I wish I could give Mr. Godfrey a hug. She didn’t have to die alone in the dark. Bless him.
Same here. I like to think that she took comfort in her last moments knowing that someone was trying to help her.
I'm glad he was with her in her last moments
SOooo, SAAaaadddddddd
Thought the same 😢
Right?! What a dear man. 💐
This girl went to my school, I had just started at Dartford Grammar when this all happened. Poor Claire. Horrific.
RIP
That makes you a suspect.
Mr Godfrey feels awful that he couldn't save her. But he was the reason she didn't die alone. I hope he knows that he made as much of a difference in her life as he could and as she needed at the time. I hope he knows.
Bless him.
That is wonderfully kind of you to say. Bless you
I lived in Dartford for a year and that's all I could stand. Police raids on an almost weekly basis in our street, a car being stolen right in front of me, sofas being dumped in the middle of the road... Horrible place to live...I wouldn't go back to live there even if they paid me.
How long ago was that? Just curious if it's still like that
The area looks so different in the day vs. the night. I can understand why she walked even though dark. It's sad that someone you know would do something like this. This is relevant anywhere in the world.
An amazing Documentary that shows what humanity is, I cried and smiled. I hope David lives a happy life, and the men who helped free him.
Thank you RTC for the upload.
Watching from NSW Australia.
I feel for this man who tried to save this young girl named Clair .Though as much as he was helping her as his breath entered her lungs it escaped due to the 9 stab wounds she had received from her attacker. No teenager should ever have to endure & suffer the way she did.
His dad flipping is the bird felt so random and ... funny! Carry on 🤘🏻
He tried so hard to save her.😭
Thanks for sharing
The parents did not want anyone to know their son was out stabbing people......that makes perfect sense to me.
I would of done the same if it was my child.
@Victoria so you wouldn't defend your child ??
Adam John31 I wouldn’t defend my child if they were killing people for no reason. I wouldn’t let innocent people keep getting murdered, cause I covered up for him. I’d report them myself. I wouldn’t ever be or the side or evil no matter if it was my child or not.
@@michellepaul8514 exactly because they weren't defending him. They were enabling him.
Ker Ker's Groove Probably they bought him violent video games. There seems to be an increase in violence by the young , and I’m certain that the games contribute. Helping him to avoid taking responsibility for his actions is bad parenting.
Sad that psychopaths are unrecognisable visually...
It amazes me that the same people come back to these episodes each time one airs, watch the whole thing, then pour out criticism. Couldn't they just watch something else? They must know the format, yet they elect to watch. What is it with this?
I don't think this programe needs a line here & there from the lady driving her car. Don't get why she is needed
I agree completely. Also , it says she is a Happy Valley actress but I don't think she ever was. She was in Corrie. Sarah Lancaster was in Happy Valley. Talking and giving deep, supposedly meaningful glares into camera while driving is also not really very safe. She could be done for dangerous driving. Maybe that is why in the second series she is walking down a street.
@@patwicksted7114 Her strutting down the street in high heels was weird too😂😂
She was in Happy Valley
She gives the background to the case. Most crime programmes just use a narrator....I suppose they wanted to do things differently. I would rather this than those ridiculous psychologists who tell us what we already know!
@Megan B Oh my goodness what a very hostile remark. Talking into a camera while driving is not a safe thing to do. I should have said that Sarah Lancaster was the LEAD Actress in Happy Valley. My mistake.
The killer, as well as his parents, all look like characters from The Lord of the Rings. That alone should have been a warning signal.
part of the local satanic coven
The devastation this POS left behind is gut wrenching. He affected so many lives in the worst possible way.
Death penalty needs to be brought back poor girls R.I.P 😓😓😓😓
I will agree with you on that one.
ANNA B I agree. An eye for an eye.
too sad
I live in the area and drove passed 10 mins before it happened, every time i drive passed i remember her and that day.
Why didn't you prevent it?? Or drive back a few miles to help??
32:14 *THE FACE OF EVIL PERSONIFIED*
His parents should be jailed for giving him a false alibi!
Colin Ash Smith looks like something is missing in his brain. Like not altogether there.
His brain misses the part which is responsible for feelings like empathy, sympathy, kindness, humanity,
Don't 3 life sentences in the UK, ACTUALLY mean about... 10 years?
What's the point of repeating the way she was found? it's unnecessary! For the trauma's so vivid to even re-heard it. Don't be cruel.
