Pet semetary (Stephen King) 5. The Remains of the Day (Kazuo Ishiguru) I also just finished "Turtles all the way down" and it will definitely make this year's list for me! I love John Green's writing and his way with words. The book was so emotionally heavy and sometimes really hard to read and to imagine what it must be like to feel that way all the time. Also on my TBR this year is "Children of Blood and Bone" because you recommended it in your "Books that are like ATLA" video. I'm also a huge ATLA fan so I have high hopes for this book!
4. City of bones Just finished it a few days ago and it makes me feel so weird (in a good way) I can't explain why. 3. Shades Of Magic series I mean do I need to explain 2. Aristotole and dante discover the secrets of the universe It's more like tied first but I liked the first one a bit more. I've never been so happy reading a book in my life. I can relate so much to dante omg 1. The Song Of Achilles This book *destroyed* me OMG the relationship was written well, the plot was written so well, the characters were written so well, the dialogue was written so well, honestly a whole Masterpiece!!! Read it just read it!! What were yours?
I love the way you talk about the An Ember in the Ashes series! It’s my all time favorite fantasy series, I’m just so emotionally invested and in love with the whole story and the characters, especially Elias! Can’t wait for the last book 😍
My favorite book of 2018 was actually Radio Silence! I picked it up based on your recommendation in another video and was completely blown away. I'm currently reading The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and loving it more than I expected. Already had Hank Green's novel on my TBR for 2019 and you made me add Poet X and The Astonishing Color of After! 💗
I found your channel sometime in the fall of 2018 and it was also when I took the plunge with utilizing audiobooks more! So I’ve been able to breeze through your recommendations cause there were a lot of books I’ve been wanting to read but didn’t have the funds to purchase each book individually. Some of my favs of 2018: The Night Circus - had this paperback for a few years as a TBR but after watching you dug it out of my bookshelf and just devoured it! Loved it! The Perks of Being a Wallflower - this was on audiobook and I can’t recommend that way enough! There is something so visceral experiencing the book this way. I knew nothing about it going in and I’m so glad for that! Gentlemen’s Guide to Vice & Virtue - ah loved this so much! The audiobook was so great! I finished it and was able to dive into the sequel The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats & Piracy immediately after. I didn’t love the sequel as much as the first one but I’m looking forward to more in this series. The Mortal Instruments (Part 1) - Again this was via audiobook. I live in NYC so audiobooks have made my commute so much better. This series has been on my TBR for years and years as well. The first three books of the this series just kept getting better and better as they progressed! I’m loving the world that she built as well as the complicated relationships. I’m doing the Clare reading order so I’m actually just starting The Infernal Devices now before I continue The Mortal Instruments. Can’t wait to finish and can’t wait for more recommendations from you!
Evelyn Hugo was my favourite of 2018 too! Followed by Little Fires Everywhere and Half of the Yellow Sun. I don't know if you've read anything by Celeste Ng or Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie but I think you'd enjoy both of their books.
1. The Nightingale 2. Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine 3. Warbreaker 4. The Name of the Wind 5. The City of Brass I really want to read Circe but every time I pick it up I change my mind... you talking about it has encouraged me to pick it up again!
I was reading The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo before jumping online. I wasn't sure what to expect from it, but I love it. I'm about a quarter done with it so far
Circe, Before the Devil Breaks You, and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo were all on my yearly top ten as well!! I can't believe it's taken me so long to get to the Diviners series, and I'm so glad you liked Radio Silence so much, it's one of my favorite books
My top three favorites: Children of Blood and Bone Fangirl Sadie ♥️ love your videos Hannah! I’m listening to The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and I’m on chapter 8 and I am already in love! Can’t wait to finish it! 😁

