Sorry. The Bible doesn't support Flat Earth insanity. People many thousand years ago did knew the shape of the eart: a globe. Before the flood this earth had a firmament: made out of ice. But it broke down as rain and together with the fountains of the deep is covered all earth. Petrifying (turning to stone, breaking into sand, clay) all life on earth. There were many km high trees for example. Coal is the bark of the trees. Gold, Silver and other minerals mined were once the sap of the trees (the root system for example). The oceans are young, the Lithosphere is much thinner under the ocean's then under the continents. Shrink the globe and all continents and islands fit perfectly together on a smaller sized earth. The earth expanded at the end of the flood and that's were the water went.

They lived up to the light (truth) that they had. God at that point in time had not yet revealed all the truth that was embraced by the apostles. The apostate church formed under Constantine began to pervert truth by mingling it with the falsehoods of paganism. By the 1600's the false doctrines you listed were entrenched in Christian beliefs. It would take more centuries and the Protestant Reformation for the truth about baptism, the Communion service, and the Christian ministry to be revealed.

What history books are you getting this information from. I've wanted to see the remnant from the first Church until now but am unsure on what "Church" history books to get. My one attempt I bought history books about a bunch of monks and mystics IMHO.
What is the evidence that they were not monks, that Iona was just as "training school" and not a monastery? Sure, they were different that the "main line" church, but does the evidence indicate that they resemble more Roman Catholicism-style Christianity than anything resembling Evangelical Christianity?
Magellan here are a few points to consider. 1. Catholicism didn't come to the British Isles till 597 AD which was the year that Columba died. That's when Pope Gregory The Great Sent the first Catholic missionaries to Kent. So the brand of Christianity that Columba taught was not Catholic. 2. 2. Roman Britain collapsed in 410 AD and the Angles and Saxons invaded soon after and brought their own brand of paganism. When they arrived they persecuted the native Britons because they were Christian. Christianity came to the British Isles around the 1st century AD way way before Catholicism was even birthed. Catholicism only came into existence after 313 AD when Constantine was converted. 3. 3. Bede, writing around 731 AD records the coming of the Catholic missionaries to Kent, making this the starting point for the spread of Christianity through the Heptarchy, Ireland and Wales but the reality is that Christianity was around much earlier than that. If you read Bede - "Ecclesiastical History of the English Nation" you will see quite plainly that the British Church weren't Roman Catholics. Not evangelical? They sent missionaries all over Northern Europe and some even to N. Africa and Rome (Pelagius for example)

From nearly the start I sense the producers' perspective on the Church, and what they refer to as ways that were "creeping into the Church". I wonder if John Chrysostom, what gave his life for Christ, would say about this way of thought? He did not compromise, yet was part of the "mainstream". His opinion would be worthwhile to consider. Chrysostom had some very vile, hateful and even preaching that encouraged violence. Some of it inspired Hitler. Compare his words with those of Jesus- Chrysostom had some insight, but he was confused and misguided on many points. Even a casual study of history prior to say, 1950s will confirm the Dark Ages concept. Pretty much all history books used the term to describe this period. Although the Bible does not use the term, it describes the condition which prevailed during that time. Anyway, a great rewriting of history took place and continues to do so to accommodate Vatican 2, the great Ecumenical Movement, and more recently the global agenda. Do a study using some older history texts and, if you do so with an open mind and an unbiased desire to follow where true history leads you will draw the right conclusions. There would always be those that didn't compromise. There were many that did though. When persecution is heavy, the church is the strongest, when times are good and easier, this is when the church gets lax. This was the pattern in the OT w/ the Jews as well. We'd do well to heed that Christians didn't escape this as well.

INdeed. These Documentaries involving religion are most attacked, than say, a series on animal life, or, space. Quite often it isnt that someone is inquiring about a possible error in a date or fact. It is evident when any hostility or rudeness appears with the comments, there is an ulterior motive of the one who is commenting. Anger, prejudice, and 'anti' are the presupposition, and then threaded throughout, which ends up negating the comments supposed purpose. Trying to place doubt in others, rather than simply questioning and leaving others reading comments to check it out without prejudice, is a very deceptive tactic~dark psychology, if you will. Only works though, on the untrained mind or innocent.