This case was awful, chilling, sad, and compelling all on its own, requiring none of the affectations and contrivances of this production which were supposed to amp up the drama. Enduring the theatrics was a feat.....but I did finish it, exhausting as it was. The perpetually driving reporter was a bit ridiculous. Sigh. Okay, I'm happy I got that out. Anyway, poor victims. Poor family. Poor loved ones. I hate that this psychopath killer is being taken care of every single day with food and warmth and every need met for the remainder of his life. That, in my mind, is not justice.
I wish this show would get rid of Katherine Kelly. She's tacked on and offers no insight or benefit. Unless you're a fan of over enunciation and whistling S's.
Dont watch it then you rat.
She's not that bad unless you have a personal vendetta against her then be kind. She's just human like you trying to get by doing her bit in life.
@@Bountylicious she is ok and at least not a yank. Something to be grateful for eh?
@@fionagregory8078 😂 hahaha True
So many of the [you] commenters are jealous of her. So ridiculous.
You seem to blame her as if it is her fault she was born gorgeous
and then learned such a flawless beautiful RP delivery, and also has
charisma. Give credit where it is due.
i like this show a lot but why does the host just drive around while narrarting? hahaha i kept waiting for her to park.
Napper
Whoever produced the intro has been watching a lil too much true detective.
Just way to long this can be easily be a 15 min clip. Very tragic event. Hope that city is a lot safer now.
CPR with a person have lost somuch blood. Treat first the blood lost and if breathing stop perform CPR.
Not sure he could done much in this situation.
Not until injuries become apparent there in the darkness;time is ticking by every second.
It would be almost impossible to stop a bleed out from deep puncture wounds.
You’d die very quickly .
It’s all very time related ..
love it
Why keep diary fool. Come here in the Philippines no diary you die easy here
Criminals with twisted sick minds love to read and go through the dark sick feelings and re live those horrible moments again and again .... It gives them a high. 👽👽👽👽👽
Vanity!!!!
That poor man that found her is so incredibly traumatized.
Terrible experience, so shocking. Poor girl who died too.
What a great man to put himself through this. He deserves nothing but peace. I bet Claire would thank him greatly for just doing what he did.
Wow thiss man who tried to help her is such an amazing human being as all of use should be, if she saw him trying to help her I bet it gave her so much comfort. he really gave her comfort warmth before she died if this man reads my comment just remember this you gave her what her family wished for , human understanding and human comfort, she didnt die alone, your amazing person...excuse my awful English ...
Your heart is very kind to think, feel and say this. Bless you
The man in the beginning Michael Godfrey tried his best to save the girl Claire Tiltman. And still years later you can see this effected him greatly. He tried and that is all one can do in a situation like that. I myself have never been in a situation like that and I hope I never will have to deal with something like this. R.I.P Claire Tiltman.
My heart breaks for Mr. Godfrey 6 minutes into the film. It's hard to live knowing you are witnessing life being drawn out of someone and you cannot do anything about it.
I feel horrible for the man who found her and couldn't save her. My heart goes out to him 💔
Jennifer Jill Same... and he has to live with that the rest of his life, when he said that my heart broke.
Jennifer Jill I completely agree with you, what a devastating thing to be witness to, and be unable to help!
She was obviously savagely murdered.
I hope he got the help he needed , poor man
I agree!
So awful you see and hear his pain ❤❤❤❤
Mr.Godfrey was meant to be there for Claire. I am so glad he was there for her in her last moments. Such a short time on this earth she had 😥.
Poor girl and poor man who found her .I would wish for him , that he is getting peace in his mind .
Makes me wonder how many cars drove by before he pulled over to help...
maggaphantus I unfortunately drove passed that alley 10 mins before the man found her at the side of the road, if i only looked up that alley and saw something, to this day when i drive past the alley i always look up it.
@@horyzengaming3935 aww you couldn't have known. Of course as humans we should be vigilant of our surroundings as we never know when we could be imminently in danger or see someone in need of help.
In today's society 95% of people wouldn't stop to help ANYONE. Everyone is selfish and worried about themselves and themselves ONLY
@@jessicaj8564 I agree with you but alot of ppl are out to hurt ppl and act as if they are dying or need help. But sometimes ppl would be scared to stop and help. I would atleast call the police and report what I seen.
@@jessicaj8564 no
Not everyone is selfish
thank you, that sweet man, he tried to save the poor child.
A very moving account.
Michael - please be consoled that you did all you could!
He had me in tears. He just wanted to save her 🥺💔
Michael has such a beautiful soul.
