokémon that Ruby used in the manga, even got all the beauty ribbon for Feebas b4 I managed to evolve it! Even nicknamed all the Pokémon to match the names from the manga! It was hard work, but so much fun!
I'm making Dawn's team in Brilliant Diamond now. Fully evolved team. I only need Typhlosion and it will happen soon 💕💖💕

I love how Dawn's team from the anime is actually strong and balanced for battles, esp if she were to evolve her piplup, buneary and quilava. While it is understandable for her to stick her role as a coordinator in the anime, I still love how BDSP gave some easter eggs for players to find out

For every aspect of this game where the ball is unfortunately dropped, there's another neat little feature like this to pick it back up and remind you that the "lazy cash grab" argument is not as set in stone as the Internet would have you believe :)

They want the assitsnt team consist mostly of pokemon the evolve outside of merely raising level (taming, stone, level) since Pachirisu didnt have that, it was replaced with bellosom.