The Celtic saints didn't just observe the weekly sabbath, they observed the whole biblical calendar, (Passover, Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Tabernacles) as did the Apostles. Observing the biblical calendar IS observing biblical religion. The christian calendar is the roman calendar, and observing it IS observing roman religion. The Apostles did not call themselves Christians, they called themselves Nazarenes. And the Celtic saints did not call themselves Christians, they called themselves Culdees. The Apostles were Hebrew Nazarene Israelites, and the Culdees were Celtic Nazarene Israelites. Christianity is a greco-roman invention, it is not based on the bible, it is based on paganism.

But Celtic religion was influenced by Semitic religion since the Bronze Age, because of the trade routes that existed between the eastern Mediterranean and Britain/Ireland. And the Culdee way was born after Nazarene Israelite missionaries came from Egypt in the 2nd. century. They chose Britain and Ireland for their mission because they knew about the connection between the Druid way and the mystical Israelite way (Kabbalah).

There are quite a few areas of Celtic spirituality in general like that they were in full communion with the Churches of the East / West that this video attempts to deny and portray them as Protestants in an effort to support their Protestant beliefs. The Celtic Church was fully part of / in communion with the Orthodox / Catholic Church under Constantinople, Rome, Jerusalem, Alexandria, and Antioch. The Celtic Saints like St Patrick and St David we’re part of those Churches and are the very same Churches that ordained them as priests and Bishops, sent them as missionaries, and then canonized them as Saints. But this video attempts to portray them as not being part of the Orthodox / Catholic Nicene faith. The Trinity is a great example because it is seen woven into Celtic knots going back to early centuries. The doctrine of the Trinity was articulated and put into writing at the first Nicene council called by Constantine which this video attempts to portray as being the antithesis of Celtic Christianity. That’s the furthest thing from the truth. This video is clearly attempting to recreate a history where the Celtic Church is somehow Protestant to the Orthodox / Catholic Church by trying to portray Celts as being at odds with the Church. There were no such thing as Protestants. Later of course in the 11th century the Church would split into Latin Catholics under the patriarch of the city of Rome (primarily in the West) and Eastern Orthodox under the patriarchs of Jerusalem, Antioch, Alexandria, and Constantinople (primarily in the East). But in my opinion this video attempts to create an alternate history that doesn’t exist. That stuff in great for fan fiction of novel and comic book genres, but has place here.
Constantine sought the help of Satan, the cross central to his catharsis was the chi ro not the crucifix as it is portrayed to be in art or theology. After Constantine’s supposed conversion, and after the church hierarchy joined in an unholy alliance with the government, then the Councils begin. If you read Bede carefully you will see that the debate was not about the correct date of Easter, it was about whether to keep Easter or the Passover. Easter is easily defeated simply because Jesus was not raised from the dead on the Sunday morning, he was raised three days and three nights after he died on the cross - having been crucified on the Wednesday He was raised on the Saturday at sunset. The Celtic Church kept the Passover (not Easter) on the 14th of the month. Also, there is no evidence that Peter was ever at Rome and a careful reading of the relevant passages will show that the Church was not built on Peter but on Jesus - the Chief Corner Stone.

