- Every time that the Bible is faithfully preached, taught and believed, true revival will follow. Every time this happens there is a counterfeit revival to confuse and mislead people. Today there are many revivals claiming to be true but unless they have the key ingredients of a Biblical revival they are false. How can we know a true from a false revival?

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Revival without reformation is only headed for failure. Revival stirs up the heart and the emotions, while revival is the changing of direction or the change within the heart of the person for God. When combined, it can produce some incredible results for the work of God's kingdom in effectively reaching others for Jesus.
It's a sad thing when showboating as many of these false ministers promote are not working for God but the devil. May those in these congregations come to know the truth and reach out to Jesus for their salvation and not fall prey to their doom by remaining in darkness within the temples of demons.

This is one of the most significant chapters in the book for it sets the tone for the chapters that follow. When I think about how in the previous chapter she wrote on William Miller using a logical flow of Bible reasoning to support his views, then by the late 1880's we already have the trend in motion this chapter represents, the conclusion I came to is that by 1888 the Adventists in America had made enough of an impact that the compromised preaching of the then big name speakers was a direct rejection of the Sabbath. Taking the thought further, the reason we have gay marriage and abortion today is because the watered down Christianity they were offering got more and more watered down in each generation until finally in the 1960's people gave up on the church and went to the secularism we have today.

Progressive sanctification is not true. We ARE already complete in Christ.
These theological errors often occur as the modern translations often quoted are riddled with error; subtly twisting words to have us focusing our eyes on ourselves and not Christ.
Some verses on sanctification - KJV recommended! (Reader: please compare with your bible if you read something other than the King James & you'll see 'ye are sanctified' has been changed to "being sanctified"!)