How can he be "unlikely" to ever come out of prison. Someone who did what he did in such a short time as well, the community should be told by the judge he will NEVER get out of prison, he will die there.
Mummy was the mayor and daddy was a councillor....yeah real community-minded people, knowing they are protecting a psychopath, shows true guilt!!!
That kind man who was with her in her final hours, you did what you could and at least she was not alone when she died and you stopped and tried to help her unlike others who just drove off.
😢
I hope the poor girl had a degree of comfort when the guy held her hand- so sad.
I knew there just had to be some people with a heart out there somewhere .and here he is.
So heartbreaking but Im glad justice was served. Here in Canada our justice system is joke. Jamie Bacon killed 6 (surrey six murders) people, two of whom were innocent bystanders (4 gang members). He was caught 13 years ago and only just stood trial this year and was sentenced to 18 years. He'll be out in 5 because hes already served 13... absolutely disgusting, no justice. May Claire and her family find peace at last.
Why didn't the police ask his mother to provide the name of the constituent she was supposedly visiting that night and get them to confirm if he was with her? So glad they didn't use the "wrong place, wrong time" phrase, I loathe that expression so much.
I think they may have asked that person as the alibi didn't check out.
The guy that found her -- that poor man was traumatized. PTSD. I feel so bad for him and her family.
"He never went out unless he was carrying a knife" well hey, there's a clue. Someone knew that and couldn't be bothered to tell police. WTF~
I don’t leave the house without a gun...unless I have had a drink or two. So?
A really well made series, and especially sympathetic to the victims and families
The pain from the man who couldn't save her life is palpable. I hope he gets given thanks by her family and friends because not every stranger cares this much.
What a wonderful soul Michael is, you can see how deep an impact this had on him. He held her hand and she didn’t have to die alone on the side of a dark street. I can imagine that meant a lot to the family.
He is the killer and got away with it! Michel has everyone fooled
We live in a sick sick world.
Them parents need to be charged too for protecting him all these years! Yes they’re the pillars of the community always the case w psychopaths and sociopaths make like we’re sane hyper involved and care while robbing the community blind or in this case cloaking for your wayward son hoping no one would notice?? . That’s complicit assessors to all his crimes. Guess since they lost their son they were lenient to them protecting him.
Yet, neighbors and friend wouldn't hesitate to vouch for the killer and his family without actually knowing anything about what really happens behind closed doors and in the minds of people.
Even Ted Bundy's mother couldn't believe he was a serial killer. I personally knew Jeffrey Dahmer, if asked I wouldn't professed to know what was on in his mind when I knew him. My report him would have bee cautious.
1969Vanessa G well stated!! Parents complete oblivion aka denial. Some don’t have the stomach for truth and rather lie.... to themselves.
They may have been pillars of the community, but failures as parents since they condoned their son's crimes after the truth came out.
I wonder if she will ever get to where ever it is she’s driving to? She’s been driving since episode one
Why is the narrator driving around in a car? Random 😅
shes pathetic
I disagree, not pathetic. They’re conveying the sense of any ordinary random UK town that any of us could be driving about one night or morning and see what that poor chap discovered at the roadside.
Ikr it's dangerous reporting lol
@@sallyb1689 I like that, thanks for the explanation:)
@@sallyb1689 Thank you! Smh....."Pathetic" How?....The ignorance of some people!
whats with the drive-narrating
very sad together again rest in peace, clair mom and dad
It really starts at 1:45
You're welcome
The parents of the killer are they real criminals 😡
That pic of the killers mother pretty much says it all.
I listen and watch true crime when I clean :)
I've been watching a newer channel that's covering cases that are interesting called True Crime TV on RUclips. She's covered several cases that are new to me and that's saying a lot considering I've been a true crime fan for 30 year's. I would like to see her get more views. She's also considerate to the victims and their loved ones in her coverage.
I clean after I commit true crime.
Ok
Same!
It seems like a really lovely place to live.
Not only did he go to her funeral, he wore the same jacket he was wearing the night he killed her.
🤮
Perhaps he only owned one jacket. Don't criticize his wardrobe.
You young kids don't know who the host of the show is she's amazing actress she was in mr. Selfridge
If my son went out every night with a knife and I found it I would defo take it to the police in light of the murders., not get rid of it.
Sure you would have..... that's what Jeffrey Dahmer's father said too.
Gotta feel for the parents. They were left with nothing.
