When I first saw Ashley on The Bachelor, I'll admit, I thought she seemed shallow and narcissistic. I really misjudged her, but I also think she's grown into herself, into a strong and confident woman in the last 3 years. Initially, I thought it was a charming turnabout that she and Jared are now engaged. After watching this video and hearing their story fleshed out, damn. I'm fully smitten with them both. I love Ashley's face when she's overcome with emotion - what someone referred to as her 'ugly crying face'. I beg to differ, as I see no ugliness. I see her heart in her face, a woman who is not afraid to feel everything, all the raw, naked, bottomless feelings so many of us block out and try to escape. Jared is a lucky man and he knows it. This is the sweetest, most touching love story I've come across in a long time and I find that it gives me hope... that I may yet begin a friendship with my own happily ever after.

I think people are being way too harsh on Jared in the comments. In my opinion, Jared was one of the most upstanding guys on Kaitlyn’s season. He was a gentleman and all around good guy. I think the break up with Kaitlyn and being in all these spin-offs of the series really made him question himself and threw him for a loop. But he realized that he loved Ashley and that he needed to be the man who got back her respect and that’s what he did. Endless support for them both - Both deserve such a beautiful relationship.
Ashley is a real sweetheart. She really puts herself out there. I hope that she and Jared end up together and live the dream, but if not, I hope that they make her the Bachelorette someday. She deserves it!

Yes Jared and Carly are similar in their thinking. But to have a person like Evan and Ashley love you in that way is rare. Glad they both realized it was never going to get better. Like the Harry quote when you realize what you finally want, you want the rest of your life to start right now
Omg they're literally perfect together. One thing that's incredibly obvious is that Jared is an overthinker!! He's super hard on himself (called himself an asshole a few times) and seems to judge himself pretty harshly on his actions or inactions instead of his (always good) intentions. He's clearly a super good guy with good morals but has allowed himself to be ruled by fear. So glad they figured it out and came back to each other :)

When I first saw Ashley on The Bachelor, I'll admit, I thought she seemed shallow and narcissistic. I really misjudged her, but I also think she's grown into herself, into a strong and confident woman in the last 3 years. Initially, I thought it was a charming turnabout that she and Jared are now engaged. After watching this video and hearing their story fleshed out, damn. I'm fully smitten with them both. I love Ashley's face when she's overcome with emotion - what someone referred to as her 'ugly crying face'. I beg to differ, as I see no ugliness. I see her heart in her face, a woman who is not afraid to feel everything, all the raw, naked, bottomless feelings so many of us block out and try to escape. Jared is a lucky man and he knows it. This is the sweetest, most touching love story I've come across in a long time and I find that it gives me hope... that I may yet begin a friendship with my own happily ever after.

Those who are bitter, and mean about this whole thing, and can’t recognize this love, should be careful, cuz they may not be able to recognize it in their own life, when it passes them by.
So, you've had an off and on again relationship for 2 years. You both had feelings for each other, but he didn't want to confess. She obsessed over him. But she realized he doesn't like her. Jared pushed Ashley away so many times in season 3. Then when she finally found another guy, Jared gets jealous and realizes how strong of his feelings are for her! Perfect romance story! I think people are being way too harsh on Jared in the comments. In my opinion, Jared was one of the most upstanding guys on Kaitlyn’s season. He was a gentleman and all around good guy. I think the break up with Kaitlyn and being in all these spin-offs of the series really made him question himself and threw him for a loop. But he realized that he loved Ashley and that he needed to be the man who got back her respect and that’s what he did. Endless support for them both - Both deserve such a beautiful relationship.
