Tim, thank you for this review. My father is profoundly deaf and I have been trying to gently persuade him to look into getting the Cochlear implants This video is something where I can actually show him the potential benefits ❤ Kudos to you for bringing something a little out of the mainstream to your channel...thank you 👍
My step daughter got those Nuclear 7 sound processer last year at the University of Chicago and had them connected via Bluetooth to her Google Pixel 3a. RUclips, Netflix and Google Duo are her favorite apps!
I was implanted yesterday for the N7. When I got my Resound aid in the other ear it enabled me to use the phone, something I had not done for 20 years. I hope with the N7 to be able to hear sounds around me.
This was such a departure from your normal videos. I like this interview-style format, yet still keeping the tech theme. Well done, Tim. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Tim. It is so important to raise the awareness in the hearing loss issue. It makes such a great impact on the life of the people who are affected by it. At the least in my country, Norway, the life expectancy is getting higher and higher, thus the number of people experiencing hearing loss will increase. And among those people, there will be a generous number of people still depending on their gadgets. Not only for the functional use, but also for the recreational as well as educational use (some people of a certain age are still active learners....)
Why u guys don't talk about the problems .. So wat if i want to hear music( volume down) and ppl same time ..the second problem : when u sleep u have to take it off each day ( u will not hear nothing if somthing going on around u ) - it's a good device honesty but they have to do somthing bout this two problems .
I got the N7 a year ago, when I stream my tv or videos from my phone I have 2 volume settings, one for the incoming streaming and one for my external mic so if I'm watching tv and my wife starts talking to me I can hear her also.
@@montassarbouaziz2117 also regarding the hearing at night, it’s actually wearable to sleep in! It’s great if you’re away etc but not recommended as it can burn through the batteries :) Vibrating fire alarms, doorbells, security alarms and alarm clocks are also a very good tool for this sort of thing!

Things will change a lot once hearing devices are no longer labeled as health devices.