Hello, I am Katherine Kelly, my contribution to this show consists of driving toward an unspecified destination in a car and talking to myself while occasionally glancing at the camera, I never interview anyone, or otherwise interact in any way with another person throughout the episode
Gritos Incoherentes Dont be offended on my behalf...so what.
😂😂😂
Yeah pretty unnecessary. Could have used her salary and gotten a better producer than the one deciding to add in heavy fake breathing whilst that man remember the horrible night he tried to save the girl
You left out she talks to the camera from 3, different angles.😁
@@alliecattlopez537 🤣🤣🤣
Plot twist: the hostess has been responsible for 15 unsolved hit and run accidents while filming this series.
Your typing on this video is way too small to read. Interesting otherwise.
Yep, I was going to comment, but guessed that someone had beaten me to it.
Aesthetically pleasing but unreadable? Makes perfect sense, let's do it!
The man is truly heartbroken ❤️
Goes to show how people are supposed to be pillars of society..are really the least respectful.
So his parents knew he had a knife and probably knew a great deal more of his psych;yet did nothing about it.
This covert situation caused the death of a innocent girl and maybe more.
I don’t think you can successfully rehabilitate theses monsters of evil.
I love this series. Real people living and dying in horrific ways in our towns and cities. Rest in power Claire. Mom and Dad we KNOW we aren't meant to bury our kiddos. My heart goes out to all of u and your family and community.
I love this series as well..the woman at the start tho driving around in her car all the time regardless of where its up to on the " story " is now making me giggle..I can only imagine the job description.." Narrator wanted for a crime series sitting in the car talking to yourself and driving up and down the street lol
I am so glad they got her killer in the end, it is a pity her mother and father died before seeing the monster who callously murdered their daughter face justice.
Although I am against the death penalty, I prefer the US justice system where violent psychos
are not given a second chance. When the judges say "life", you know what it means and people
get justice.
Horribly annoying repetitive background music!
Dont watch then
His parents should serve time! Because of their false alibi, both of those poor parents died without justice. Smh.
When you're going to decide to put Civilian Cameras on the streets that should be part of fighting Crimes !
To the man that found her, you did everything humanly possible for the girl. Thank you for doing all that you did. May your heart and spirit find peace.
Wish the commentator would get out of the car she seems pointless , is she afraid to get her heels wet :
Hope the killers mother and father done some time they must of known there son was capable of this crime.
The dad hiding the knife so he must of known .
1ne's 7L7 * must have. For starters.
Love this series 👍🏻
The man who found here my heart broke for him, he truly wanted to save her.
How dreadful, a young girl like that with her life ahead of her. MY prayers and thoughts for the family and, for the man who stayed with her. You did more than you know sir. A young , innocent girl did not die alone . She had someone who cared for her and was gentle with her. Please remember that. I’m sure her parents were very grateful to you. Some people are chosen in life to do something special and you did it sir. Bless all of you and much thanks to,the police and the people who work for and help them . There is evil amongst us. How sad that is. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I actually like the narrator but confused about her driving............Poor man who was so kind to that young girl - wish him well ❤️
I felt that man's pain when he had to say he couldn't save her😢. I think he has cried many 😭
I'm praying for you sir 🙏 and wish you peace.
Unfortunately (with all sadness)our world isn't heaven.
If England had the 'capital punishment the death sentence' charges brought out into the open, I wonder if he would still kept those dark secrets to himself?
😢 rip claire. Very unique seeing the narator driving an speaking. It was the milkman wow. If he was in the army an acted weird when he went out an only had a knife
@lise
Don’t start, there’s an Australian crime show that had a woman walking to front of a court, down the road etc....she’s continuously walking!
Poor Mr Godfrey, I hope he received some sort of help after this. He held Claire's hand as she died, she was not alone. RIP Claire.
We love England and Wales and if anyone does not, they can do 1.
precious child.
Poor Mr Godfrey, he tried his best and he was holding her hand as she died... he will never get over it I suspect.
Bundy was a lawyer. Ridgeway was just a working guy. They never look like a killer.
it seems that the killer had serious issues with woman in general.
extrapolation.
the killer had serious issues with his mother as well.
his mind perception of woman, is distorted to extreme.
Why such a slow paced presentation, dragging way to much. speed it up pls, unnecessary interview with no fresh insights and who brings nothing to the table has no use.
Thats why i like forensic files , straight to the point
@Manufactured Reality exactly my point.looks like somehow they have to stretch it to make an TV full episode out of it.
Yes. They do these things better in USA
Yeah a turtle goes faster than this show. ..
Watched a few of these now and my opinion is being back the death penalty