Being faithful to God should not be equated to being faithful to the bible, a book bible scholar Bart Ehrman has described as being full of discrepancy, contradiction and error.
The supposed contradictions and errors in the Bible lie in the minds, philosophies, and false religions of men. In my 74 trips around the sun I have encountered those who proport that in Scripture there are many so-called contradictions and errors. Using proper logic and the guidance of God, those seeming contradictions and errors melt away one by one. Yes, there are genuine contradictions in certain popular Christian teachings, but a knowledge of Bible truth exposes those errors. Let me provide an example of such a contradiction to be found in a widely held Christian teaching -- one that is noted at many Christian funeral services. A preacher will say something like, "Our dearly departed brother is now walking the streets of gold in heaven and is now united with his dear Savior Jesus." Later in the sermon this promise of Jesus is offered: "In my Father's house [in heaven] are many mansions...I go to prepare a place for you; and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, so that where I am, there ye may be also." John 14 verses 2 and 3. Do you see the contradiction? The preacher places the deceased person in heaven with Jesus, but Jesus said He would be united with the deceased _when He reurns._ Why would Jesus say "I will come again and receive you unto myself" if the deceased are already with Him in heaven? This misunderstanding of Scripture is resolved by a genuine understanding of what happens when we die. If anyone knows what happens to a man when he dies, it is the God who created man. In the Garden of Eden, after Adam and Eve disobeyed God's command to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, God came down and said to Adam, "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return to the ground, for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." Genesis 3 verse 19. Man's Creator says that when we die we "return to the ground." Why do many preachers say the dead go straight to heaven? The Bible prophets agree with the Creator. The psalmist David said of the dead: "His breath goeth forth, _he returneth to his earth,_ in that very day his thoughts perish." Psalm 146 verse 4. If he goes to the ground, or earth, and his thoughts perish, then how can he be in heaven and singing praises to God? We need not give up our faith in God or the Bible because the vast majority of Christian preachers teach that at death a person goes straight to heaven or hell. That is a teaching that infiltrated the early church after it began to mingle pagan teachings with Christian beliefs. Jesus taught that someday after He returned to heaven He would return to earth and gather His elect and take them to heaven so they could finally be with Him. Thus the Bible teaches the truth of the resurrection, which is when "the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the arch angel, and with the Trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them [the dead who were in their graves since the days of Adam] in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." 1 Thessalonians 4 verses 16 and 17. The dead return to the ground -- we bury or cremate them -- and remain there until Jesus our Lord returns to gather the righteous unto Himself. If it is not our choice to do God's will we shall never understand the truths of the Bible. Bart Erhman was once a devout Christian but he stumbled over the inconsistencies between the many versions of the Bible and over the seeming contradictions found in the many teachings of the vast number of sects within Christianity. He could not comprehend why God allowed the transcribers of Biblical texts through the centuries to make changes in the wording. Wasn't God able to protect His inspired word from being corrupted? Why would God allow scribes to change so many Bible texts. That led to his loss of faith in God, and today he is an "agnostic atheist." It is not Erhman's will to do God's will. He never discovered that amidst all the contradictions and errors among professed Christian churches there exists the pure word of truth. Instead of running here and there debating with Christian scholars, he should seek to dig for Biblical truth as one digs for earthly rubies and diamonds; and if He seeks, he will find.
The video is well done and beautiful but the history given is way out of context. Find the history of the Orthodox church and you will find the missing pieces.
You don't have to be inventive about history to make your denomination look better. Its high time SDA buries the hatchet with the Roman Catholic Church. You end up behaving just like them- telling dogmatic utilitarian lies. I don't see how your Easter story stacks up. Here alone you push the line that Celts differed with the rest of Christianity but this is impossible since these are Jewish festivals. Holy Week = Passover Easter = Omer Pentecost = Sukkoth If even Roman Catholics won't celebrate them the Jews would. In 2017 all 3 calendars- Jewish, Julian and Gregorian aligned. Clearly no one had changed anything except the mistake over Passover on Wednesday and Thursday as the day Jesus was killed.

History is history, no matter if it is "good" or "bad"; do you also want to make it mandatory for schools, not to teach history or hide certain parts, because they carry a hatchet against someone, yet, men and women of great and vast intellect as well as the common lay persons, know that world history and learning from it IS essential to ALL generations...and provides how to deal with future events, as history repeats and enlarges over decades and centuries.

