Octopus Cove, Big Sur Spearfishing

Went spearfishing at a new spot in Big Sur back in February, and was the first time I had ever seen an octopus. The water wasn't as deep since we had to stay in the cove to avoid the swell, but it was pretty clear and very blue otherwise.

I've dove this spot a few times but never knew the name! Heck yeah! My favorite little hidden cove... good features and fun kelp!

I saw someone do it one time I came here. Its not impossible but its a hell of a hike with a kayak.

looks like you may not be able to wheelie down to the beach area so at the junction you will need to carry it down. it's doable. definitely way shorter drive to limekiln.
