I like how everyone back then was so afraid of garchomp even though back then spiritomb didnt have any weaknesses and it was the first pokemon that cynthia sends out in battle
I was mostly afraid of spiritomb instead of garchomp.
True it had no weaknesses however it also had no health and negative speed, your pokemon is most probably gonna go first and as long as you don't use a move it's immune to you'll probably kill it in one or two hits, so it being her first Pokémon is more a determent than a perk really.
just use one of the elements like fire and all of it, mostly do dmg to spiritomb
Yeah my underleveled glaceon just 1 hit KO her garchomp with no problems while the spiritomb seemed immortal 💀
I was afraid of her lucario and her flower thing. I had more trouble with them then garchomp. Dialga took care of him real quick.
I just had Houndoom barbecue it with Flamethrower.
And Garchomp? One word: Avalanche.

The whole "summon a random Bidoof to take care of your HM nonsense" mechanic is honestly a godsend especially in Gen 4 where you're crazy dependent on HMs to advance through the game. The whole auto EXP Share on the other hand made the major battles a little too easy
But you gotta say that it's a lot better than normal grinding.
However, Cynthia is still extremely difficult
for me, i just raised two separate teams to get around the leveling issues (which was actually helpful because i ended up having A Selection for the elite four)

9:47 - 9:50 in Pokemon Masters, it's revealed that the three commanders actually enjoy being his tools (Cyrus literally uses the word "tools" when referring to them, to their faces, and they literally say "tools" when referring to themselves in their response). This revelation brings Cyrus to realize the error of his ways (his philosophy remains the same, but he realized that resetting the universe wasn't the way to fix it).
Yes, Pokemon Masters is canon, how else would you reasonably tell stories that involve and mainly focus on trainers from every game in the series. It's also revealed that the very first fight you see when you boot up Pokémon RB or FRLG is Professor Oak (Nidorino) versus Agatha (Gengar).
The events in Masters aren’t canon, however anything said specifically about characters are canon.
Basically if it pre-dates the character coming to Pasio, it’s canon.

And even then, that's something said YEARS after the creation of the original game, it isn't something that was thought of back then lmao

4:22 No, you're not unlucky. There was a mechanic in Sword and Shield that made wild pokemon above your level insanely hard to catch in an attempt to have players not catch overleveled pokemon. If this is still in BDSP than I think that's why you couldn't catch it. Also keep up the good work, these look awesome!
I haven't played a pokemon game in a long time but don't they already have a system so overleveled pokemon won't obey you? Why would it matter if you catch them?
@@wess1797 because that only applies to Pokémon from trades. Pokémon you catch will obey you no matter what
@@wess1797 this is separate from that, and additionally that only applies to traded pokemon. Pokemon caught by yourself will always obey.

Until you realize he raised a whole team of 5 Torterras and 1 Dialga, meaning that one Turtwig evolved into Torterra by the time he fought Maylene while the rest were still Turtwigs

The only things I remember about Sinnoh's E4 is that, the Fire Trainer only has 2 fire types in his party. An Infernape and a Rapidash. For whatever reason Gen4 didn't have a lot of Fire types.
Right if you don't pick Chimchar you better be happy with Rapidash. I don't think you can even get Magmortar until postgame :/
You can Only get magmortar by spending 5 hours in the underground until you find a magby carrying the evolution item

As i know in Platinum you can get an eevee After you beat the Ghost Gym leader so TECNICALLY you can get a flareon if you find a fire stone, but in BDSP it's impossible getting an eevee without beating blond woman so...

5:47 funny thing is that I didn’t struggle against her Lucario because I was over leveled and chose chimpchar but instead I struggled against Cynthia’s Lucario which in my opinion is far more than her garchomp was in the original game.

The thing abt catching pokemon in gen 8 is, if you're under the level of the wild pokemon, they become Exponentially harder to catch, it's that way in SW/SH too.

You forgot to mention, Cyrus angrily challenges you after the Lake Trio release Dialga.
And you have to challenge Dialga without healing.
(Usually isn’t a problem, if you don’t mind using your masterball)
In the original gen 4 games Dialga and Palkia also had a catch rate of 30, so you could just chuck a normal pokeball at it and have a ~4.3% chance of catching it at full hp with a normal pokeball.
Seeing this, I think Generation 5 would be cool. Especially BW2.
But, you know... since the stories are connected, both in one would be even better in my opinion.

funny story on how i beat Cynthia: in BDSP, i forgot to heal before Cynthia for the 1st time... but since my mew was extremely bulky, the gastrodon did nothing to it, leaving me time to max revive/full restore my team. soon after, that darn garchomp was sent out. it dragon clawed my palkia, leaving it almost at red, but luckily my spatial rend got the crit, ending the battle
