just got this laptop for work. hooked up to my dual monitor setup by adding a usb-c to hdmi adapter since there's only 1 hdmi port on it. didn't care about color accuracy cause i only occasionally need to take it with me on the go. most of the time it just sits hooked up to my monitors in the office. decent 6 core cpu, decent graphics(can do low-mid level gaming), decent blazing fast nvme ssd. only issue is prehistoric 8gb ram amount it comes with. this is a great bargain work laptop if you add an extra 8gb stick and up the total to 16gb or better replace ram to 32gb(2x16) straight away (that's what i did) it would cost you 20$ to get an extra 8gb stick or 80$ or smtn to buy new set of 32GB of ram much better than similar specd laptops that cost 500$+ more for the privilege of having more ram preinstalled Added after having used it for few weeks: Main cons I can see anyone having it would be - 6-bit color display / colors feel muted (not an issue if using extra external display but if it's your main machine that would be a dealbreaker at least for me) / has good contrast, brightness and hdr otherwise - usb-c port is data only (doesn't support displayport over usb-c for connecting extra monitor) - THE FAN!!! The fancurve on it is insane and there's no way to control it directly!!! It sounds like a permanent rocket launch. I can imagine a lot of people returning it for this reason hence why it's so cheap. I really hope they'll release a bios update to make fancurve a bit more bareable. Right now it's either completely off/silent or full blast rocket launch that kicks in and stops instantly. Workaround I've found is adding an extra 'balanced' power plan in Windows and editing it 'Processor power management' to minimum 60% and maximum 80%. That way it stays pretty much permanently silent and that's how I use it at work. If I do need an extra boost for gaming or rendering I switch to High Performance power plan, which let's the fan go mental and then I put my headphones on. Cause of the fan issue I'm on the fence about returning it. Specs are great for the price but these issues would hurt resale value as people would just assume it's faulty and return it.
@@shreenivasrangarajan4378 battery life is decent. I've been programming in an outdoor cafe for 5 hours one day and there was still half or more battery left. But not sure as I usually have it sitting on my desk plugged in permanently at work.
@@AMUSLIM11 why would you want to. It's clocked at 3200mhz which is pretty adequate for this CPU. And yeah.i don't think you can increase ram speed but just for the reason that I don't think any laptop manufacturer has ever made above 3200mhz ddr4 sodimms.
In this review, some of incorrect informations are stated. I have variant with Full HD IPS panel and I can say it's decent. Colors are washed out, but not extremely bad. Corrections: 1. it would cost you 20$ to get an extra 8gb stick or 80$ or smtn to buy new set of 32GB of ram
much better than similar specd laptops that cost 500$+ more for the privilege of having more ram preinstalled