I am Messianic Jewish in outlook because of that. The reason I didn't take to Adventism was they overstate their case against Roman Catholicism when you check against Rabbinic Jewish and Orthodox Catholic sources. I have not condemned you in the least but factionalism is of no essence at this point. We need Christians to bear fruit of the Holy Spirit not spread dogmatic propaganda no one wants to hear. Perhaps years ago I went through that information already-having come to the conclusion accepted and moved on to other issues...However, being a lifelong researcher, I hold to what Ive spent years in, ongoing studies with prayer. I hold to the truth-not a name. God is good, His Spirit leads those to all truth. Jesus is worthy to be followed-not man. Amongst other issues, the calendar was a great or grand study and took convincing of plain facts found & investigated. We must not underestimate or assume others are not well read & spent many years in learning. Perhaps a quality most do not possess-not putting time and effort but accepting what is presented w/o much question.
I go by the weight of evidence, as there may always be a line here or there that does not fit into the overload of truth. Error finds a way of creeping in, or opinion. I do not believe the almighty God in heaven allowed the days to be changed. It is like saying day is night/night is day. Something written within the heart of 10 Commandments written by the Finger of God-not by man, in stone, solidifying unchangeable by man. To change a day, would be a true superhuman feat to perform. It is an impossibility. I know the history of the catholic system & their ways & beliefs... to go by what they say is not a safe route. This video is full of lies. It claims that Catholic practices did not begin until Constantine. However, if you read the writings of the early Church Fathers prior to Constantine, you will see that they held to all of the practices that the modern-day Catholic Church holds to.

Before the flood this earth had a firmament: made out of ice. But it broke down as rain and together with the fountains of the deep is covered all earth. Petrifying (turning to stone, breaking into sand, clay) all life on earth. There were many km high trees for example. Coal is the bark of the trees. Gold, Silver and other minerals mined were once the sap of the trees (the root system for example). The oceans are young, the Lithosphere is much thinner under the ocean's then under the continents. Shrink the globe and all continents and islands fit perfectly together on a smaller sized earth. The earth expanded at the end of the flood and that's were the water went.

From what I read all Christians up until the Reformation believed in the Holy Eucharist .

They lived up to the light (truth) that they had. God at that point in time had not yet revealed all the truth that was embraced by the apostles. The apostate church formed under Constantine began to pervert truth by mingling it with the falsehoods of paganism. By the 1600's the false doctrines you listed were entrenched in Christian beliefs. It would take more centuries and the Protestant Reformation for the truth about baptism, the Communion service, and the Christian ministry to be revealed.

What history books are you getting this information from. I've wanted to see the remnant from the first Church until now but am unsure on what "Church" history books to get. My one attempt I bought history books about a bunch of monks and mystics IMHO.

Is the Celtic church distinct from Orthodox church in any way, or are they essentially the same?
And a remnant of us keep #4 today as well. Sabbath never changed.
What is the evidence that they were not monks, that Iona was just as "training school" and not a monastery? Sure, they were different that the "main line" church, but does the evidence indicate that they resemble more Roman Catholicism-style Christianity than anything resembling Evangelical Christianity?
Magellan here are a few points to consider.
1. Catholicism didn't come to the British Isles till 597 AD which was the year that Columba died. That's when Pope Gregory The Great Sent the first Catholic missionaries to Kent. So the brand of Christianity that Columba taught was not Catholic.
2. 2. Roman Britain collapsed in 410 AD and the Angles and Saxons invaded soon after and brought their own brand of paganism. When they arrived they persecuted the native Britons because they were Christian. Christianity came to the British Isles around the 1st century AD way way before Catholicism was even birthed. Catholicism only came into existence after 313 AD when Constantine was converted.
3. 3. Bede, writing around 731 AD records the coming of the Catholic missionaries to Kent, making this the starting point for the spread of Christianity through the Heptarchy, Ireland and Wales but the reality is that Christianity was around much earlier than that.
This article (www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/christianity/history/uk_1.shtml) is long but it's an reputable and it basically backs up what we are saying about Christianity being present in Britain before Catholicism came in and also that Columba's brand of Christianity was distinct. It also charts the assimilation of the Celtic Church by the Roman Catholic Church at the Synod of Whitby and then the Viking invasion of Lindisfarne.

