Far too much emphasis on protecting criminals rights over those of the victim in this country. He’d been in prison all that time but hadn’t got rid of his drug habit; how did they think he was going to sustain that and support himself?
@K Ward. I wouldn't be surprised if his habit started in Prison. Many do. I know someone people just can't be helped but Prison is meant to educate & rehabilitate prisoners! To stop people committing the same crimes in future. I know some people think Jails should be as harsh & tough as possible but at the end of the day around 90% of prisoners will be released. America has arguably the toughest/roughest most brutal prisons in the Western World, Scandavania has the biggest focus on education & rehabilitation & the prisoners have more rights & freedoms than any Western Country. Reoffending rates for America are 80+%. Scandavania 30+%. The numbers don't lie.