Every time you upload a new video my reading list grows. This year I’ve read The Night Circus and I LOVED IT! So thank you for all the work and dedication you put out there. You are a reading inspiration...if that makes sense. You are such a strong woman! Even if it terrified you to let the world know about your health issues, you did let it out. But you did not do it to attract attention or anything of the sort. You did it to share with us what you were dealing with and educate us too. And for that you are amazing! Keep doing what you are doing, cause you’re killing it! Sending my love from Argentina
My favorite read for 2018 was Throne of Glass! I have just gotten back into reading after years of being away, and after reading this book, I have been pulled back in to a huge passion of mine!
My top three favourite reads in 2018 (in no particular order): Renegades and it’s sequel Archenemies- I just love Marissa Meyer’s writing style, the characters are so close to my heart and omg I’m so hyped for the third book aaahh! The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender- this story is so enchanting in a way, these characters have different stories to tell but it all comes together epically, I love the idea just in general and I’m so glad I picked it up! Lastly, They Both Die At The End- this book broke me. I rarely cry when reading a book and here I am crying at the end. In such a short time I grew to love these characters and I love Mateo and Rufus’s story together. I adore just the overall premise and the characters and the story work so well together. Also, if you’re reading this Hannah, would you consider doing a video talking about your favourite book characters? I honestly just want to hear your opinions on Ty Blackthorn since I love him so much and can relate to him. Anyway, loved this video and will definitely check out these books! :)
You have so many good books on your list! I just started watching your video but loving your reading tastes already! If you love Circe, you should definitely try The Song of Achilles as that one has definitely crept into one that I love. I also have read Six of Crows in 2019 which so late but I absolutely love it! I need to read Truly Devious, The Poet X, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, Children of Blood and Bone, An Ember in the Ashes, Muse of Nightmares, Circe, and The Astonishing Color of After! I definitely want to get to some of these too! I can’t wait to see your other videos! Here are my favorites of 2018: (in no particular order except for number one): 1. They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera 2. Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson 3. Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson 4. The Darkest Minds series by Alexandra Bracken (if I had to pick one, it would be In The Afterlight) 5. To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo 6. Warcross by Marie Lu 7. Love and Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch 8. City of Glass by Cassandra Clare 9. The Cruel Prince by Holly Black 10. Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi
I like that you're proud of reading so much, as you should be! There are so many booktubers who say that they ONLY read 100 books, like that's a big disappointment or something.
ELIAS and LAIA!! This series cured my most recent reading slump, so it is very dear to my heart. Ember in the Ashes is so unique and dark in a positively beautiful way. This series will break you and build you up, then destroy you all over again. But DO NOT miss this series. It will change your life!❤️😭
LOVE your eyeshadow!! I've seen so many repeat books on everyone's favourite lists this year like The Astonishing Color of After and The Poet X so my want to read shelf is about to get a lot longer !!
I loved Circe with all of my heart. Especially the character development Circe goes through? She starts as a meek girl desperate for the meager affections of the men in her life, and she ends up becoming a strong woman who dares the gods to take what's hers away. And I really really appreciate that
The seven husband's of Evelyn Hugo just got translated to swedish and I bought it to the library I work at because of you! I will definitely read it during 2019!
My favorites included:❤️❤️ The monsters of verity duology Ember in the ashes series Winter girls Turtles all the way down The sun is also a star How it went down
Hey hannah! I just wanted to apologise since I havent watched you in ages and i feel guilty😬 but since you have come back to booktube and to us Im so proud of you and whenever I watch you it just feels like coming back home ☺️ But i actually wanted to recommend something to you 🙂 since I saw you liked Circe, you said you loved Greek mythology AND you love reading about the femme fatale and the power of women - theres a book Im sure you would enjoy called the Other Side of Acheron. My Latin teacher gave this to me and i actually really enjoyed it :) its all about medea the sorceress and the evil portrayal history has always given her- but this story decides to show us what history hasnt and gives us the heartbraking, empathetic and oppressive backstory of Medea and flips everything we know about History’s favourite witch on its head! I rlly recommend it, i dont think you should go in only knowing a little it will definitely surprise you, and when I heard about your interests and love of Circe, I knew instantly this book was for you Pls do give it a try and let me know if you enjoy! Also you SLAY in that red beret, you are an actual queen, when do you not look GORGEOUS XX ❣
Paperweight is going straight on my tbr Top 3 were 3. Carry On 2. The Great Alone 1. The Seven husbands of evelyn hugo Although honestly all three could easily move around the top 3 positions all were brilliant.
Our top 3 reads are so similar. But number 1 for me was The House of Impossible Beauties by Joseph Cassara. 2. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo - Taylor Jenkins Reid 3. The Astonishing Colour of After - Emily X.R. Pan. Here's to an equally incredible 2019 for us all!
God I LOVE this video of yours! I’m actually kinda jealous cuz you seem so articulate and passionate and when I’m talking about my passions I just kinda stumble and go “omg I love it!” But you are so descriptive and elegant with your words and I’m just like super jealous but I also love it so much you are incredible I love you and I hope to hear/talk/see from you so much more this year!!! 😍🤗❤️😘👏🏻
Love your beret! You are so beautiful! A Torch Against the Night, A Reaper At the Gates and To All The Boys I've Loved Before Series are some of the books I also read this year and I ABSOLUTELY love them too.
The way you described the world building in Muse of Nightmares is how I feel about the Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne. It's sad that nobody talks about that series
I loved Muse of Nightmares, To All the Boys I've Loved Before, The Poet X. The Seven Husband's of Evelyn Hugo blew me away. I binge read Taylor Jenkins Reid after that. Also I love the Beret!!
I read The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo because you recommended it and it ended up being my favorite book of 2018 and probably my favorite book ever. It blew me away and I haven't stopped thinking about it ever since I read it. Also, I finished An Absolutely Remarkable Thing last night and it will definitely be in my top 10 of 2019. So, thank you for all your amazing recommendations and also for being such a bright light in this community! ❤

I didn't read as many books as I would like the previous year, mainly because of school, which made me fall into a reading slump. Anyway, from the books I did read in 2018, I really enjoyed Turtles All The Way Down, The Night Circus (thanks for the recommendation btw you are the reason why I bought this book💕), Norse Mythology, Full Dark, No Stars and Kingdom of Ash. PS. I love you so much, you are amazing. Keep up with the good work 💕

@@ninaelmoyan3478 😱
aaa the song of achilles were one of my favourites as well! also gonna read the last 100 pages of ari and dante today!!
Some of my favs of 2018:
The Night Circus - had this paperback for a few years as a TBR but after watching you dug it out of my bookshelf and just devoured it!
I loved Little Fires Everywhere as well.

2. Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine
3. Warbreaker
4. The Name of the Wind

I really want to read Circe but every time I pick it up I change my mind... you talking about it has encouraged me to pick it up again!
Sydney Ellison The Nightingale is my absolute favorite. It’s the only book that has ever made me cry
Love the diversity of characters and authors in these books!! Can't wait to read as much as I can from them!
I got so emotional when you talked about Paperweight, I’m so proud of you ♥️ Also we have so many favorites in common! Sending hugs as always ♥️
faves faves faves faves:
-shades of magic trilogy

Every time you upload a new video my reading list grows. This year I’ve read The Night Circus and I LOVED IT! So thank you for all the work and dedication you put out there. You are a reading inspiration...if that makes sense.
You are such a strong woman! Even if it terrified you to let the world know about your health issues, you did let it out. But you did not do it to attract attention or anything of the sort. You did it to share with us what you were dealing with and educate us too. And for that you are amazing! Keep doing what you are doing, cause you’re killing it!
Sending my love from Argentina
I can't wait to read some of these books! I love the beret and makeup
My favorite read for 2018 was Throne of Glass! I have just gotten back into reading after years of being away, and after reading this book, I have been pulled back in to a huge passion of mine!
Top 3:
1) The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
2) Scythe by Neil Shusterman
3) Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan
My top three favourite reads in 2018 (in no particular order):
Renegades and it’s sequel Archenemies- I just love Marissa Meyer’s writing style, the characters are so close to my heart and omg I’m so hyped for the third book aaahh!
Here are my favorites of 2018:

my top five:
1. Furyborn
2. To Kill a Kingdom
3. Caraval
4. It Ends With Us
5. The Young Elites
I also loved The Poet X and Children Of Blood And Bone. I'm so excited for the latter's sequel (s)!
I loved Circe with all of my heart. Especially the character development Circe goes through? She starts as a meek girl desperate for the meager affections of the men in her life, and she ends up becoming a strong woman who dares the gods to take what's hers away. And I really really appreciate that

Hey hannah! I just wanted to apologise since I havent watched you in ages and i feel guilty😬 but since you have come back to booktube and to us Im so proud of you and whenever I watch you it just feels like coming back home ☺️
But i actually wanted to recommend something to you 🙂 since I saw you liked Circe, you said you loved Greek mythology AND you love reading about the femme fatale and the power of women - theres a book Im sure you would enjoy called the Other Side of Acheron.
I rlly recommend it, i dont think you should go in only knowing a little it will definitely surprise you, and when I heard about your interests and love of Circe, I knew instantly this book was for you
Pls do give it a try and let me know if you enjoy!
Also you SLAY in that red beret, you are an actual queen, when do you not look GORGEOUS XX ❣
Paperweight is going straight on my tbr

God I LOVE this video of yours! I’m actually kinda jealous cuz you seem so articulate and passionate and when I’m talking about my passions I just kinda stumble and go “omg I love it!” But you are so descriptive and elegant with your words and I’m just like super jealous but I also love it so much you are incredible I love you and I hope to hear/talk/see from you so much more this year!!! 😍🤗❤️😘👏🏻

I read the Infernal Devices series because of you and it’s my favorites series ever. I cried so hard but it made me so happy.
The way you described the world building in Muse of Nightmares is how I feel about the Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne. It's sad that nobody talks about that series
i love that you have the elric brothers and winry on your shelves! i just had a full on freak out hahah
I loved Muse of Nightmares, To All the Boys I've Loved Before, The Poet X. The Seven Husband's of Evelyn Hugo blew me away. I binge read Taylor Jenkins Reid after that. Also I love the Beret!!