If you read Bede - "Ecclesiastical History of the English Nation" you will see quite plainly that the British Church weren't Roman Catholics. Not evangelical? They sent missionaries all over Northern Europe and some even to N. Africa and Rome (Pelagius for example)
There are Orthodox Desert Father influences here however they might have been loosely Roman Catholic but allowed their own regional variations?
The image of a ‘cross’ that Constantine saw in the sky was a Chiro (Greek for CHRIST..XP) not a ‘plus’ sign. An intentional confusion made by the later church.

@@jerryjamify Nothing to do with that mark, but certainly a sun symbol, with many ancient pagan links especially with Assyria and the 8 points of the sun circle (see these artefacts in museums like the British Museum), also later the 'sunburst monstrance', the swastika, and others. It also actually has nothing to do with Jesus, as he died on a 'stauros/stave' which is a single piece of wood.
From nearly the start I sense the producers' perspective on the Church, and what they refer to as ways that were "creeping into the Church". I wonder if John Chrysostom, what gave his life for Christ, would say about this way of thought? He did not compromise, yet was part of the "mainstream". His opinion would be worthwhile to consider. I do not think the Middle Ages were the Dark Ages. This is an arguable use of words. I will now watch the rest of the video. Thank you.
Chrysostom had some very vile, hateful and even preaching that encouraged violence. Some of it inspired Hitler. Compare his words with those of Jesus- Chrysostom had some insight, but he was confused and misguided on many points. He made many statements that are contradictory to the clear words of Jesus and the Apostles. Compare with prayer. Elevate no one above Jesus! 💙🙏🏽💙🌻
Even a casual study of history prior to say, 1950s will confirm the Dark Ages concept. Pretty much all history books used the term to describe this period. Although the Bible does not use the term, it describes the condition which prevailed during that time.
Anyway, a great rewriting of history took place and continues to do so to accommodate Vatican 2, the great Ecumenical Movement, and more recently the global agenda. Do a study using some older history texts and, if you do so with an open mind and an unbiased desire to follow where true history leads you will draw the right conclusions.

There would always be those that didn't compromise. There were many that did though. When persecution is heavy, the church is the strongest, when times are good and easier, this is when the church gets lax. This was the pattern in the OT w/ the Jews as well. We'd do well to heed that Christians didn't escape this as well.

INdeed. These Documentaries involving religion are most attacked, than say, a series on animal life, or, space. Quite often it isnt that someone is inquiring about a possible error in a date or fact. It is evident when any hostility or rudeness appears with the comments, there is an ulterior motive of the one who is commenting. Anger, prejudice, and 'anti' are the presupposition, and then threaded throughout, which ends up negating the comments supposed purpose. Trying to place doubt in others, rather than simply questioning and leaving others reading comments to check it out without prejudice, is a very deceptive tactic~dark psychology, if you will. Only works though, on the untrained mind or innocent.

Your "facts" are definitely not facts. The film is correct. The Christian church is divided because Catholism promotes "another Jesus" and is full of carefully crafted deception.
The Celtic saints didn't just observe the weekly sabbath, they observed the whole biblical calendar, (Passover, Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Tabernacles) as did the Apostles. Observing the biblical calendar IS observing biblical religion. The christian calendar is the roman calendar, and observing it IS observing roman religion. The Apostles did not call themselves Christians, they called themselves Nazarenes. And the Celtic saints did not call themselves Christians, they called themselves Culdees. The Apostles were Hebrew Nazarene Israelites, and the Culdees were Celtic Nazarene Israelites. Christianity is a greco-roman invention, it is not based on the bible, it is based on paganism.

But Celtic religion was influenced by Semitic religion since the Bronze Age, because of the trade routes that existed between the eastern Mediterranean and Britain/Ireland. And the Culdee way was born after Nazarene Israelite missionaries came from Egypt in the 2nd. century. They chose Britain and Ireland for their mission because they knew about the connection between the Druid way and the mystical Israelite way (Kabbalah).

