Thanks for some entertainment for someone who can't sleep :)
That is a cool little underground explore! Not a peep from Jordan! 😮😂 Nice drone footage.
Happy holidays Matthew! ❤️🎄🧑🎄😎🤘
Hi Jordan!! Don’t touch anything!! Bad boi!!
I'm only 25 minutes in, but apart from a brief mention of radon at the beginning, they didn't mention that this is also the location of the Tube Alloys Project where they'd enrich uranium for Britain's nuclear weapons program before the whole thing was moved to the US and became the Manhattan Project.
After the war the US refused to let British scientists leave the US with THEIR OWN research which meant that Britain had to start over from scratch. It's a bit of a sore spot with British nuclear historians. They had the resources, we had the brains, but they were the only ones allowed to keep everything after the war.
That was Smashing look forward to part 2
Wow!!
Great editing on the video with all the intercut clips ..
Fantastic place this was Matt the size of it was huge Good walk aswell steeped in history too well put together thank you you realise the amount of walking we did Such a rare occasion for us very last Explore in tunnels ❤
The old footage was amazing - thanks - makes all the difference with a guide giving info brings it to life
Great vid Matt. The risks of what they were working with and exposure to that stuff.
Nice to see you back mate really enjoy and appreciate your work mate 👍
Seriously!! Well DONE!
Mustard gas was made at Randles Factory on Wigg Island in Runcorn, Cheshire.
Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee a new video i love when you go underground hope all is well with you Matt :)
Love the end music chilled too f
History unfolds as they wander, bold,
Through cold, dark, damp, and tunnels old,
A mustard gas factory, hidden from sight,
In underground depths, they explore the night.
A relic of war, a sinister place,
Where chemicals brewed in that dark space,
In echoes of time, whispers of fear,
They step cautiously, with stories to hear.
The air is heavy with tales untold,
As they navigate tunnels, so cold,
The ghosts of the past, they seem to linger,
In these underground depths, they point their fingers.
But in the darkness, a lesson to find,
A reminder of horrors, for all of humankind,
To never forget the cost of strife,
In the quest for peace, they examine life.
As they explore these tunnels deep,
The secrets they keep, the promises to keep,
They walk through history, with hearts heavy,
In hopes that such horrors will never be.
In the cold, dark, and damp embrace,
They seek understanding, in this solemn place,
For in exploring the past, we can see,
A future where peace and harmony will be.
But when the future arrived what did we see?
A world of Woke and E.S.G 😭
😮 Amazing! Happy holidays to you and your loved ones! ❤️🎄🧑🎄😎🤘
"I can't get sacked, I'm a volunteer!" 26:25 😂
Great video Matt, I watch a lot of your content your very knowledgeable in knowing about places and it's history which makes content better, and I love the music at the end very compelling does it have a title or did you put it together, keep em coming. 👍
Looks like a very interesting location m8
Well worth a visit long old way from Dover though lol 😊
You are an absolute legend matt ..keep doing what you do
I'd have liked to hear Jordan's scream down there, but he stayed silent.
Should have had a distant whisper 😂
I heard him. Louder Jorden.
They say Mustard gets up your Nose.
Cracking video, your a smart man have you heard of the rumour that all the mustard gas is buried in the outback of Australia? In old mine sites I heard 🤔
Matt that video was unbelievably frightening and fascinating at the same time. Incredible. Thank you. Love you Orange Camo. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
Can you hire this venue for parties 🥳 ?
I'm looking for something 'unusual' for a wedding and a 60th birthday celebration 🎂 🎈 🎉
I watched this this morning on odysee very good.

Superb video.
How did you manage to sedate Jordan?
So I was at the Museum one day . The only place I heard Voices . Was a Room With a Domed Roof or Ceiling . I could whisper to my wife and hear it myself loud .
Yet not hear what the couple a meter away were talking about . Cool !
Cool video matt, thanks
Is this the same site that subterainea britannica visited in the early nineties ?
(I thought it was called orchard or valley something ?)
GREAT VID AS ALWAYS 👍👍
been there huge place did you find the railway
Why couldn’t you walk down to the end of the long tunnels
Nice, night videos rules :)
Oh, it’s a stealth hike
How on earth did they build those during wartime? Could they have been there before the war? Paul Cook would love this episode, awesome video 🔥
natural caverns in places plus one of the biggest in the uk is really close too in loggerheads....easy to manipuate into wartime storage.
@@serenarchie123 yeah but when I see blockwork and straight lines from geopolymer etc the whole 'natural' theory goes out the window for me and lots of others. I'd be interested to see if they have any non-photoshopped construction photos
@@governmentisshit7140 oh i agree this site is still semi sensitive for some reason,im local and walk my dog in the area and as soon as you step into the site security turns up.....plenty of uncomfirmed stories about this site ranging from stored nukes to crown jewls to still active mod site.
What you saw here was all built in wartime. The spoil ended up on the valley floor, and eventually provided a base for the surface buildings.
@@ianddavidson1 is there any evidence/proof of that though? I went as far as searching ministry of defence records....nothing. Uncle narrative says there was extensive excavation of complex-interlinked subterranean rock-cut tunnels. Which would have been a HUGE job during wartimes. Except there's no proof of that job
After all the leaves fall it would look like a pimple on a flea .
Hi Matthew, It's a very interesting video and great drone footage , dose anyone know what they do with all the rock they dug out to build them tunnels? 👍👍
spread on the valley floor and eventually provided the foundation for the surface buildings.
Like looking at where the Titanic sunk.
Wow not far from me
(29:21) there is a strange shreik like an animal sounding," WHAA" clearly audable, wat do you think.
Omg the size of it
Sorry Matt that woman is like watching paint dry. You should have continued the talk. 😂
Thanks, Matt. Please Pass The Grey Poupon Mustard Gas.
How much of England is hidden underground?
Never mind the bs about the river Alun going underneath the tunnels, tell em about the 800ft deep steel lined mineshaft that blew it's top off in y2k in the woods other side of the antelope ind.est.heavy water dump maybe?
OCTAVIAN 1/4 MILE along the road from me..
wow
Love watching your underground videos keep up the good work
Reminds me of the deep roads of dragon age
Just up the road from me, diolch
I always learn so much watching your videos Matt thank you for enlightening me more on our history xx
Shame they demolished the Barnham mustard gas factory and filling sheds in this century.I think the mixing pot and two underground tanks still exist. They kept the national reserve of mustard gas here till the Cold War ended.
Barnham was a forward filling station which was a bit further down the supply chain, thus a bit smaller.
I’m sorry,..but ,..they pay you?
1 long floor 100quid each bore
Do they find a lot of dead sheep down there ?
where were the showers
I wouldn't linger in the Cavernous Areas of this Place . When I Explore Caves . I avoid Noise .
Theres a great Hybrid album called "I choose noise".... check it out.
Interesting video Matt! I didn't know we actually had our own Mustard Gas deterrent. Can expect an unofficial return visit to check out all the above ground areas in the drone footage? .... Also please tell us that the retards didn't turn that shut off valve?
This is so frackin ,..kewl!!!
Not cow shixt! Methane!!
Ok !! If you have VR watch from the start !! It’s wonderful!! I almost barffffed ! . Thanks !! Your awesome!! Matt ! ,…well ,..hen you’re not a dickhead! Love ❤️ u more then Jordan’s 💩! Be safe and never INHALE:
