It is very obvious that Ashley and Jared are annoyed by Nick's cocky and snarky remarks. It made me feel bad for Jared and I was uncomfortable with how condescending Nick was towards their relationship.
Nick has had front seat to that clown show from the start. Watching them to act like a perfect couple after all the nonsense (on Jared's part mainly) is ridiculous and cringy. Nick feels superior because he won't settle like Jared so obviously did.

He made sure to embarrass Jared by letting everyone know he allowed him to stay on his couch. it wasn't so much the act as the way he said it which made Jared look at Ashley like "what an asshole this guy is being". Nick's ego will be his demise. Just you watch. You see it as him feeling superior and I see it as his attempt to belittle because of his envious need to find what they have.
On BiP Nick was filmed telling Ashley that she and Jared would "never" be together and encouraging Ashley to move on. I think Nick prides himself on his ability to read other people and he just gets one wake up call after another that he isn't as good at reading people as he thought he was. I think he feels foolish and embarrassed that the couple that he literally said would never be together is now married (engaged at the time of this video). Still no excuse for him treating them with disrespect and he needs to change that, however, that's where I think it may be coming from. The Bachelor Franchise has made Nick look like a fool over and over again and I think he has some bitterness about that. Also to state the obvious, none of Nick's relationships worked out and theirs did so there's likely some insecurity on Nick's part about that too.
Beware Nick throwing little jabs with a laugh at the end doesn’t mean he’s not dissing you. The comment that Ashley and Jared are always fighting was uncalled for etc. Doesn’t seem like a true friend.

Once I got over his dry, kind of permanently condescending tone, he actually has a lot of interesting things to say. People complain that he talks too much about himself in his podcast but it is HIS podcast. He's entitled to give his opinions on the topics he brings up.