There are quite a few areas of Celtic spirituality in general like that they were in full communion with the Churches of the East / West that this video attempts to deny and portray them as Protestants in an effort to support their Protestant beliefs. The Celtic Church was fully part of / in communion with the Orthodox / Catholic Church under Constantinople, Rome, Jerusalem, Alexandria, and Antioch. The Celtic Saints like St Patrick and St David we’re part of those Churches and are the very same Churches that ordained them as priests and Bishops, sent them as missionaries, and then canonized them as Saints. But this video attempts to portray them as not being part of the Orthodox / Catholic Nicene faith. The Trinity is a great example because it is seen woven into Celtic knots going back to early centuries. The doctrine of the Trinity was articulated and put into writing at the first Nicene council called by Constantine which this video attempts to portray as being the antithesis of Celtic Christianity. That’s the furthest thing from the truth. This video is clearly attempting to recreate a history where the Celtic Church is somehow Protestant to the Orthodox / Catholic Church by trying to portray Celts as being at odds with the Church. There were no such thing as Protestants. Later of course in the 11th century the Church would split into Latin Catholics under the patriarch of the city of Rome (primarily in the West) and Eastern Orthodox under the patriarchs of Jerusalem, Antioch, Alexandria, and Constantinople (primarily in the East). But in my opinion this video attempts to create an alternate history that doesn’t exist. That stuff in great for fan fiction of novel and comic book genres, but has place here.

The Waldensians trace our history back to the apostles. The first left Rome during Nero’s reign. The Roman church perverted the scriptures and continued the persecution of the faith. If you read Bede carefully you will see that the debate was not about the correct date of Easter, it was about whether to keep Easter or the Passover. Easter is easily defeated simply because Jesus was not raised from the dead on the Sunday morning, he was raised three days and three nights after he died on the cross - having been crucified on the Wednesday He was raised on the Saturday at sunset. The Celtic Church kept the Passover (not Easter) on the 14th of the month.
Also, there is no evidence that Peter was ever at Rome and a careful reading of the relevant passages will show that the Church was not built on Peter but on Jesus - the Chief Corner Stone.

Being faithful to God should not be equated to being faithful to the bible, a book bible scholar Bart Ehrman has described as being full of discrepancy, contradiction and error.
The supposed contradictions and errors in the Bible lie in the minds, philosophies, and false religions of men. In my 74 trips around the sun I have encountered those who proport that in Scripture there are many so-called contradictions and errors. Using proper logic and the guidance of God, those seeming contradictions and errors melt away one by one. Yes, there are genuine contradictions in certain popular Christian teachings, but a knowledge of Bible truth exposes those errors.
Let me provide an example of such a contradiction to be found in a widely held Christian teaching -- one that is noted at many Christian funeral services. A preacher will say something like, "Our dearly departed brother is now walking the streets of gold in heaven and is now united with his dear Savior Jesus." Later in the sermon this promise of Jesus is offered: "In my Father's house [in heaven] are many mansions...I go to prepare a place for you; and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, so that where I am, there ye may be also." John 14 verses 2 and 3. Do you see the contradiction? The preacher places the deceased person in heaven with Jesus, but Jesus said He would be united with the deceased _when He reurns._ Why would Jesus say "I will come again and receive you unto myself" if the deceased are already with Him in heaven? This misunderstanding of Scripture is resolved by a genuine understanding of what happens when we die. If anyone knows what happens to a man when he dies, it is the God who created man. In the Garden of Eden, after Adam and Eve disobeyed God's command to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, God came down and said to Adam, "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return to the ground, for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." Genesis 3 verse 19. Man's Creator says that when we die we "return to the ground." Why do many preachers say the dead go straight to heaven? The Bible prophets agree with the Creator. The psalmist David said of the dead: "His breath goeth forth, _he returneth to his earth,_ in that very day his thoughts perish." Psalm 146 verse 4. If he goes to the ground, or earth, and his thoughts perish, then how can he be in heaven and singing praises to God? We need not give up our faith in God or the Bible because the vast majority of Christian preachers teach that at death a person goes straight to heaven or hell. That is a teaching that infiltrated the early church after it began to mingle pagan teachings with Christian beliefs. Jesus taught that someday after He returned to heaven He would return to earth and gather His elect and take them to heaven so they could finally be with Him. Thus the Bible teaches the truth of the resurrection, which is when "the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the arch angel, and with the Trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them [the dead who were in their graves since the days of Adam] in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." 1 Thessalonians 4 verses 16 and 17. The dead return to the ground -- we bury or cremate them -- and remain there until Jesus our Lord returns to gather the righteous unto Himself.
If it is not our choice to do God's will we shall never understand the truths of the Bible. Bart Erhman was once a devout Christian but he stumbled over the inconsistencies between the many versions of the Bible and over the seeming contradictions found in the many teachings of the vast number of sects within Christianity. He could not comprehend why God allowed the transcribers of Biblical texts through the centuries to make changes in the wording. Wasn't God able to protect His inspired word from being corrupted? Why would God allow scribes to change so many Bible texts. That led to his loss of faith in God, and today he is an "agnostic atheist." It is not Erhman's will to do God's will. He never discovered that amidst all the contradictions and errors among professed Christian churches there exists the pure word of truth. Instead of running here and there debating with Christian scholars, he should seek to dig for Biblical truth as one digs for earthly rubies and diamonds; and if He seeks, he will find.
The video is well done and beautiful but the history given is way out of context. Find the history of the Orthodox church and you will find the missing pieces.
You don't have to be inventive about history to make your denomination look better. Its high time SDA buries the hatchet with the Roman Catholic Church. You end up behaving just like them- telling dogmatic utilitarian lies. I don't see how your Easter story stacks up. Here alone you push the line that Celts differed with the rest of Christianity but this is impossible since these are Jewish festivals.

The days of the week have never changed despite any calendar change! Look deeper- and you will find this to be truth. DO you think one day, a group of people, or yet, the whole world woke up, at their specific locations and countries, and said, lets make this Wednesday instead of Sunday! And, all at the same time? History is history, no matter if it is "good" or "bad"; do you also want to make it mandatory for schools, not to teach history or hide certain parts, because they carry a hatchet against someone, yet, men and women of great and vast intellect as well as the common lay persons, know that world history and learning from it IS essential to ALL generations...and provides how to deal with future events, as history repeats and enlarges over decades and centuries.
@@jules9628 you are seriously trying to defend your denomination against something you have no idea about. In my quest to accept Christianity I actually gobbled up a lot of SDA literature. I am Messianic Jewish in outlook because of that. The reason I didn't take to Adventism was they overstate their case against Roman Catholicism when you check against Rabbinic Jewish and Orthodox Catholic sources.
I have not condemned you in the least but factionalism is of no essence at this point. We need Christians to bear fruit of the Holy Spirit not spread dogmatic propaganda no one wants to hear.
That is why the West is falling. People don't need dogmatic religion for identifying with anymore. They want the experience of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. They are seeking it anywhere they can becuse most of us keep bearing fruit of the flesh while claiming we are in the right Church.

Nii Ayi Croffie I will look at what you shared. Perhaps years ago I went through that information already-having come to the conclusion accepted and moved on to other issues...However, being a lifelong researcher, I hold to what Ive spent years in, ongoing studies with prayer. I hold to the truth-not a name. God is good, His Spirit leads those to all truth. Jesus is worthy to be followed-not man. Amongst other issues, the calendar was a great or grand study and took convincing of plain facts found & investigated. We must not underestimate or assume others are not well read & spent many years in learning. Perhaps a quality most do not possess-not putting time and effort but accepting what is presented w/o much question.
I go by the weight of evidence, as there may always be a line here or there that does not fit into the overload of truth. Error finds a way of creeping in, or opinion. I do not believe the almighty God in heaven allowed the days to be changed. It is like saying day is night/night is day. Something written within the heart of 10 Commandments written by the Finger of God-not by man, in stone, solidifying unchangeable by man. To change a day, would be a true superhuman feat to perform. It is an impossibility. I know the history of the catholic system & their ways & beliefs... to go by what they say is not a safe route. This video is full of lies. It claims that Catholic practices did not begin until Constantine. However, if you read the writings of the early Church Fathers prior to Constantine, you will see that they held to all of the practices that the modern-day Catholic Church holds to.
